I'm in the sprint group (90 classes/90 days) coming up. To make sure I could get a handle and not miss any classes I scheduled the entire first month one level lower than what I tested at. You can change levels at any time. Given the 7-day cancel notice, the most I would lose is a week. You are correct it is very difficult to schedule classes for a variety of reasons. Obviously, they want folks to not be able to get their money (capitalism). Still, I don't understand quitting, if it's above your head just change the level of the upcoming classes. I do support you - it sounds like you let your ego get in the way; it likely would have turned out well for you. Something to keep in mind as you continue your studies. You didn't fail, you chose a different path.
If everyone got their money back then there would be no teachers. In communism you get taxed to death and can't afford food and don't get to choose what classes you take. You are basically paying for a tutor in a class setup because socialist education failed you.
Excellent review. You helped me avoid a train wreck so I am grateful you took the time to describe your experience. As you stated in your conclusion, you want to help just one person and you succeeded by helping me immensely. So the rest is gold because I’m sure this will help more than just one. Thank you 🙏
I'm doing the sprint right now. I scheduled my classes for a month in order. It's hard to find how to on the website but you can create a class and a teacher will pick it up and other students can join
I don't know why people choose Lingoda, because italki is much cheaper and more flexible, not to mention it's always one-on-one. For the price of Lingoda, you might as well just go to the destination country and sign up at a local language school.
Because if you take all classes within the super sprint, you get your full money back. That goes up to 1000 USD. Outside of any sprint, I would also never book a class with Lingoda, way better options out there.
I have some issues that I am anxious about the Lingoda sprint . The rules state that participants cannot book a lesson before the start dates . In my case, I’ve just tried the platform out with some trial credits . Do I violate the regulations? I’m so worry and nervous about whether I would be disqualified. I somehow regretted joining the program . Actually It is way too stressful and the rules are not clear enough . I’ve just written an email to Lingoda asking if I am able to cancel the challenge and get my money back. Maybe Joining regular courses would be more appropriate and down to earth than somewhat like gambling 🎰 ….Is there anybody in like situation with me ?
Thanks for this, I get what you're saying. I signed up just for an ordinary Sprint which is a bit more manageable. You just need to take 15 classes in the month. Even at that, you need to be organised and even if you are flexible you are still at the mercy of class availability. I also think I'd benefit more from one to one tutoring rather than a good class. Did you manage to cancel in the end, how did that work out ?
Do you think a majority of the issues with what you had was because of it being the super sprint, how the time between lessons is too little, and scheduling lessons or chapters not in order due to them not being available in scheduling? Seen these points raised in other videos too, but seemed like a good experience for people who used lingoda. I'm thinking of using lingoda, possibly just the sprint (or half sprint? just not the super) or even just the normal subscription. Also interested in what you've done after this video on your learning journey?
Thanks for share the expirience. The Sprint was difficult because it was too little time for tje chapters? What was the other program you commented 'fluent'? Thanks
Were you able to cancel your subscription, and did they refund you for the amount you paid? I am trying to reach out to the customer service after realising I cancelled a class in less than 7 days... and I have completed 2 classes so far.
I came across the same problem but I still have all 30 credits and im trying to recall if i cancelled the class within 7 days or not:/ according to customer service they won't return the credit if you violated the 7 day rule...
@@salsburger2406 if your credits haven't been affected, then I think you should be good. But you must take 1 class each day until the subscription period ends. In my case, I realised it as soon as I had done it and it reflected on the available credits, so according to their policy they will not return it. I contacted them about refunding me the 1st month payment, which they refused, because the period starts when you first paid the deposit (which was not explicitly stated on their rules), and mine was more than a month ago. Which was upsetting and now I'm trying to remove my payment from the account.
@@swethal1505 Lingoda's rules are very confused and I didn't know I can only do maximum one class a day and 5classes a week. They took the payment on the 29th 0f August, they said the sprint is begin from 7th of September,it is not fair the class has to book/ Cancel 7days before it is impossible. They don't want to anyone get refund

How is scheduling like? Can I pick any time I want? What if there's only one student showing up (me), will they cancel the class at the last minute?

Thank you for this!

can you still get a refund if you cancel it after 5 days?

do you mind telling me if they returned the credit when you cancelled a class within 7 days?
