Illegal Drone Captured Terrifying Footage In Restricted Airspace Beyond the Ice Wall of Antarctica!
No trees or flowers can survive its harsh climate. Yet, life still finds a way. The ice here acts like a time capsule, preserving the stories of ancient creatures and past climate changes.
For example, Weddell seals are perfectly suited to freezing conditions. They can dive more than 2,000 feet deep into the ocean and hold their breath for over an hour. But there's more. Studies show that these seals have a strong sense of smell, which they use to find breathing holes in thick ice and to detect predators and prey, even in the dark polar winter.
But this wasn’t the only surprising discovery. Scientists also found remains of a giant bird that once flew over this frozen land. This ancient bird suggests that Antarctica was once a very different place, possibly warmer and full of life.
