I kept finding myself interested, at the 2 Zeus' in the profile. As a casually competitive guy, I would never consider it budget. But Pak's BOAB series is so streamlined, it makes sense that it can fall in with a budget, if followed with guidelines. He gives you his own roadmap.
If you play casual at a locals or with friends you dont need 2 zeus. The second is for when you get hit by the kashtira card that removes from play a monster in your extra deck.
I mean, it’s about $21 and you can easily win that in prize support. That’s the point if the series, starting with 3 Structures and getting the rest by selling the stuff you win.

You could use Chakanine + Boarbow to make a 4 mat zeus instead of the merrymaker line, alternatively Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon Overlord on top of an Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon makes a 3k beater that you can turn into a 4 mat zeus
Came here to say this, and Boarbow even let's you attack directly to safely fulfill Zeus' summoning condition, it's been a nice tech for Master Duel festivals.
Pak with the tech options gives me insight on how his mind works. My biggest gripe with this deck was the mirror and blowout cards like Evenly. I didn't think about the Lancea to be defensive and offensive. Love the video, bro! Keep up the good content 💪
Prosp would be a good bridge for this deck to dig for cards. Also I would look into a Tellarknight Ptolemaeus package with Stellarknight Constellar Diamond and Artifact Durendal. Would help fight Evenly matched and Triple Tactics Thrust. Also has an application to hand loop your opponents' hand with droll & lock bird. A generic link 2 like I:P or Earth charmer would be nice as well to fight iblee. A good link 5 like Underworld Goddess is also a great pickup for the deck as it allows you to out so problematic cards. Solemn strike, IDP and Overroot have applications in this deck as well. Either way congratulations on your 3v3 victory. Best of luck

I haven't played yugioh in 10 years and some friends of mine started playing again last year who are now trying to convince me to start playing again. With the new traptrix deck which seems to be decent and somewhat able to compete with the current meta decks if you pimp it a bit like you did I was thinking about giving it a shot. As you said you need to know the meta and the different interactions each deck theme has etc, what would you say is a good way of doing/learning that? As someone who hasnt played for a long time but has always played quite competetively its pretty overwhelming with how the game has changed. My plan was to get the deck 3 times, some fillers like you and then attend my first locals but dont want to embarass myself there, so wanted to learn the current meta abit first. So im kinda trying to get back into it, any tips?
A nice budget card that is very good in this deck is actually Back To the Front. In the middle game it can be used to get traptrix monsters back and get a banish/s-t po/reset a trap hole. Can get back the backrow protection. Best of all it triggers Sera.
I play 3 mind crush 3 trap trick 3 needle ceiling because mind crush is the only card that outs multiple evenly matches, and it's also the only one that can be searched by trap trick while also being a good card overall. Needle ceiling is a very good option for trap trick when going 2nd, since it's one of the few traps that destroys the board whenever you want (weighbridge may be a thing too, but it's almost dead when going 1st or in some match-UPs)
Pak there existed two other methods to get a 4 mat Zeus with Rank 4s before Champion Sargas maybe you prefer one of them: The first one is summoning Zoodiac Chakanine then overlaying into Boarbow and the second one is summoning Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and then overlaying into Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon Overlord.
At 18:50 you a valid point going to locals play your deck and see if you need upgrades... I feel everyone one should do that if they want to play Yu-Gi-Oh & build a community.. Fire video cheers..
Went up to 2 Gravediggers, it's broadly applicable, can close a game and if you draw it going in to a suspected Nib, then you're dead to it not having one in the deck for Raf.
Have you looked at break off trap hole? I thought it would be a super niche interaction but then I realized making sera happens like 100% of the time, so you could trigger it on your self and wipe all monsters not linked going second- not that matters since traptrix monsters don’t care about trap cards
@Swaggs Mr. You can activate it turn 1 with raflessia. If can set up raflessia, sera, and one other body, including holetea in grave, then you can make cularia, activate raflessia and break-off, clear the opponent's board, then use holetea to re-summon sera.
Would Heavenly Prison work to protect back row and I know The new Traptrix does that too but it can also work when you activate a normal trap then sera then prison to chain block and have an extra body on field.
It's an option and you can play Granite to search it as well. I don't think Traptrix terribly needs it and you would fare better with cards like Judgment to also stop evenly matched.
I am thinking about adding some rikka cards into that for more interruptions or easy clears with the field spell. also you will get another nib counter
What are your thoughts on throwing in a Lady Labrynth into the deck to get a big body that also allows you to set your non-hole trap cards off of the cards your setting off of Sera? It also makes it easier to trade with Labrynth whenever they activate a trap card.
My problem with participation at locals is scheduling. One shop plays the evening before my treatment and the other plays the next day (the day of my treatment), and because of that it is very, very difficult finding a way to make the times work. =(

This time, keeping thrust might have more sense as it's just a direct replacement of the trap trick in side Rest of the budget could be employed in other cards that might be good in the deck, destructive dharma karma cannon might be an option for example, otherwise maybe other good side deck cards such as gozen, rivalry and such, and maybe cards that are generally good techs such as veiler, cosmic, chalice.
I love that this deck has pretty much already been solved. I was thinking of running 3 dionea and dropping mantis down to 2. Think there's any need for a smallworld line for rose archer or Lancia? P.S. I run 2 atipus simply because it's let me beat over a 4k dragoon multiple times. I think retaliating "c" is awesome because it let's you search almost your whole deck and stops so many people.
hey Pak, I'd be interested in knowing your thoughts on one of my head-cannons. I would like a new "C" card. Maybe an XYZ monster or a Field spell. I have no idea what I want it to do, but with current power creep I imagine it being either a blowout card or a generic out to other blowout cards.
Personally still advocate for the Big Welcome into Silver Lady play. Maybe a Bagooska as well for hands that only can get 2 bodies + Sera on board or bad matchups, and an Aussa for something like Iblee coming down or if they have an Earth in grave to use like a Fenrir. Also maybe an Accesscode, but Im not currently a fan since all the played Links are Earth, so only 1 pop.
Suggestions: Fenrir (2 is fine), Gameciel, Pankratops, Desires, Accesscode, Unicorn, Aussa and above all Needle Ceiling. Just insane techs in this deck. Keep it up!
I've been thinking on playing the math mech xyz monster that can use 2+ level 4 monsters then ether us the effect to add what ever I need in trap trick like another monster or get the field spell or trap or I just attack and make zues with 4 or 5 material under it.
Have you considered 1 Springans Captain Sargas and 1 Tally Ho! Springans in the main to work with Gigantic Sargas? Makes your Sargas an interrupt as well.
heard time space trap hole felt like i had a random 1 i somehow manage to obtain found my PGL3 one that i think i randomly got when i just got back to collecting ygo.
I think to play in the extra deck "gallant granite" in combo with nib and also to play at least 1 copie (because is searchable with gallant granite) or maybe 2 of "lord of the heavenly prison" will be really strong in this deck.
I tried this and I have to say it was underwhelming. Arachnocampo often serves the same purpose as Lord of the Heavenly prison, and there are other xyz monsters that are almost always better to go into than gallant granite.

I cut the D Draw card from my list too. But I kept the field spell in. I wonder why you took it out when it’s so good. Maybe you could run it as your 41st card.
I’ve found myself being ashed or veiler’d on pudica and it just sucks cause the combo becomes make sera set what you got pass unless you have arach or holeatea+trap. Increasing trap to 2 is that bad? Went to locals myself twice with a very close list and went 4-2 both times with no testing somehow. Thanks for the series pak 😂❤
Have you considered sunavelon package, sowing only locks yku into plants from the extra, but I’ve been having good luck with that ending on a benglancer, sera, rafflicia and strenna with rikka princess in gy for a monster negate, and 2 holes set

Holeutea does quick monster reborn from grave, becoming a removal (pudica) or s/t pop (myrm), it also obviously extends every play reborning a 4* piece with ss effect that will trigger Sera
Nice decklist, definetly gonna get myself solemn judgement asap for the board breakers. But how would you feel playing some non-hole traps in the deck? I like playing torrential tribute in my decklist, it steals some games fairly easily. Another thing is that most hole cards interact on special summons, so I had a hard time against Floowandereeze the other day.
for me my trap line up is 3x holeutea 3x imperm 3x evenly matched 2x floodgate 1x gravedigger 1x traptrix trap hole nightmare 1x terrifying trap hole nightmare 1x bottomless 1x torrential 1x anti spell fragrance it works pretty good
i really like atrax idk why no one uses her lol she can be brought out super easy and she has 2 really good effects the first she makes your trap hole cards un negateable and 2 she makes it so trap hole cards can be activated from the hand without setting them lol

The Evenly Lancea combo and the Nibiru token and Evenly combo are both so insane, I can’t believe those are things you can do! Thanks Pak!

Going second the card is useless. The turn you set the trap you cannot activate them.

Also, most ppl don't know but pudica + exceed is Sera raff utopic future and a hole trap off those 2 cards with holetea in grave
Pak traptrix series makes me want to invest in royal decree
The only take I have on it is running 2 grave diggers, keeps it live for Raf to play through/around nib if you open it.

Would you consider playing Thrust in this deck? The full power version, of course. Being able to set any trap, not just “hole” traps seems quite good!

You could try dogmatika in the deck? I was thinking about it, nadir is such a broken card and fleur-de-lis is decent going second
instead of merrymaker/sargas you could potentially also play chakanine and boarbow for a 4mat zeus, they should be even cheaper if you are really on a budget

Holeutea does quick monster reborn from grave, becoming a removal (pudica) or s/t pop (myrm), it also obviously extends every play reborning a 4* piece with ss effect that will trigger Sera
Nice decklist, definetly gonna get myself solemn judgement asap for the board breakers. But how would you feel playing some non-hole traps in the deck? I like playing torrential tribute in my decklist, it steals some games fairly easily. Another thing is that most hole cards interact on special summons, so I had a hard time against Floowandereeze the other day.

i really like atrax idk why no one uses her lol she can be brought out super easy and she has 2 really good effects the first she makes your trap hole cards un negateable and 2 she makes it so trap hole cards can be activated from the hand without setting them lol
