FISHING on the Boat with my "HAWAIIAN" Uncle

9:56 - those grounds that you guys are fishing are prime grounds for papio. Right outside of the breaking waves - deep water transitioning into the reef. But it's also a very dangerous place to fish. A freak set of waves that sneak up on you and that break further out than usual could flip your entire boat over. Lose all of your gear, ruin your motor, and, if the boat hits you on the head as you're going over, could result in tragedy. I know because once we almost got caught on the inside while trolling for papio, and a freak set of waves came out of nowhere. Luckily we saw it coming, and we were able to get out of there. Had I not been watching the waves, and had been focused on fishing instead, we would have gotten demolished.
