I am privileged in not having debt (except internal debt I feel towards my family), but that comes with the lack of .. well anything. I'll graduate grad school with a gifted car but nothing else truly to my name. No credit, no nada. It brings freedom and also the feeling of being lost. No idea where to start so I really appreciate these detailed templates and guides.
I have your budget spreadsheet from when you first launched it. I am still sticking to it. My main financial goal this year is to pay my car off. I've had some rough times this last year but still paying off debt slowly. Love these reset videos ❤

I have a few financial goals, first is to build my emergency fund back up, second is save for a trip to Italy next year, and the biggest is to get a higher paying WFH job. Im SO over the in-office grind. My current job slowly went from 100% remote to 100% in-office in the last 3 years. It's just not for me anymore!

Also a fed and new homeowner, I love your budget and goals! I just put my 5% increase completely to my TSP but haven't been doing ROTH and need to look more into it. Also recently got my student loans forgiven, my biggest financial regret is listening to skeptics and aggressively paying off all of my undergrad loans when i could have saved more for my home, only grad school loans were left to be forgiven, but hey, it's something! my advice to anyone in public service is just pay the minimum and hang in there! those ten years will be here before you know it!

Hey Selena, I have just bought the budget and goal templates. Please have in mind that not all of the buyers are from the states. I had to do some reformatting of the currency and I hear the business template will include a formula for the taxes that is legit for the USA only. Maybe a more generic one will be useful for the whole audience :)
I know but luckily for the budget template a lot of the formatting is super easy to do! Unfortunately since I work a 9-5 and do all the managing myself it’s really not possible for me to spend too much time on this creating formats for separate countries. However, I can definitely try to make the business tracker more generic, not sure how that will work tbh but I’ll think about it!
I am currently job hunting as I was laid off, but I definately do my budgeting using unemployment. I love your goal for your business!

I'm looking for the computer lights and checked your office essentials and didn't see them. I want some for my TVs also. I love light vibes! Also love that Aveeno body spray oil; I recently started trying it too. I live in AZ and have constant dry skin. It's the best.

All Google sheets can be downloaded/exported as an excel file now! you can google how to do that if you’re unsure but it’s pretty simple 💗

Yes I think so! But of course it depends. But I don’t see why not. You could simply add your monthly income or you could add each paycheck as the sum of both your paychecks, there’s several ways you could do it! It really depends on how ypu manage your finances as a couple but only you know that :)

I thought the Peloton membership was only for the live classes. Does the treadmill not work at all without the subscription?
Nope it's for all classes and access to the other things! You can run on manual without the subscription and basically just track your time and distance.

B.S. Economics & B.S. in international studies, minor in Business Administration. It has opened doors for me and changed the trajectory of my entire life and I’m so thankful! With that degree I got paid internships across the country in Washington DC, after college, I got a full time job with the federal government in DC and still working in DC but remotely so I moved back to oregon and bought a house! That’s my story and how I used my education to get to where I am. But I get that it’s not like that for everyone and some ppl can do extremely well for themselves without an education too!
i want assistance. I'm confused about savings . bcz the money i save end on spending to visit home country (that seems important to me bcz i miss home country a lot ) . but i hv 3 kids & sometimes i get worried that I'm not saving for their education so what to do how to manage

Hi Selena! I am having a hard time with getting what I entered into my “bills tracker” to show up on my monthly budget. I can include the categories I entered from the category drop down, but it doesn’t automatically populate the amount. Is that correct? Do I need to type in all the amounts into my monthly budget when I’ve already included them in my bills tracker? I think I must be missing a step. Thank you!!!
Yes you do still need to enter into your monthly budget! The only part that autobpopulatesnfrom the bills tracker is the category name I believe and subscriptions, but that's a different tracker.

Unfortunately I am not a financial advisor and can’t tell you what you should do in your situation. Personally I don’t buy stuff on my credit card that I can’t pay off with my normal paychecks by the end of the month.
I know this may be off topic, but why is it so hard to get a job with the federal government when you/I have a masters and 13 years of healthcare experience
Yeah I homestly don’t know, I think it depends on every situation to be completely honest. Atleast what I was told when I was an intern is that the fed gov really cares about prior gov experience bc working as a public servant is very different than working for corporate America, so if you haven’t already, consider doing a gov internship or volunteering for the gov, I did 3 federal internships before I graduated college and then landed a full time gov job. And that was after applying to 30+ federal jobs and 100+ other DC jobs. It’s hard. And especially if you wanna live in DC, unfortunately a lot of employers there don’t just look at experience but also WHERE you got your experience and WHERE you got your degrees and WHAT your degrees were in. Because it’s the nations capital, and because you’re looking at FEDERAL gov, it’s highly competitive compared to applying to local gov. Maybe try applying local/state in addition to federal jobs? Also idk how long it’s been that you’ve been applying but with a federal job it’s normal to not hear back for 3+ months!

Take home! Gross is never added to a monthly budget because you can’t budget what you don’t actually have to spend, if that makes sense :)
