What you need is to upgrade your piston return springs. Also DOT 17 blinker fluid helps. I once had winter air in the tire for the summer, and that was messing up the rev hang way too much. Also unplug the alternator from the exhaust manifold. But do keep the O2 sensor in the speakers.
Always great chilling with you and happy for you to drop by and collab with us!! Hopefully more BRZ owners get to experience the same reaction you had when feeling the difference the Sprint Booster makes!
FYI Guys never leave your foot depressed on the gas pedal when changing settings on the selector. The unit itself does not like toggling through settings while it is sending a signal from your pedal assembly to the ECU. Always remember to take your foot off change settings then re-apply. The units come with a 3 year warranty so you are always covered.
it was the last mod i did for the original 86 and will be the first performance mod for my 2023 civic sport hatchback. Love how it changes the personality of the car.
ught sprint booster for my 2018 subaru wrx modified and tuned after I installed the sprint booster it keeps throwing a codes about throttle pedal position. P2109, P2122, P2127. I also install it properly. Any Idea what’s wrong installing a sprint booster?
They make it better throttle response down low but you actually lose power up top. Like alot of power. Ive installed them in afew cars and thats how they all are.
my gf's civic sport auto has race, normal, eco and its the same idea. works really well. if youre in eco and wanna go faster just switch to normal or sport and the car just starts to go faster
It goes further than that, if the solution was as simple as pressing harder on the pedal we would all be driving cable throttle driven cars today! ETC throttle pedals have a small potentiometer inside. The output of this potentiometer isn't ideal for certain driving situations like overtaking, quick stop and go and launches. This is why re-tuning the throttle is always a better option. Usually when you purchase a top of the line ECU tuner they will re-tune the throttle output as well to accomplish the same thing. This device just addresses that simple weak point independently.
You can yes. But if you plan on purchasing the Hondata Flash pro then it will offer this as a editable parameter. So once you take it to your Hondata Tuner for a custom tune he can tune the throttle as well and make it more or less aggressive.
See and I actually want the opposite. The BRZ has a hyper active throttle as it is I barely touch the throttled and the car wants to run. I have played around with a scan tool. When my foot commands 10% throttle the ECU actually opens the throttle about 32%. It varies on conditions I cant figure out but it definitely gives the car way more throttle than you tell it to. To me that makes throttle modulation and control mich more difficult.
@@Blight-fp3vt It also opens the throttle blade to about 30% when you barely put your toe on the gas. Thats how they make slow 4 bangers feel fast. It seems soooo quick when you are just trying to drive easy. But then when you go dull throttle you get disappointed because there isn't much there.
@@Blight-fp3vt No. I have a 22 BRZ. It absolutely does it. If you have an OBD2 scanner and the torque app you can actually see it in real time. When my foot commands 5% throttle the actual throttle body opens anywhere between 30-35% By the time you get your foot to about 65% of the way to the floor, its actually already wide open.
@@boost331 This is not my experience in my manual, nor the experience I had on my test drive with an automatic. Its possible you have a faulty throttle position sensor - that is a crazy amount of throttle for a 5% accelerator depression and quite dangerous, I would speak to your service department immediately.
Hey Chris I can get one of these in Australia for around $600Aud who would be able to install it for me ? I’m crap at doing all that kind of stuff Cheers
Your local automotive technician is capable of installing these units. If you have a local performance shop in your area then you can ask them as well. Australia has a ton of Sprint Booster dealers like Zadtec, Carsnine and Carmod Australia.
Here is the video of the installation - thanks for coming by homie! ruclips.net/video/qHwmfYliybU/видео.html
It was great working with you guys. Thanks again for the install!

You are an absolute genius!

The unit is good on both matic and manual cars, yes?
@@dennispagulayan1900 yup there is a switch on the controller to toggle between manual and automatic

What is different from just pressing the gas pedal all the way? Does the same thing.

Can you tell me what is your wheel setup . And is there wheel spacers ? Thx .
Hey man, know any good Subaru tuner in Toronto or Scarborough?
Love the wheels, what are they sir?
Works T7R 2P
Weird. I feel like the only thing my gr doesn't have is lag. If anything the throttle is overly sensitive.
I’ve had a few people tell me that too, mines honestly completely opposite
would you be able ask the a the guys at JRP if I can use the sprint booster together with the hondata flash pro

So you don't have the 10th gen SI civic anymore?
Wheels? Thanks
Im right behind you 😪 i just got a big carbon fiber piece for my 2022 brz too!! (wait time 7 months tho)
Ouch! I luckily got mine in a couple weeks!

It depends on what revs you are in - the programming has a lot of rev hang under 4-5k, it disappears after that. Its the ECU tune.

What's that spray booster ?
Are you still using this?
The throttle lag is only there sub 5k (well for mine anyway). You change anywhere above that and its gone. ECU programming I guess.
Can you please tell me what wheels are on your car in this video?
They are work t7r2p and I’m selling them as we speak!
Is there any point in getting this with a A/T Gr86 seeing as it already comes with sport mode?
I want to know too
Try Sport 3 or 5 that might good for the track - Also wondering why Sport 9…
Car looks effing fine
Thanks!

Does this remove rev hang?
Prob not
Why is the Sprint Booster so ugly?
Ugly but it works!
Pretty sure a larger throttle body does the same thing
