According to the makers of the show, Johnny actually gets laid all the time. You only see his failed attempts because it's (barely) a kid's show.

Something a lot of people seem to not notice is you can shield these attacks. This means for most you have to use them while the opponent is in air. The most common spot is directly above you.
Vilgax's PTE is one of the best because it breaks shield. Billy and Mandy is one of the best because it gives a 1.5x damage buff therefore generates more power cubes to use again. You could just use PTE after spawning in from losing a stock and keep this buff for most of the game.

Hey that's exactly why I looked up this video lol. Somehow this game flew under my radar at the time though. Seems like I didn't miss much, but there's lots of potential here. Like you said, hopefully Nickelodeon can stick the landing and inspire others to make actually good crossover fighters/smash clones. I'd love a new PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale with an updated roster and Smash mechanics.

Why did people hate this game? It looks awesome.
It was one of the first games that directly "copied" the smash formula by having percents and "final smashes" and all. As a result many called it a rip off and shut it down day one. Of course some were interested as well however.
Next point, the game itself is also pretty hard to grasp on if you do come from the smash bros series. It plays totally different from Smash and feels floaty to some people. Many new players spam jab over and over, and the AI let's you get away with this. If the AI isn't that good, then the game will get boring quick. I often compare this game to Melee many times because Melee is another hard game to fully grasp at first. The AI in Melee is also rather quite poor, ironically constantly spamming jab. Melee needed a strong dedicated fanbase to survive. PTE just didn't have that. The audience for PTE is incredibly silent.
Now needless to say, it also hurts that this game didn't have proper online play to expand player base, keep people playing, or see new strategies. You'd have to play with either siblings or friends to fully enjoy it as this is a multiplayer party game after all. The result is the game dying real quick with mostly people who played with siblings or friends surprise surprise being the only ones who remember having good times with the game.
So, my friendly dude if you got someone to play with I recommend giving the game a shot. You'll find lots of funny stuff that happens, otherwise if you're doing singleplayer you may be out of luck as it won't last long.

Blossom's ult can deal 200% with PTE dancing or carry opponents off stage. It can also lead to a thunder which is her best move.

For those wanting a sequel (including me), I highly doubt it will ever happen knowing how bad CN is these days. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they completely forgot they made this.
Plus the existence of MultiVersus (a Warner Bros fighting game that has some Cartoon Network characters) and it’s low sales makes it more unlikely for a sequel to this game to happen.

The DI on this game was ridiculous: you could survive a very strong attack at 360% but would die at 10% if walked into the blastzone
DI in this game is only left and right after getting hit. Depends on stage and character that's launching. Bubbles is notorious for having awful knockback. Candied Island is centered around killing with candy corn hazards as it is a humongous stage.
