I've heard so much about Tulum, it seems like the perfect getaway spot! Those water-filled caves really look like an awesome day trip! That wooden sculpture of the guy opening his chest is so iconic too!
Yeah Tulum was an amazing place to chill, adventure, and live it up! The cenotes were easily one of our favorite things we did, and a lot of them are only a bike ride away from the center of town. And yeah the wooden sculpture was so iconic that we caved in and paid entry fee to see it, it's a shame that they've reserved it as a tourist attraction
I really loved the idea of the statue called In to the light in English. I guess making quick money is the order of great day, it was great when it was in the public space. 6 dollars is not bad for 15 minutes though🙂
We loved it too! And yeah I heard that it was previously in the public space, and I guess it isn't that expensive compared to other attractions, but it just symbolizes Tulum's transformation I suppose
