Another great tour. I’m sure glad it was you guys climbing those stairs, I would never have made it. Way to go. Snow, I’m betting your heart is really gaining in strength.
Great vlog! I love how you give us so much history info. It was wonderful to see how many stairs you can do now, Snow! Thanks again for bringing us along with you 😊
"Wow, I adore your vlogs! They're incredibly beautiful, and the historical context you both provide is truly amazing. Your comparison to the Great Wall of China was spot-on. Snow, your resilience is remarkable, considering everything you've been through. And Curt making light work of the seafood-brilliant! As always, I'm captivated by your vlogs and eagerly catching up while enjoying your latest content. Thank you for sharing your incredible travels. Ston looks absolutely stunning! 🫶👌💛"
The geology of Croatia is fascinating. The limestone overlays Cenozoic bedrock. There are micro plates that are sub ducting along the coastline, which accounts for the earthquakes and subsidence. I hope you’ll make it to Dubrovnik , limestone quarried there was used to build the Whitehouse in Washington DC. You might also find travertine waterfalls if you hike the National Parks - dissolved limestone emerging from underground waterways creates this beautiful geologic formation. 😍😍😍
I will never be able to go to theses places but I love watching your travels. The scooters were a true blessing. Now my husband watches you two as well 🫶🏻
Y’all will be feeling those thigh muscles tomorrow for sure! Thanks for an enjoyable tour. BTW, the red sauce is Avjar which is roasted red peppers, onions and garlic, and eggplant in some places. It’s a staple of the Balkans and Caucuses.
I have to say that Croatia was never a country that was even on my radar let alone my bucket list. You guys have managed to change that. Thank you!! Just beautiful.
Such an interesting and fascinating video this week - it’s amazing how salt was farmed all over the world and how valuable it was. As someone else has mentioned, people could be paid for their labour in salt, and I said above, iirc that’s where we got the word salary from. Curt - if it helps, use the still hinged shell of your first mussel as pincers or tongs to pull the other shellfish from their shells 👌🏻 I love that, while you were sat eating, we could hear a cat shouting somewhere near you. 😂 the smells must drive the local stray cats wild. Definitely another place on our bucket list! Hvala vam!
Thnk you for the wonderful tour guys! Wow! I put you on my bike and go riding with you through Croatia. It's a great way to get in my turns while you are getting in your steps! That wall though, wow I am thinking all the while I am spinning along that Snow, you have got the mucho cajones to be huffing up that wall, I would have made it a fraction of the way and would have to stop. Good on you for pushing through. And Curt, I can never keep up with you man. It was great! Thanks guys! Safe travels! Pam.❤☮
Wow! Ston and Mali Ston are beautiful villages. Thanks for showing us both. As the weather gets better, I'm looking forward to more adventures and hikes. BTW, great job Snow! Tuna salad, huh, Curt? Lol
That was cool to hear you say what a beautiful view for our house tonight. Just imagine you can open your door of your Van every night. And have a different view as beautiful as you can find, that's really nice. Your videos are really helping me with my European geography. I've always been kind of weak in that so thanks.
We are learning SO MUCH geography during this journey... three years ago, I could not tell you where half of these European countries are... and now we are going to drive thru them! The learning never stops.
I need a ❤ button!! Your videos are absolutely wonderful. I’ve been watching you guys for years and have always wished for more!! I’ve learned so much, which is one of the best things about travel, and you always deliver. Travel safe. We need you!!
What a cool place. I wouldn't be complaining about the cold. Cause your their when no one else is. Your having no problem with finding camps and walking the streets with no huge crowds is a big plus in my book. You just keep delivering unique places.
Dobro jutro (Good Morning)…You are in one of my favorite countries. I hope you get a chance to get to Plitvice National Park and see the waterfalls there.
Snow you did amazing on that wall! I'm so proud of you for persevering in your physical fitness through all of this journey! You've come a long way and not just in miles! Good for you! That wall was amazing. It's crazy to see such things man has built so long ago before they had the earth moving machines we have now days! Safe travels!
snow, question for you! I have replacement knees and so I have much difficulty with stairs. I'm like you, its iffy if I can do them so often I'll avoid doing the stairs altogether. with the walking sticks are you able to do a lot of stairs? I can hike up and down hills for hours but I can't do one step without difficulty. I"m leaving in 2 weeks for a 6 week solo hiking/exploring adventure in Europe, especially in Italy. I'm a 71 year old woman and I try to not put limitations on myself, I always try to find a work around, or a walk around lol. keep it up!!!! You're my inspiration!!
The walking sticks help me SO MUCH with stairs.... But, I use them more like canes when I'm going up or down stairs... I put most of my weight on my arms.
not that the two of you aren't genuine Snow, but that lunch scene where Curt tricked you into eating fishy fish and your response, that was real Snow & Curt.
That red spread are probably AJVAR; a very Balkan relish with red peppers (we call peppers paprika),tomatoes and onions. Nice with new places, thanks 🙏🏼
Ayvar! A ubiquitous condiment throughout the former Yugoslav countries. Made of red peppers found in abundance in the fall farmer’s markets with people carrying large sacks of them home. Also found bottled in grocery stores.
It's amazing the amount of work goes into making your videos just the logisitics side of it would put me off.. so grateful for all the beautiful work you do.. 💕
Dear Snow and Curt, my husband and I finally made it to STON, WOW, it was so beautiful. Sadly, I could not walk up the steps as I am still recovering from a total knee surgery however, we stopped to eat lunch by the small seaside in Ston. Such a great dining experience with a full bowl of mussels and oyster soup at Kapetanova Kuca. When we drove from Split to Ston, I kept telling my husband I was so glad I watched your video of your travels as it helped me put together our trip. I am so grateful for your videos. We are in Dubrovnik and going to Montenegro in a few days. THAN YOU for the amazing suggestions.
You guys are looking great👍🏻. What a beautiful day for a hike up the "Wall". Your lunch made me hungry, so delicious looking 😋. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week.
Thats gotta be one of your best cross edit Videos, and without repeating what the other has just said. Great light and tones. Well done. Very chilled as well. Thank You
🎉 now I love the video! And I would have loved to seen Kurt pull out the old Viking Spirit and put Snow over his shoulders and carry her up all those steps! 😅 well since she's lost so much weight I'm sure you'd have no problem😊
You two find the most unusual and interesting places to share with us! Ston and its wall is just spectacular! The food looked delicious, too. I am with you, Snow, on your food choices, but I give Curt credit for making his look so yummy. So nice to see that you never forget your kitty-walk time! God bless you! Patricia
Wonderful as always. And Snow, well done on the stair climb. And Curt, that wall was enormous, well done on that too. Navigating Visas is a pain.. roll on the border crossing ❤❤❤
What a wonderful place! Love Ston! It was all so interesting!! Can't believe 3 months has gone by already! I just love your videos!! Can't wait for the next video!
Wow, I can't imagine building such a long wall without modern technology. As usual, thanks for sharing your adventures. Your doing great Snow, i have heart failure and would be panting like a dog...lol
Snow, I’ve been here since the beginning. I’m so proud of you. To see you climb those steps!!! I know you have done lots of things but those steps. !!!!!! I’m so proud of you! What a ways you have come with your heart. I’m crying watching you! Love you both!!!also…..to control the high ground… they can’t sneak up behind you!
Congratulations Snow! That Wall was a challenge! You did it and gave us such beautiful views. Kurt, thank you for the longer route. Hope you two weren’t sore the next day. The bread at your meal looked so good! No fish for me either. Can’t even be near the faintest smell of fish Thank you for making my morning a happy one. I felt like I was there with you!
In the Great room in the castle, you can see holes that look like brick holes. What the holes are - where beams used to demarcate different levels. So the wood has rotted away, and left holes.
I've walked the wall around Dubrovnik and walked a substantial portion of the Great Wall of China, but this one is no slouch!!! Good on ya both! CRoatia is gorgeous ... I've only been to Dubrovnik (twice) and look forward to exploring more of that beautiful country as well as Montenegro (I've only been to Kotor via cruise ship) which I really loved.
yes…..i too though that it kind of looked like the wall of China which I too had the joy of walking a tiny part of the many many kilometers of the great wall .
Good morning Snow and Curt ☀️ What an amazing town and that wall was so incredible. Definitely adding Ston to my bucket list of places to see. I had heard that Croatia had a stunning coastline, but forgot about their rich history. Looking forward to seeing it with you both during weather weather. I'm currently expecting some warmer weather today of +10C but we're expecting it to go back down to seasonal temps tomorrow of -15C, so I'm enjoying it while it lasts 🤪 Safe travels, 🤗🇨🇦
It was so great watching you Snow climb up those stairs, on that hillside on that new knee and with your rehabilitated heart. You have come such a long way!
I will be heading to Croatia in October so I am really enjoying your travels in Europe. Kurt….a little hint….when you eat clams and the like you might notice that Europeans use one side of the shell to scoop the meat out of the other side 😉
They have an incredible cheese there that to me has the best taste of all cheeses. Called mammal (not sure of spelling) it's soft like butter. In fact when I was in Dubrovnik and that area it was put on the table instead of butter. The taste is divine! I wish I could taste it again. I can't buy any here - even in the European grocery stores here.
That wall is amazing. The history is almost overwhelming to think about. You both do an excellent job at explaining in detail everything about each area. Such a beautiful town and your lunch looked very tasty!
I loved the hike! And thank you both for inspiring me to get hiking sticks. I am 69 and have knee issues. Thanks to the hiking sticks I was able to keep up with walking tours I France and I just visited Key West and walked 6.5 miles using my hiking sticks. Thanks for the inspiration. I got a kick out of Kirk’s trick to get you to try the fish spread. You guys are the best!❤

Can’t sleep. A soothing Snow and Curt video is just what I need 💕
Right here with you friend!😊
Same for me 😊
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Me too

Thank you so much for the kind words! Curt never has a problem with seafood! LOL!! We will 'see' you in a few days!

Ha! That kitty would not stop meowing! Do not worry... he got some snacks from us! LOL
Praying for your protection as your journey keeps you exploring all the beautiful places on this great earth.❤

Oh my gosh literally my mouth is watering watching Curt sop up that garlic butter broth with the bread 🤤
Dobro jutro (Good Morning)…You are in one of my favorite countries. I hope you get a chance to get to Plitvice National Park and see the waterfalls there.
We will... but not this go around in Croatia... we are out of time on our visa! But, we will be back!
Video: Amazing!
Soundtrack: out of this world!
You nailed it, guys! Bravo!

Wonderful episode! What a fabulous day to do the wall walk and thank you for sharing the food, a sight to behold! From beautiful South Australia.❤️
So proud of you, Snow, because you keep on plugging!
The Former Republic of Yugoslavia where you're at has so much WW2 aviation history. I would so love to visit that area. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Snow and Kurt, I so enjoyed 'eating' with you at my supper time.
I'm much more pork chop than oyster!!

@@SnowAndCurt thank you both! Enjoy Italy 🇮🇹 💫
You guys are looking great👍🏻. What a beautiful day for a hike up the "Wall". Your lunch made me hungry, so delicious looking 😋. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week.
I try to imagine the people hauling the rocks to build the houses, walls and castles. Incredible ❤. Love you guys!
Thats gotta be one of your best cross edit Videos, and without repeating what the other has just said. Great light and tones. Well done. Very chilled as well. Thank You
I bet that delicious food tasted even better after that amazing hike up the mountain wall. The history you shared was fascinating too.
I want one of those mussels and especially want to dip that bread in the juice. Thanks for sharing.
🎉 now I love the video! And I would have loved to seen Kurt pull out the old Viking Spirit and put Snow over his shoulders and carry her up all those steps! 😅 well since she's lost so much weight I'm sure you'd have no problem😊

Think I must have missed a bunch of France and Italy-need to go back and look. Croatia looks amazing.
My family is from Srinjine, just a few miles east of Split...hoping you accidently pass through there. Its been my life's hope to visit there.
Kurt’s food looks so good. That’s what I would order.
Stopped in Aston based on your recommendation. Thanks for leading us here. And Snow, the left “hike” was steep and hard enough. Respect!!!
Croatia continues to impress - what a beautiful place! Great to see you getting back to walking - Spring is just around the corner! :)
Yes! We missed our walking.... Ready for spring weather to stay here! 😁
New subscriber 😊 looking forward to catching up with your vlogs

You will love their channel!
Loved the path leading up the wall and around the city. It led to some wonderful views. Good job, snow, on your trek up those stairs.
Great day in Crotia another amazing history journey. Love to see the kitty in the video. Stay safe God bless
My time flies so quickly when you’re having fun and it is fun watching you, informative too. ❤

As always absolute beautiful video❤ Just love how you make us feel included on your journey. Thanks guys. Safe travels see you Saturday
Adore your videos. Much love all the way from western South Africa.

safe travels! always educational
Haha. Snow, I’m even less adventurous with eating. I think you did great tasting “fish spread”🤪
Absolutely incredible & beautiful 🩵🩷🧂🍴🍴🍞🥕🍟🥩🍆🍅🧄
The view for your house is ever changing while mine always remains the same😂
When you come back to Croatia you need to try BUREK. Phyllo dough stuffed with cheese or ground meat. DELICIOUS 😋
Thanks guys Soooo lovely ❤ Cheers guys 🥂🍹🍻👋👍🤗
The water is such a beautiful colour , love the views from the wall 😃 💜
It really is!
Always finding cool places to visit.❤

Being paid in salt - I’m pretty sure that’s where we get the word “Salary” from
Love your vlogs! Hope more people discover you as it's great quality content.
Thank you so much!
Wow that wall was awesome! Loved the arial views wow just stunning lol but most of your footage is that way nicely done guys hug them kitties for us 😻
Hola! Preciosa Croacia! Espero y deseo que os deís una vuelta por España, creo que no os decepcionará! Saludos😊
What a fabulous place. Can’t wait for you to visit Hadrians wall in the north of England. 117km long but most isn’t well preserved. Well worth a visit though.
We have added it to our list!!
Croatia is beautiful, I had no idea.
I was surprised to hear that was the second longest wall in the world because Hadrians wall in the north of England is 117km long.
This was an incredible video. I’m now super excited to go to Croatia in September. Thank you. The food looks so delicious and fresh. Great walk, Snow, you inspire me. ❤
Check out the Hebrew wall in California! 50 miles long.😊
Thanks for the very interesting video. That wall looked long but amazing.
BEAUTIFUL ❤
Wonderful to watch. Thank you.
