Whereupon I joined the local RASC astronomy club and made a couple of slide and video presentations. The accompanying music was all Vangelis, including a track from Antarctica, if memory serves. No other composer touches my soul like Vangelis does. Many of his works can bring me to cathartic sobbing. Perhaps the most powerful is "It can be done."

Vangelis could set a scene, set a mood, even set the temperature just by his touch. This is a picture of a camera set in the Antarctic slowly panning the horizon, and as we watch we feel the coldness that he saw as he wrote this.
