One of the reasons that Deadpool was paired with Cable in the comics is because of that massive difference in tone. Deadpool's craziness paired with Cable's dead serious demeanor. If there are good screenwriters and a great director, I imagine we're in for a fun time

I had a fan theory of what DP3 could be about. They could go the incursion route since that's happening in the MCU and introduce the Deadpool Corps. A group of Deadpool's from different dimensions and have it led by Wanda Wilson aka Lady Deadpool (Played by Blake Lively perhaps?). Base a bit from the comic Deadpool Kills Deadpool (2013) with a Wolverine fight/team up. It's pretty campy with the whole multiverse plot but it could be a cool movie for the fans. Plus Wolverine and Deadpool teaming up to fight other Deadpools sounds pretty fun.
I love wolverine & Deadpool’s dynamic in the comics it’s so funny how unamused Logan is lol and I’ve only read like 2 really. DeadPool has also been in some Spider-Man cartoons
I literally checked the channel 2 mins ago to see if u guys reacted to this, it wasn’t there, I went to subscriptions section, and I saw this 😍😍
Well, the closest wolverine was made to provide a comedic moment was Xmen First Class when he had one memorable line. And Origins did establish Logan and Wade having a semi-antagonistic but cordial relationship. Yeah, i can see this being like a cop-buddy type of film.

As far as the comedy-seriousness balance is concerned, even in Deadpool 2 they did a pretty fine job of handling Wade's witty dark humour with Cable's dark, snarky and dry comments. I would probably expect Wolverine to have a similar vibe to Cable

6:48 Understandable. The Marvel comics actually do a pretty good job balancing out Wolverine and other humorous characters like Spider-Man & Deadpool. Plus, Deadpool and Wolverine are more acquaintances than friends in these stories because their either trying to kill each other or work together. Mostly because Wolverine's temper and Deadpool is a lot more insane and unpredictable in the comics.

I can't believe I've seen that movie enough that even with all the changes I still recognize the exact second that t-shirt is from.
The Fox X-Men continuity has never made sense. They pretty much embraced it after a certain point and didn't even bother explaining the retcons anymore. X-Men movies are all alternate realities from each other so I wouldn't think too hard about it. Prof X already appeared in the MCU so Logan's not that hard a stretch.

The movie timeline followed us until Endgame put us 2019 + 5 years later into 2024. Every MARVEL movie after Endgame is now into the future ahead of 2022.

TBH Wolverine had his comedic moments. Whenever he burned Scott, whne he was talking with kids in X-2 in the manor kitchen. He just sold them so seriously it seemed,well, serious.

I went to the theatre to watch Once Upon a Deadpool. I liked the added stuff. Everything else was basically the same except modifying language here and there and maybe some of the violence (can't remember for sure on that now). I think you'll appreciate the added footage now that you've seen a certain movie thanks to Achara.

The timeline for the Fox universe is so messed up that it doesn’t even matter. Logan was set in 2029 mainly due to the fact that they wanted it removed from the other films so that it wouldn’t matter if they connected and could vaguely reference them if they wanted to.
They did say it. There's a scene in the beginning where he's driving and in the radio they mention the year.

Outside of the movies, in both the comics AND animation, Wolverine has actually been used comedically quite often. Just not yet in live action.

I mean Deadpool 2 kind of showed what it could be like since Cable was a serious character who didnt joke around alongside DP's goofy and comedic behaviour, i imagine it'll be similar to that but way more fleshed out.
That is one of many things I loved about the Deadpool movies was that when Deadpool or other comic reliefs like Dopinder, Al and Weasel are not on screen, the scenes are more serious even with Frances in the first movie.
Also his change in tone from being Deadpool to being Husband Wade around his wife, is an interesting and nice touch.

Right up until the beginning of Endgame, MCU time was the same as real time. The end of Infinity War/beginning of Endgame occurred in 2018. After Thanos died, we skipped ahead 5 years, so any movie that came out after Endgame and was set after the Hulk’s “ return snap” occurs in 2023 or later. Hawkeye, TFATWS, WandaVision, The Eternals, and I’m pretty sure Shang-Chi, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk are all set in 2023-2024.

** Secrets of the MCU **
Achara, originally the MCU movies were set (or ended in post credit) in the same year as the movie was released. So Iron Man 1 was set in 2008, and every movie that followed up thru Captain Marvel was set X number of years after that start, up to 2019.
Doing the 5 year gap in Endgame both (imho) set up a dramatic break in closing out Phase 4, and allowed the studio a buffer of a few years to work on and introduce new projects. So at the "End" of Endgame the year in the MCU was late 2024 or early 2025 and movies and shows would follow from there each year. (Black Widow 2021) would be the exception with it ending just before the events of Infinity War.
And the delays caused by the pandemic did cut into that buffer just a little.
So from Shang-Chi on and the first set of Disney+ shows, lets say the the MCU-Earth year is 2025 and go from there. BUT, as Jaby points out, the events of LOGAN took place in a different universe (lets call it the FOX-PreMCU-Earth) and the timeline there may not match up exactly with Earth-616MCU.
In Other Words, if it were up to me, Deadpool would take place in a different universe than the current MCU. Where the laws of cinema physics allows for different powers and different rules for time travel for example. But might allow for some sort of crossover event to bring the heroes from each World to meet up and fight a greater threat per se.

Actually , this was already planned a long time ago. Watch the End Credits of Deadpool 2 when Deadpool is going back in time to "fix the time line" and pay attention to what deadpool says in the scene with Wolverine . 😂
Stan Lee was a genius. He could picture this stuff in the 30's. Shoot, I watched an interview with him about when he passes on that people would be begging to be able to get into his safe. According to Stan, he had a few ideas in a box in there. His daughter is probably set for life thanks to him.
Just remembered, my mom and I were watching Jeopardy and the final question was who was in 40 action movies, but wasn't an actor. I laughed and said Stan Lee, mom just looked at me like I was crazy. I was right, and she asked who he was. That took some explanation.

The current MCU year is 2025. Hawkeye was Christmas week 2024. WandaVision was 3 weeks after Endgame which was in September/October 2023 and Falcon and the Winter Soldier was the first project in 2024. Everything after Hawkeye has been in 2025 so far.
I bet they have told the whole script for real and we gonna know that after the movie release..

People forget Wolverine and Wade Wilson/Deadpool have been in a movie together, although very briefly, in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. And I think the MCU year is 2025 or 2026 because of the 5 year blip period
