Just before his solo show in Amsterdam I got the chance to sit down and talk with him.

No matter what direction Marko travels in the future, I wish him only the best. What a decent guy who has left us a treasure trove of wonderful memories that will always be on my playlists.

It was lovely to hop on the time machine and see Marko a month before all hell broke loose, knowing what the actual status and changes on the band and on the world have take.
Also, I can't imagine having the energy for a concert after eating only water for 5 hours. Hope this time has helped him nurture his health (body and mind) little by little to a better stage.

i for one learned about Nightwish from Reaction Videos. that is definitely a thing. Confirmed. i hope he's doing what makes him happy. does Marko have a merch store? if he does, everyone should get someone a gift from Marko.
I visioned that there will be a big chang lineup in Nightwish in total. So hope Emppu will stay until the last time. If he leaves. Nightwish will be a totally different band with same orchestrator - Toumas.
I hope that Marko is doing well in what ever he wants to do,mabe one day we will have a chance to see him again in a band,or solo

Some reactors are such good liars, narcissistic af, that it may take even the most skilled and experienced NW fan a tad longer to realize. Sorry he didn’t want to do the big shows in the Netherlands with “that girl they got” anymore. If that show ever happens that is.

@@isblanco711 nope, not at all. Marko referred to Floor as “that girl they got” in this interview in a positive, joking way. Then COVID hit, the shows got rescheduled and Marko decided he wasn’t up to it any more and wanted a break. So, the show he referenced isn’t going to happen with him performing any more. I did not mean to imply that that has anything to do with their relationship, just that that’s how things are turning out to be.
I was supposed to be at the show he meant, was supposed to go tonight as it got rescheduled twice, and today heard the new date is going to be late November 2022. Yup, a full 2 years late.

No doubt he was tired, drained after being in NW for so long.......lots of bands are ageing, we forget that....bands play hard live, put on a show.....then they have to move to the next show venue. They miss home, loved ones......eventually something gives.

In my opinion it was the dead of his good friend Alexis Laiho, but it is just MY OPINION!

Care to elaborate? One's career is meaningless if you're not healthy enough to pursue it. And a guy with his status and merits doesn't have to prove anything anymore.

Marco and Tarja, are doing much better without Nightwish.
And Floor gets solo more and more succes here in the Netherlands all her solo shows are sold out in no time. So i think she is also doing great by herself and her first solo album is comming but i hoop she stays in Nightwish.

@@Teunstah Nope, a newer fan from last year. Floor is a major upgrade from Tarja and I know as much as you regarding Marco taking time off based on his interview and notice.
