My condolences to you and the many, many people whose lives were touched by Angelo and his music. It will be a beautiful day, in no small part due to the beauty he brought into the world.
David, you are such a blessing. You don't have to do this what you do every day, but you still do. Thank you. Angelo will be here forever through his amazing music.

Here in SF, A real nose nipper this morning David. The temp says 40F/12C, but there are bits of frost on the ground; also some bits of ground fog here and there that’ll clear soon, then we should take the rest of the day under clear skies with maybe some thin high clouds. The range:

Rewatched “The Straight Story” on Disney + and forgot how charming, funny and beautiful it is. The score is one of the best from Mr. Badalamenti. RIP
I've been thinking about him a lot, too. I was listening to some Bowie instrumentals that reminded me of his sound. May that sound bring some peace to Angelo's loved ones now.🙏💝🕊

Today I'm thinking about many Angelo Badalamenti scores, but the two that come to mind right now are "Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me Theme" and from the Return "Heartbreaking" which was played in an astonishing episode.
Badalamenti had such an original, distinct musical voice. I'm not one who gets bummed out about 'celebrity' deaths, but his music has been part of my life for decades. David and Angelo had such a wonderful working relationship, and it produced hours of wonderful movies and music. It's funny to see how Lynch has reacted to Badalamenti's death--no big, self-serving speeches about how much the departed meant to him--he just seems sad. You know, like real people act when someone they care about is gone.
I'm very sorry for your loss. Angelo Badalamenti was not only a great artist but a lifelong friend to you, and you to him.
"Thank you for the music", Angelo.

Angelo's music helped me through so much pain when my life was experiencing rapid change at a time I was not ready for it. His music will always be a home we can return to when we feel lost. Thank you Angelo and David.

Hasn't risen above 32F here today but had blue skies and golden sunshine all along the way. A perfect day to be out walking the dog for a few hours. Hope you had a great day David.
Good morning! Here in Dunedin, a cloudy morning. A calm breeze blowing. 60.08 degrees Fahrenheit, around 15.6 Celsius. There's gonna be a few showers around midday, and fine breaks this afternoon before low cloud returns this evening. Easterlies will be hanging about through the day. This afternoon, it's gonna be going up to 64.4 degrees Fahrenheit, that's around 18 Celsius, and it looks like, showers, shaping up to be partly cloudy, all along the way.
Today I am currently thinking about TWO songs. The first song is "Come See About Me" by The Supremes, from the year 1964. The second song is "The Greatest Show", from the film The Greatest Showman (2017). I would also, once again, like to pay tribute to Angelo Badalamenti. Thank you for the music, and may you rest in peace.

Yesterday I watched the John Carpenter film Vampires from 1998. I can’t wait to see what cinematic journeys today has in store!
We hope you're well David. I've been watching some of the films Angelo did music for: National Lampoon Christmas Vacation, The City of Lost Children and tonight is Cabin Fever. Though I must say, nothing rival what you both created together. We really do miss him.

No wait I have to say this. I spent the best part of my life making music, and that doesn’t even matter. Every time, as a child, I watched your previews in aus for fire walk with me made me feel funny* in a way I can’t legitimately do justice of even come close to articulating on RUclips. In such a strong way, I really have never have come across music in this form, in more than a literal handful of songs.. that come close to the instigation of such an intense feeling mourning, kindness, suffering, love, and regret, as those few notes presented to me as a child on those previews. Blew out my mind hearing the whole compositions.. Always put me in a different place. to the point of tears. This is not something to be taken lightly. Rest in godhood, Mr Badalamenti.. irrevocable.
You want proof of Badalamenti’s genius : anyone with a sampler, play the theme to Blue Velvet in reverse. Perfect sonic palindrome

After TP Season 3 so many David's people are gone. Harry Dean Stanton, Miguel Ferrer, Warren Frost, Peggy Lipton, Catherine Coulson, Julee Cruise, Al Strobel and now Angelo Badalamenti.
It's like they had been waiting for all these years and then fulfilled their roles and left.

Tired myself, in the school of loss, I feel I've known well some of what you've suffered, have suffered & are yet to endure. The same ills have taught me that time & contemplation & even laughter, are the best medicines. So I'll not, by useless condolences, open afresh the slices of your grief. But know that my tears are mingling with yours. And though words are vain, I hope it will be some comfort to us both that the term is not so far away where we will ascend to an ecstatic meeting with those whom we have loved & lost. And shall love again...
