That was really fun and energetic and the horns and woodwinds added some exciting new texture to the piece. Also, the pianist rocked it. The whole way through, I was excited to hear how they would handle the Aquatarkus theme and I'm really bummed that they skipped it. It's probably my favorite part of the original piece and it would have sounded great with the added horns.
Magnífico, brillante interpretación del más grande super grupo del rock progresivo. ELP, grandes músicos y leyendas de la mejor época de la música contemporánea.Felicitaciones.!!
Fantastic idea to revive this 1969 classic with acoustic instruments. Quite a new sound without the old Moog synthesizers. Great job by the musicians. This is a very difficult piece. It sounds to me like "Emerson, Lake & Palmer meets Hector Berlioz".
Great and very tight arrangement and performance ! The keyboard sounds, organ, synthesiser and piano have been kept faithful to the original. Like wise the drum sounds are close to the original recording. :)
Fantastic! What a great arrangement this is, and what a performance! Thank you so much for sharing. It's nice to see Emerson's music getting some constructive attention after so many years (decades) of derision. I'm sure that Keith would be very impressed, and gratified, by this. Brilliant!
I, and others I'm sure, have been waiting for DECADES for ELP's music to get the proper orchestral treatment it so richly deserves. THANK YOU Rene Bosc et al, you do ELP, and we the fans, a great honor.
j'ai assisté au concert "pictures at an exhibition" à Bruxelles.
There's some actual ELP studio version samples, in places, if you know what you are listening to. They are so deftly used, that it takes nothing away from the performers on stage, or the neat, compact arrangement. Of course, being a fan of the tour de force "Aquatarkus" from ELP's triple live album, I was hoping for more, there, but, that can be addressed, in time. Good luck with the project, maestro.
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Quentin Quinn i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
From the second time i heard this on the day that i bought the album at Sam Goodies at The Garden State Plaza, i knew it would be a long living classic like Stravinsky's Right of Spring... R.I.P. Keith you shudda hung in there....😢
I feared but I was wrong. It's SUPER !!!
Bravissimo !!! The best orchestral version I have heard so far. High Dynamic and most expressive ! Strong !!! Also you chosed a very well arrangement in length and same time built in some original parts. Alltogether that works fine and generates a wonderful unit. Thank You !
Man those kids are good! It was note for note even though rearranged. It was true to the original, even minus the L and P, giving this high scores. Very well done Rene' Bosc.
Bravo! … a great interpretation of one of the greatest compositions by the masters ELP! … RIP Keith and Greg you are greatly missed but evidence shows you are definitely NOT forgotten!
Does anyone know if Mr. Keith Emerson got to see this version? I would have loved to see his response and to know he was appreciated. Watched some video interview in his 20's. He commented on wanting to be known as a composer. WELL.
@@spiffyg4939 if you look in the description you'll see that her name is Kate Emerson (or maybe she has some relation with keith) but that's just a big coincidence...because now I know Keith had just 2 sons
Dear René, thank you very much for this work. Oh yes, please continue with this kind of projects! Imho this music (ELP, Genesis, King Crimson, Yes...) is still being underestimated in terms of musical quality. Hope to hear more from you!
Bravo!!!! The best orchestral arrange and performance of this ELP material i have heard to date. I wished you had done all the suites, including the vocals, but what you did was excellent. Try doing it without the samples, however.
Jeffrey Zaiser agreed samples are not necessary but I love the arrangement is fantastic and loved the familiarity of original sounds (drums and keys). Instead of samples you could use midi interfaces on these instruments to perform real time and live. The editing however was flawless and loved the orchestration especially breath instrumentation.

I love this version. It's well done, even with a little help of some samples, but the arrangement (a totally edit) is agressive and exciting like the original... well done (Much beter than the 'Three Fates'-Mikkelson-version).
Interesting you say that. Keith was involved with the Mikkelsen Three Fates Project. Tarkus Concertante was 20 minutes long, so included more of the original. Will have to listen to it again.
@@fulltongrace7899 I said this because I think this arrangement (Bosco's) is a more kinky edit version by some brass-orchestra including additions. I relistened to the Three Fates version and I agree it is not as exciting as this one and also a much slower tempo. Yes Malambo better and a beautiful short orchestral piece written by Keith called After All This Time.
Keith Emerson would be proud.
Great rendition, much closer to the original than I expected.
Also awesome tam tam.
Tarkus is the best composition of Keith Emerson. The speed and sphere of this performance is outstanding!
Absolute Spitzenklasse.Wahnsinns Arrangement. Danke Rene Bosc. Sie sind ein wahrer Meister.
Amazing interpretation of such a complex composition…!!!! Bravo…!!!!!

Interesting ensamble. Crazy film direction
Not only a nice work, a terrific, sincere, authentic re-freshing, but with great respect, including samples from the original . Thx from all EL&P fans

Magnifique !!! Bravo !
Ou est ca?
Keith Emerson is quite the composer. His pieces could be performed over and over and new bits discovered. Genius!
He is not "quite" the composer, he IS the composer. (with some contributions of Greg Lake and Carl Palmer)
