At some point, I’d like to do a video myself on the almost never-seen parts of Santa Barbara: that only the locals know about. Indeed, you’ve hit the well-traveled tourist spots ... However ... Pendola Hot Springs, Hollister hot springs, Cold springs trail, Montecito Tea Gardens, Mesa Lane (hidden surfing) beach, Ellwood (old fishing pier), The remnants of the Japanese internment camp, Rincon and Ojai, fly-over the Clarke Estate (on East Beach), fly-over the old McCormick estate (where the Prince and Princess now live), Douglas family Preserve, More Mesa and Gaviota beaches (clothing optional), Rattle Snake Canyon, Mountain Drive “old hippie” community, Inspiration point, ... and, so many other hidden places in Santa Barbara (my home town).
Thank you so much for this video. I was planning a surprise weekend trip to Santa Barbara to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and your tips absolutely made our weekend! Everything from lunch at Sushi Go Go, drinks on Hendry's Beach, to devouring The Elvis and Breakfast Sandwich at Helena Avenue Bakery the next day. I can't thank you guys enough. Keep making great content and I'll keep tuning in! 🙌
This made me homesick. I lived in SB for over 20 years but moved to Chicago 5 years ago and I really need to go back and visit. So many fond memories there.
@@TheLoversPassport Chicago has a lot of great places and people. But since I have better memories I vote for SB. I'm sure many would disagree. I plan to visit this summer for the solstice parade. (Not likely) because of pandemic. Maybe the following summer.
You guys should’ve mentioned Lily’s tacos for authentic Mexican tacos!! Classic staple in Santa Barbara and opened that second location in Goleta a few years ago when I still lived there
This was so helpful! I'm planning a birthday trip to SB soon and can't wait to try out the wineries and restaurants you suggested. Thanks for putting this video together
Some great tips! I'm seriously thinking of visiting after Labor day and am stoked you said Sept is one of the best times weather wise. Will be a great way to say goodbye to my home state before moving 🤙
Heading out to SB in three weeks with the fam, spending a Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, and I'm glad I found your channel and this video, so thank you! By the way, I can't help but think I was watching James Franco and Claire Danes the whole time. :)
New subscriber here! I took notes from this video as I'll be going to SB in April! Has anyone told your bf that you look like actor James Franco???? That was my first impression
Thanks for taking us around Santa Barbara, guys. It sounds and looks like THE COOLEST place to hang and go to school. Climbing, surfing, beaches... what more could you want!? Question: is the Funk Zone a district?? What a unique name 😂 😂
It is seriously one of our favorite places in CA! Haha yes, the Funk Zone is basically a district/neighborhood filled with a ton of contemporary boutique tasting rooms, trendy cafes, galleries, and shops!
I apologize for that, i worried it might have seemed rude. Nothing personal, just a candid feeling atm. But good video otherwise :D!@@TheLoversPassport
Poor production. They show all kinds of delicious food footage with NO captions or commentary, then do a few minutes of commentary WHILE SITTING IN THEIR CAR TALKING ABOUT THE STUFF THAT WAS SHOWN A MINUTE AGO IN FULL COLOR VIDEO!!!!!
@@TheLoversPassport Well didn't mean to discourage you. I think your content is great but your presentation gets tiring. Just a note towards it's improvement.
If you’d like to see the mountains, check out our la Cumbre video and lizards mouth video, best hikes video, things to do in around SB video there’s plenty of them there
Do you ever like to play tourist in your home town?
Yup I currently am
I realize Im kinda off topic but do anyone know a good site to watch new tv shows online?

Wow, we are so happy to hear that!! Makes us love doing what we are doing! :) Santa Barbara is so special, so stoked to know you had a great time!
Is the Capwell Family still in Santa Barbara ?
Is Cruz Castillo still a detective working for the SBPD (Santa Barbara Police Department) ?
These are great questions but we are not sure!
This made me homesick. I lived in SB for over 20 years but moved to Chicago 5 years ago and I really need to go back and visit. So many fond memories there.
How do you like Chicago compared to SB?

OMG LOL Never have heard the Claire before! Hope you have a great trip Jeff!
Surprised Satellite isn't mentioned. That's a wine and food spot well worth mentioning.
Thank you for the recommendation! We have never been there before!
@@TheLoversPassport you have to check it out! I've only been there once but whenever I'm back in the area, it's the first place I'm going to.
I LOVE Handlebar! Enjoyed this video so much
Thank you Katie! That means a lot to us :)

We think the best spot for Brunch is Cafe Nouve!
She looks like the girl from Madfit channel 😀 heading to SB and thanks for the video🤩
Have the best time in SB! We were just there for 4th of July!
What shirt is he wearing? Been looking for a good round deep cut plain tee like that, great vid. Thank you!
Thank you Cesar! He got it from the H&M in the Collection in Oxnard a few months ago!
What a sweet day reminiscing in a special town for you two!! Looks like some awesome places to check out!
We always love heading up here since it's so close to us! Definitely recommend if you ever do a CA coast trip to check it out! :)
I live in Goleta and almost everyday I go down to state street and just enjoy seeing the beauty
The city is truly a special place!
He reminds me of James Franco. You guys really helped me with these SB recommendations. Thanks
Thank you so much! Happy to hear we could help :)

It is one of our favorite cities we have ever visited!
Hi James Franco!
Are you guys from Santa Bárbara?
Chepo Gil We both lived there for a little over 4 years! ☺️

Sir - this video was filmed 3 years ago before we knew how to work a camera. Everyone has to start somewhere. Have some empathy LMAO
Maybe minimize so much of you two in front of the camera and show more scenes!
Kinda rude but thanks for the feedback ✌️

Why didn’t you go to the mountains , “hidden gems” lmaoo you don’t know nothing about hidden gems
We have like 3 other videos dedicated to that specifically 😂😂😂
If you’d like to see the mountains, check out our la Cumbre video and lizards mouth video, best hikes video, things to do in around SB video there’s plenty of them there
This whole video could have just been summed up "go to funk zone and state." Should be retitled how to explore SB like you're from LA.
I’m assuming you didn’t see our dedicated other videos for hikes and non city things! To each their own - have a nice day!
OH Welcome to santa barbara, now go home!
Is your name Karen?
