I've had more than 12 years of musical training, if that counts something, and I don't think she is flat a lot of the time, on the opposite, she is really controlled during her lives, especially if you compare her to other pop/indie pop singers... She is one of the singers who can actually sing a good live...
I think yeah she sometimes gets flat a lil, or what but she notice that immediately and corrects it in the second. She really does beautiful things, she knows what she does. And every performers has flaws OMG all, except maybe Celine Dion (not a big fan but technically she's a beast)
I love that there are still people out there saying that Marina cannot sing live :p Amazing vocal, love a singer who will push themselves for the performance and risk overdoing a note here and there to get the emotion through to the audience. Really looking forward to seeing the next tour.
I love love her performances but wish could see more slow balled-like singing as well because she sounds absolutely angelic but i love her talents either way of course
I've seen her live 6 times and I for one know the girl CAN sign live! She is amazing and gives it everything she has. I saw her acoustic set in LA a while back and she was great.
have you seen her other live performances? her live performances for her first album The Family Jewels are really good. especially if you look up her acoustic versions. she sounds like she does on the album(s)
