- This is a 6 month review on the Reef Octopus Octo Essence 130 protein skimmer. I'm using this skimmer on my 75 gallon reef tank. It's an update on how the skimmer is performing and my thoughts on it.
Love to my classic 150 so I'm sure you're enjoying this one

Yup no over skimming now back in the days we were working hard on taking nitrates and phosphates out now the corals get better coloration and grow faster with a little bit of phosphates and nitrates we just have to keep an eye on them , I did struggle with my tank for a while because of very very low undetectable nutrients now my corals look way better after dosing nitrates and phosphates but awesome review on the skimmer bud 💯👍🤟 I’ll keep an eye on it just in case I need another skimmer

Great information. I'm looking for a skimmer for a Waterbox 60.2 Marine. Total water volume with sump is just under 62 gallons. You have sold me on this skimmer, but i wonder if it may be too much for my system? I was also looking at the RO 110 space saver, but this model looks so much better. Thanks, again.

what dept is your skimmer set at ? just got mine a few days ago and set it at the recommendation of water level and it overflow like crazy ... any tip would appreciate it thanks !!
