I love the layouts of both of these courses. Usually ball golf courses are so boring to watch, but the course designer made great usage of the trees between the ball golf fairways.
Absolutely love the addition of showing players throwing in slow motion on the same screen like at the beginning of the video. I noticed it in round 1 and 2 coverage as well and hoping that we keep seeing it in the future!
Big Jerm is hands down my favorite disc golfer. What an amazing dude and excellent commentator. BigSexy is why I play disc golf. I still play golf, but I think I love watching the disc fly a little more🤗
So I tried the 2 finger backhand today like Aaron and I don’t get it… how the hell can he generate that much power? I couldn’t hold on to the disc long enough to throw it out of my shadow.
The old football adage "any given Sunday" comes to mind and as well as no matter how good you are sometimes fate, luck (good or bad), destiny or whatever you want to call it rears it head and bam you can go zero to hero or the other way just like that. Part of why I watch sports that I like. Great job as always gentlemen keep up the good work.
Regarding position through X holes vs real-time scoring on the show. The thing Jerm said about round 1 about the absurdity of the players on lead card being in 80th place before throwing a disc exists in every round.
Not hugely relevant .. but I wanted to give a shout-out to latitude for their semi-recent reboot of their social media presence. Hiring Jonathan as a disc golf novice and kind of giving him free reign to make RUclips videos about learning the game and learning how discs fly etc... It's very refreshing to have someone with a fun personality but no disc golf experience. It's cool to watch him learn, and his energy/vibe is just so cool. This comment was inspired by the lat64 ad with the auto tune... I usually skip every ad. But that one caught my attention and I loved how much fun they were having. This is a fun sport and it's nice to see the fun side in the ads too. So anyway, if anyone from Latitude is reading this, please accept my praise and tell Jonathan he's doing a great job of helping to expand the sport to new players. Nothing but love.
you say you've been reading the comments... i love Jomez but i'm SO BAFFLED at all the new scoring info popping up all over the screen and no full card scores visible during play!?! it's like i'm watching a Final Four game and there's stats from all the various bracket matchups but I don't get to see the actual game score between the teams I tuned in to watch?! This is so weird. I've already bailed on more than half of the rounds from this season, even though I hadn't missed any in the last 3 years :( HELPP!
It's not hard. What they are showing are the standings in the real time as the players are playing. So at any given moment players have finished their rounds or are in the middle, this is the info the players would have in the moment. It makes more sense now. You don't really know the leaders until everyone is finished, but the lead card has the knowledge of what they have to do to win more than anyone. And we do see the actual card scores, they show that in between every basket. Not sure why you're having so much trouble.
@@konroh2 eyy i'm just talking about bringing back the four players' scores along the bottom of the screen during the round so we can easily reference and compare their current scores and also any trends in scoring in the last 9 holes. i know there's a debate over what you're referring to, which i have an opinion on, but i'm just picking my battles. taking the card scores off the screen has made the rounds so much less engaging, i'm just trying not to lose interest in my fave youtube channel!!!
@@cmonjose I guess it'd be nice to see all 4 players scores at any given moment, but we see this in between each basket, and they even showcase who's the leader with them changing position, plus we know who won the previous basket by who plays off the pad first. Your interest in what's happening is not in just what happens on each basket but the total happenings of the event. I'm really not sure how you're losing interest. It seems we all have shorter attention spans. When's the last time you read a complete book? (I can ask myself the same question, I need to do this more, last time was a month ago, a detective novel, but of course I read blogs, articles, different books and the Bible every day.) Go back to the old format, instead of pretending we're watching this live. It is extremely annoying, as a die-hard, longtime viewer of Jomez tournament coverage
I use mozilla with adblock, sponsorblock and such so no ads at all for me. RUclipss 5+ ads is a interest killer and you don't wanna watch anything anymore.

They said they were going to.. but in rounds 2 and 3 we saw the scoreboard to be similar to the old style, showing scores from around the current hole and a few finish scores. Previously they were posting finish scores, hot rounds, right on hole 1 and 2, completely spoiling other cards.
Sooo that's why the disc's names aren't in the bottom. Don't the companies know how many disc's they'd sell if people knew what they're favorite pros where using and seeing what they can do. Seems idiotic

You don't see any clowns announcing players at PGA or ATP events. If you're on the outside of any sport all such details just stick out like a sore thumb. In all entertainment, production needs to be consistent or you'll lose the respect of a prospective viewer at the get-go. You'll get my point if anyone ever tries to get you into their sport: everything that's not produced to a t will repel you because there's just so many other highly produced things competing for your attention. It's the world we live in and we need to take the sport 100% seriously for outside viewers to do so as well.

Disc golf is more or less only played in the USA and Finland so there is still huge potential for the sport to grow, in my opinion. It's just incongruous and reduces the credibility of the product, in my opinion. Not to say that shooting yourself in the foot is wrong per se, though. I may also be wrong and more people like it than hate it. I just find it takes away from the focus of the sport.
