I hope the guys see this comment, but seriously, if anyone calls Shinedown sellouts then they didn't know the band to begin with.
With that said, in my 32 years of life, I've had the privilege of meeting my share of heavy metal and hard rock performers. Last year, on my birthday no less, I was able to meet Shinedown after they played at the Santa Ana Star. Down to Earth, engaged with fans, genuinely appreciated and interacted with the fans. That's fucking rare. Most the time Rock Stars have ego's larger than their fanbase, the guys in Shinedown didn't, they were straight up everyday people who looked to be having as much time as we were. By far, as a whole band, Shinedown was the coolest to talk with. Sure in most bands you'll find that one guy who is about the crowd and the little guy, but rarely is it the whole group. Kudos guys, keep playing great music.
Justin Ebright I agree with everything you said 100% Shinedown is the best band I've ever met and they saved my life they push me forward by their lyrics and help me get off drugs because I know Brent Smith had a drug problem and I listen to his words and I totally disagree with Shinedown being sellouts they're my favorite band and they always will have a place in my heart

I absolutely love this video,and the song! I think it’s so cool how they included the kids, and the part where Brent is teaching the “rock star” moves, Not to mention Brent’s portrayal of the eccentric director with Eric, they play off of one another so well! Zack was hilarious ,and Barry over there chillin’ with his twizzlers🤣You can tell these guys are the best of friends! That kind of chemistry cannot be duplicated! Standing out from the rest! 🤣😂 This was genius! I enjoyed every moment of this video, I needed a good laugh today!

I laughed the entire way through this! The ending... Priceless. I love the humour Shinedown uses in their videos to encompass their growing pains as a band. I laughed the entire way through 'Enemies' as well. And the Ending... Again, Priceless. 😊 My personal opinion... A band has to stay inventive to stay relevant and this is exactly what Shinedown does. Let us just give props man to the amazing vocals and the incredible band that they are! Respectfully and forever a fan.

For all the people who ranted on how Shinedown has changed, isn't it for that reason that this band is so amazing? Great bands know how to keep things fresh as well bring something new to the table.
They stay fresh. But deep down they have that badassness I've always liked about them.
Best voice in Rock, love this band the old stuff the new stuff all of it. A good group is a good group period.

They are thinking outside the box. I have read the comments below and people are saying the " THIS ISNT SHINEDOWN THAT I KNEW" omg guys bands change over time. It happens. Relax.
Then there is the video. This demonstrates the process in create their videos. It is kinds disrespectful when you say "THIS ISNT THE SHINEDOWN I KNOW" what you dont like to see what they do in order to create the music we love? They repeat this process for every album. Can't you just appreciate their effort?

It is not a problem. And you have a right to express yourself, however, I have read some comments below of people expressing themselves, about their apparent "change" Individuals are complaining about the video. And I am just stating that bands change and some create something that is new to them. I appreciate the fact that they are being nontraditional, a change once in a while wont hurt anyone.

I needed this been sober 10 months 12 days found out my BFF died in Hospice liver sclerosis… she spent her 50 th birthday 🎂 dying… I went and seen her knew her my whole life lived a mile from each other farmer’s daughters..
I think I like their new sound better. I'll always like their old stuff, but the fact that they've changed shows that they're still trying to make good music, and that effort really comes through. I especially feel like there's this new spark to them that they didn't have in previous songs. I've loved every single from this album, and I'm really looking forward to listening to more songs from it.

When this video first came out, a co-worker, who also loved Shinedown, and I watched it. Then we'd go through the office doing the arm thing and snap that Brent is doing through the fast part of Asking For It. We would laugh and everyone else thought we were crazy.

I've loved these guys since the 00's and yeah I fell in love with the fat drug addict types that they were. They are one of the only bands that expanded and grew and found the secret to longevity when most bands fell by the way side after their initial popularity. The only reason they get this opportunity I think is bc they did clean up and that definitely helped them to still make great music for the next generations, that and their ability to poke fun at themselves and the music scene/industry.
