I'm literally obsessed. Being outside is so much more engaging, your brain is working more, it's more awake and happy and better focused. Its probably cheaper than real schools too, cause you don't need to build, clean, upkeep, heat the building, meaning you could pay teachers more. Have schools located in forests would also decrease forestry and teach kids a love for nature. Why is the public education system not jumping on this.

Everything from doing community service at animal shelter to picking up cans along county road then figuring your pay per hour, noting ratio of ETOH cans to soft drink cans, distribution of cans from vendor, what colors lasted longer and why, picking up wildflowers to identify, going on any factory tour I could find, parks, beaches, my kids were there.

Good on Portland Maine Public Schools but does anyone really think that American Teachers Unions would do this en masse? Catholic and Private schools remained upon and remained safe-just as Rand Paul told Fauci last fall. Kids in public schools, especially boys, lost a year of their lives due to the raw exercise of political power by teachers unions.
