This is one of those songs that just hits you in the heart. If you live long enough, someone you love is who he is describing. As I age I just pray it is never me knowing most of us are headed that way. Thanks to Riley for this song, everyone that requested it and you Don for the reaction/review.
Thank you so much Don. This on will go on my playlist. Have never heard this song. I have specialized in the care of Dementia and Alzheimer's for years. Its a sad thing to see and a very difficult thing for families to go through, but can be a beautiful and fulfilling experience with many sweet memories if you choose to live in their world with them.
You prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Aries Myles i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Aries Myles WTF IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Just got access to my instagram password within ~ 30 minutes of using the site. I had to pay 15 $ but for sure worth the money :) Thank you so much you saved my account !
This is a deeply personal tale for sure told from the point of view of a grandson who has retained loving memories of his grandfather. This is an example of country music at it's best - when it captures the very essence of being human and connectedness with others. This song is impressive on both a musical and lyrical level. Thanks again for another insightful reaction, Don and keep rockin' that country.
I’m glad I didn’t have a camera on me the first time I heard this, it was necessary to pull over. Great writer, his use of a working class voice really added to the impact.
What a fantastic song. There's so much here in this song. It's difficult to find words to describe all the things this song does to me. I think it's difficult because the topic, the mixed emotions that are involved are hard to describe. Riley , with this song does such a nice job of bringing it all to light without tearing your heart out by letting us know (he still knows the numbers on the cars) . The first time I heard this I cried like a baby. I've lost a few parents, grands, Aunts and uncles. The story of this young man choosing to spend time with his grand dad moves me. Challenges me to be there more for the ones I still have in my life. Embarrasses me abut the ones I've let down, failed. Don thanks, have a great day. Riley! What a song!
@TheNascarfan999 Oh yes, I know Brett's song well--I reviewed it very early in the channel. I had dinner with Brett here in NJ about six months after "Raymond" was released. He was performing in a small club with Frankie Ballard at the time, and I was and still am friends with Frankie, so when he came to town he shot me a text to join him for dinner, and it turned out Brett was also there. Brett wasn't huge at the time, but I knew the song and I got to tell him that I thought it would song of the year. It is an amazing song and still hits me in the feels pretty deeply. So poignant and mesmerizing.
@@RockN2Country I'm sorry I don't remember your Raymond reaction, although I know I would have watched it. I knew you had some kind of connection to Frankie Ballard and remembering you reacting to some of Frankie's songs early on (of which Young and Crazy is by far my favorite of his).
If you’re doing more Nashville country you should really react to some Luke Combs who is probably the best thing coming out of Nashville right now My favorite is either even though I’m leaving or Used to you being gone
This song didn't get the hype it deserved. So underrated. Best song on the album IMO

Riley Green " Never Done It Sober "

Riley is tremendous. Bury me in a Dixie is also great. He was a QB at Jacksonville State.
This is by far one of the most emotional songs I’ve ever heard. I legit have to skip if I don’t wanna open up the waterworks
This one is a little more personal being his grandfather, but it reminds me of Brett Eldridge's debut single "Raymond". Definitely worth a listen.

This song hits way too close. My mom and my mother-n-law. Been down that terrible road.
this maybe my favorite song of Riley's.
Kenny Chesney..."While He still knows who I am" Tim Rushlow...."She Misses Him" both amazing songs dealing with memory loss
morning Don never heard of this singer nice song keep a edge on your blade HAKAD
This is kinda like what I've been going through with my Aunt.....it's surprising what they do remember
Beautiful song about sad disease. Same kind of song than Ashley Cambell's song Remembering is about her father Glen.
You need to listen to Randall King’s “When he knows me”. You won’t be disappointed.
Don can you do North on 21 from Riley Green?
