The best reaction I’ve gotten out of my friends was when I made a seven layer dip for the super bowl a couple years back and the kicker was those refried beans that you showed me how to cook so well. My pup is an Okie. Born December 10, 2021 in Marietta, OK. He got to Texas as soon as he could. LOL. I've done this same thing, though with less rinsing, for years. My grandkids loved them. Thanks so much for your videos. They warm my old heart and tummy.

I’ve made homemade chips for years. My boys liked them hot out of the oil so they could add the spices of their choice.

Mr. Rollins: Many years ago i "discovered" habenero peppers. 😱😱😱!!! I got experimental with deep frying things like turnips, radishes, Apple skins, etc.; i sliced a handful of habenero peppers, and thinly sliced a potato. Firstly; got the oil to spattering hot, dropped in only about 5 slices of habenero, and the rest - potato slices. I cooked the potatoes on medium to low heat until they were thoroughly cooked to perfection on both sides. I disposed of the pepper and the oil was well... had its day. With a little salt and tea with a little of FRESH lemon and mint, it was great! I suggest using a fresh red pepper, not habeneros and never anything pickled. I think you'd like to try that out, I'm sure those chips would go great with some smokey BBQed steak. Just remember to put the potatoes in after the pepper has been in for about 5 seconds. GOD BLESS YOU! 😋😇 One more thing: Please let Shannon know that she has a very pretty voice!
