Loved this book since I was 15 .
I used to collect antique Greek you know. 💝 books 📚 when I was teenager. Much to the surprise of my friends parents. 🙄

I can see why this would be a loved book. I believe that those that resonate with the story... it could be that we are stirred by ancient mythical history or we subliminally know we too are heroes in our own lives. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your comment.

I haven't see my first wife for over 35 years, but she has gorgeous grey eyes. I have never met another person with grey eyes. Absolutely stunning.
Sing, Muse, of the maiden, whose eyes held the grey
Of a storm-cloud at dawn, in a mystical way.
Her skin, like fine porcelain, smooth and so fair,
    And her hair, raven-black, a night-woven snare.
    A vision of beauty, a goddess's own,
Whose loveliness left all onlookers prone.

I can imagine you'd probably get lost in that gaze.
"Sing, Muse, of the maiden,..." Wow those words are beautiful, I can almost imagine the lyre playing behind it. Thank you for sharing 💕 🪻 😊
