  • "Here is a gray lady, an elegant lady, the queen of the deep.
    A sad lady, a silent lady. Are you now asleep?
    Can we learn from your sorrow to share?
    Teach us to understand, and certainly to care,
    but never again will there ever be,
    a gray lady, and elegant lady, slip unwillingly into the sea."
    -Roy Cullimore
    This is my first pass of my ambient dive footage compilation of the wreck of the Titanic set to relaxing under water ambient music for the casual and super Titanic fan alike. No footage has been repeated and offers an other worldly view of the wreck as it sits nearly 3 miles down under the North Atlantic ocean.
    All footage was found on RUclips and taken from various dives over the years, most from the 1995, 1997, 2001, 2005, 2010, and 2012 dives to the wreck site. I do not own the footage and it belongs to its respective owners and used here in for historical education and calming ambiance.
    If you'd like to see more video's like this, please like and subscribe.
    Enjoy.

    I have recently started to explore Titanic and its tragic end. The wreck of Titanic triggers such a profound and deep emotions in me. It was the most beautiful, Luxurious, Largest, MIghteist ship on the planet but in front of the forces of nature it was nothing.
    Watching these videos from the comfort of my room is truly thrilling. Once fondly built my men, Decorated by master designers, now More than a century later resting in complete darkness. The story of Titanic is not just your average tale, It's a tale of Human ambition, fragility, our place in nature and so much more.
    Thank you for the wonderful video.

    Covered beneath layers of grime and dust, Titanic's beauty still hits you at odd moments: visible rows of wooden decking, open portholes once touched by man, rooms in ruin where lives were lived, even if briefly. She's an old lady now, but she still offers her stories and gives glimpses of her past if you're willing to look.
    It's heartbreaking to know she hasn't seen sunlight since 1912... some of her inner chambers are still hidden from view... but she's aging gracefully. Her doorways are twisted out of shape, her windows bent and broken, her hallways buried in rust and debris. She's a gorgeous house full of secrets. Haunted, maybe. Haunting? Surely.
    I can watch this footage forever... catching every detail of what once was and what could have been.
    RIP RMS Titanic

    I was a kid when they found it. I remember learning about it in school and watching videos. I was so fascinated by this book I had about it. Maybe it’s the beauty of ship before and after it sank. Maybe it’s the time period. It still fascinates me to this day. A tragic story and you can’t help but think of the people and what they experienced.

    It will always amaze me how much humanity treats this old Queen of the Ocean, almost like a human being, an old friend or family. Returning to Earth with her own micro echo system. She sits in pure darkness, and yet illuminates the ocean floor with her light, like a torch of love for us, guiding our lives through our daily struggle. Those lives were not lost in vain. They taught us how to better implement security measures. To not lose ourselves in our vanity and our arrogance, to humble ourselves. She’s my safe place when everything feels impossible.

      Beautifully well said and written. Reading your comment brought me to tears. You show such love, care and nurture for our Queen of the Ocean. I've been hauntingly obsessed with Titanic for years now as I can never get enough of her. When I'm away from visuals or videos of her, I feel so distant and can't wait to return to Mother Queen. To relax and unwind to this video specifically. The music fits her just right, calm, at peace and having accepted her new and only journey now, being at the bottom of one of our many beautiful oceans. To always be with us even long after we have passed away and our shell of a human vessel is gone. She will still be there creating new family members having found new souls who become just as passionate about her, learning about her, being near her as we all are. Thank you for sharing your love of our Queen my fellow sister. You touched the abyss of my soul, our soul.🛳💕

      It's actually quite normal for deep sea wrecks - in their descent, they have the time and depth to stabilize. Wrecks that sink in SHALLOW water, Like her sister BRITANNIC, LUSITANIA, or ANDREA DORIA, do not have that time or depth; they simply hit bottom in their sinking position. There's no chance for their hulls to stabilize.

    I can't help but think of Paul Henri Nargeolet watching this, knowing how many times he's seen the beautiful gray lady. Now I can only imagine being on a dive with him, being in a sub so safe your only worry is of the cold, as he points out the anchors, davits, and the numerous coal burners scattered on the ocean floor. The mark where the crow's nest used to stand, the decks where people gathered to catch the boats, and the gash where the iceberg hit. He didn't deserve to go like he did and neither did the rest of the passengers, on both the Titan and the Titanic.

    My question is this- if the titan sub imploded because of enormous pressure, why didn’t the Titania hull implode when it hit a certain depth?

    • @jareds8729
      @jareds8729 Месяц назад +2

      the hull has to be water and air tight to implode, titanic wasnt air tight. the flipped up poop deck was likely due to air exploding out as it sank, kind of like this ruclips.net/video/AvAL4TCnzMM/видео.htmlsi=dwE1SKhYvIzPBk48&t=1338 the stern is pretty mangled so it's hard to know what actually happened with imploding airpockets. air likely just blasted out windows, decks and any other weak points before it got very deep. if you're referring to the bow's decent condition, it was full of water before it sank and so no implosion

      The ship has been around relatively intact as it is on the floor of the ocean for 110 years. It is still pretty recognizable but it is accelerating and its deterioration. The interesting thing about the rusticles is that they are unique living organisms that seemed to have come to existence thanks to the Titanic. They were people inside the ship when it goes down. Inside the wreck and in the debris field you can find a lot of personal things which belongs to people. Pair of shoes, glasses... Juewelery. These are the locations where the bodies rested. The bodies were decomposed in a few years after the sinking.
      Ask Dr. Robert Ballard who made the footage of personal things that belong to people. 1500 people died during the sinking. There was no storm on the next day in that area. Whatta wreck whatta shame……
    I would’ve told people to rip the wooden doors off the hinges… remove the door knobs if possible….. use rope and tie their flotation life vest on one side of the door then lay on the other side of the door in the water. Find rope….. wire or string to hold people together in groups in the water so everyone could be found..
    At this point I would’ve deployed the life boats full of people who weren’t laying on boards/doors instruct them to paddle to the groups of people holding rope to make sure they didn’t drift out to sea.
    They had 2+ hours before she sank. Plenty of time to save just about everybody. And the sea was calm that night.
    That would’ve kept people out of the water till help arrived. They could’ve even used their mattresses. How many cabin/closet doors and mattresses were in the Titanic?
    …….. We could’ve even taken a bottle of Brandy out there with us. Get drunk and float around waiting on Carpathia to get her ass over here.

    • @ilokivi
      @ilokivi Год назад

      It's unlikely that enough tools were on board the Titanic to remove the doors. It took time for the crew to check the damage and conclude that the rate of flooding was too fast for pumping to keep the ship in a stable position. Approximately 2,200 passengers and crew were on board, therefore it is estimated that there were at least that many mattresses and almost certainly more doors. After colliding with the iceberg at approximately 11.40pm on 14 April 1912, Not until 12.26am on 15 April did Titanic begin signalling CQD. Immediately upon receiving this, Carpathia put about and made for the damaged ship's location covering 58 miles in four hours at up to 17 knots in total darkness into a known ice field.
