I think you should know what you're signing up for.
Rules that protect knees I get. But rules that take a safety coming from halves to lay the lumber to receiver on the post or go route - you have to let those guys hit the receivers. If you don't, then shrink the width of the field to 50 yards wide which will give the safety more opportunities to intercept instead of having to hit the receiver to break up the play or make him think twice about catching the ball.

I get what he’s saying but defense like that would reduce the lifespan of offensive players.. I’ve seen and played against people who aren’t running at you cuz they want to play defense.. They are running at you cuz they very deliberately want to hurt you and when you have a whole team of people teaching each other that, eventually someone is going to end up dead..same way offensive players can see that physicality won’t cut it for them, they have to be tactical too. That’s the same thing they want to teach defenses, find a smarter way to stop them rather than trying to kill them cuz they won y’all last game.. Even the UFC has rules to limit the level of damage you do to your opponents

Ronnie Lott, Brian Dawkins, ray lewis, Allen page, Reggie white, and so many more were what brought the defense as Brady has been in the league for so long that the league has become soft. Yes, there are concussions and many other elements there but they need to relax these rules against defenses to accurately solve these issues as concussions are freak accidents that are beyond our control. @@frankmor9667 So like I said how did Brady himself make the league change anything. He didn’t do shit the league changed the rules because they overreact every time someone gets hurt. And there’s plenty of other QBs that got hurt which resulted to rule changes.

I scrolled down looking for this comment. Brady the only QB i seen look at a ref and the refs throws a flag. D-lineman only gave a shove.

I've never been a football (always preferred basketball), but the games I've watched over the years since the late 90s to now are definitely different. I agree that each element had their roles on and off the field. Defense could make or break a game and special teams were required for some 1000 IQ moments. It seems as though there is a flag every other play. This was the same with Hack a Shaq and Jordan rules; strategy designed to shutdown the hothand, leading scorer or biggest threat. Steel Curtain and People Eaters embodied the need for defense in the game. Tom may have benefitted from the change, but he sure as hell didn't ask for it.

@paulray494 you must not have watched him play for him to talk like this is being a hypocrite especially having one of the most potent offenses in history going 18-0 averaging like almost 40 points a gave only to lose to the giants this guy was protected more then I ever seen like I said hypocrite you can't hit the qbs low cause of him before him it was okay but once he got hurt for it oh no we can't have this happen again what a load of horse crap

@@gingerbreadman1226 You just proved his point, lmfao. Was Brady protected? Yes, but he clearly didn't ask for it. And as for that 07 offense, I think you're forgetting that they almost lost multiple games *because* they had great defenses that were allowed to hit. Baltimore, New York, San Diego, Indianapolis, etc. Unlike today, they actually struggled to score.

I completely agree with Big time play Brady! When rules are changed every year, 85 percent of the changes are related to the defense. Don't get me wrong, I do not advocate dirty play, but if it's a bang-bang play, let it go, it is part of the game. Playing good defense makes opposing offensive players work harder and think harder, just as playing chess requires me to make a better move after my first move.
