- Fly Fishing brown trout on the edge of rivers. Many of the best brown trout are caught while focusing in on the edge water - that is, the water off the main current - the "soft water".
Look for a full version DVD available later 2010!
Using a big rock to sneak up on the fishes is my favorite trick. Got to stop watching these before bed. Big fish on dry flies keep me up at night!!😉😃. Cool video, thanks, Allen
Hard not to watch rising trout! 😍🍻
YT algorithm doing its work - I appreciate y’all’s more updated sound tracks on your videos now!
there has been a little growth the past 15 years ;)
I know that fly fishing is slow and a waiting game but i still love fly fishing the most. Because i find it so much more relaxing
I've watched this video a couple of times and it gets better each time. This is definitely up there on my list of best fly fishing videos. Some of those pics you have of big browns feeding in the beginning of the video are spectacular and maybe not everyone agrees but I think the music was a good choice. I'm super jealous of the amount of big fish you guys get to catch... keep videos like this one coming!
wow this video has it all, great music..great camera work..thanks for sharing a classic with us! I gotta go fishing NOW :-)
One of the best Fishing Action. Thanks a lot
3rd time is a charm- love the part where it took on the third drift...excellent video...please post more. Excelllent music too- I actually bought that CD after hearing it here.

Great video - really. That is one of the best videos I have seen. Thanks.
Great slow motion shots of big snouts coming out and sucking in those mayflies! Great job, one of the best dry fly videos I have ever seen.

@@ClaudioHuebra wonderful to hear. This year we are heading to Magic Waters Lodge with Eduarado. There are so many opportunities through Chile & Argentina :)
Wonderful film. Thanks for sharing.
i just revisited this video again after a couple years and I've got to say it's one of the best fly fishing videos I've seen and I've watched hundreds and hundreds. Great camera work, especially on those browns feeding on the delicious Mays. I live in an area in the US that has some spectacular fishing waters but my dream is to get out to NZ one day!
Thanks for the comments! This has been a collection through the years, as you see the difference in aspect ration and clarity between SD/HD formats and codecs. The footage is on Alberta and New Zealand trout waters. We put this video together to coincide with my article in American Angler next issue. Trouble was, we put together a video timeline and it turned out to be an hour long of such clips, and we had to narrow it down! A dvd might be in order!
Cheers
You make it, I’ll buy it!!
They looked very much like brown trout...only bigger.
Holy cow, what fish! And such hatches!
Great Video !!!!!!!! AWESOME FISHING !!!!!
Man i would just love to get the money to travel to the S Isl of NZ to fly fish for those beautiful brown trouts my self i just love fly fishing it is so nice and peaceful

@jensenflyfishing Hey it's me again i just wanted to say that this video inspired me to fish with fly more that i already do so thank you for this awesome video greetings from me Henrik from Denmark
Best trout fishing I've ever seen....Loved it. I fish for trout in eastern Europe, max 17inch...Kind of a small fish compearing to these NZ browns...:) It's like trout paradise to me. I wonder what is the cost of such fishing adventure. From internet I know U ware fishing for eighteen days. How meny of that time U ware fishing with Serge? Really awesome livestyle of Yours. This i call happy people :) Thanks and hope U will bring more those kind of stuff on youtube.
God brown trout are beautiful!
That my friend was quality ...epic video
Love that surface feeding frenzy!
Thanks again everyone!
The spit out was an elk hair caddis.
All music was by Juliet - Random Order album. The large tail that came out after the dry fly goes down - it was a large fish but spring thin. Could have been 10# in summer but it was spring. The video was in New Zealand and the province of Alberta, Canada in the Red Deer area.
The video cameras: Canon GL2 for the SD and Sony HDR-HC1 for the HD widescreen. Any time anyone wants to host us on the Derbyshire Wye, we'll come!
one of the best video out there cheers for the upload i loved every minute. Mark
Awesome footage man
amazing video
this is so beautiful, i can only dream of places like this!
great video Dave , loved all those eats! 5 *
Outstanding video! Gives me something to shoot for. Very professional but I'd change the soundtrack...
nice video great music
Great work, some of the best camera work I've seen, those rises caught on film are outstanding... suddenly my videos seem inadequate! Cheers from New Zealand.
Some was old video footage from the Fly Fisherman Magazine website from a while ago. Yes, a few clips were from the Red Deer. Many from central Ab brown trout streams. A few on the Bow. Then there's that New Zealand footage too. :)
Thx for the comments.
:)
Nice fish!
@alamao24 Actually most of the browns you see are taking the adult stage of the bugs they are feeding on, which include mayflies and stoneflies primarily. Most of the fishermen are using dry fly patterns
I need to learn how to do this! Great video. I just cant seem to land a brown on the fly :(. back to the books i suppose!
This is awesome
And old! Our first tube vid I think!
He sure does. Wound up getting it though. :) A very neat spot for a trout. :)
Thanks a bunch. :)
Simple dry-dropper combos, foam flies or stimulator like with pheasant tail dropper. :)
you go girl !!!!
3:22 perfect take!
You might want to check your local machine for cpu useage in the background for anything that might be slowing system processing speed, or for anything that might slow your connection. Cheers
vary vary cool!!!
nice fishing !"
@jensenflyfishing i agree my friend by the way i was on a medium sized stream for a week ago or so and on a size 20 may fly i caught a brownie that wighed around 3 kg's and what a fight
Great stuff! Very enjoyable; just one problem: the playback is only smooth in 360p, as soon as you try 480p or HD it becomes very jerky, not sure what's causing this.
@mivtubyeej depends. if fish are busting the surface, go with a dry fly. if not, go with a streamer or a nymph.
Gr8 vid
good trout pron!
@testarossa123 No - it was a subtle take from a brown literally resting along shore. Cheers
nice..beautiful trout..good camera work...and the music...it`s atleast tolerable
Very Cool
That was some incredible footage. Where was this filmed?
I want to go fishing!
we use 4 wt rods for the most part.
You are lucky, In Czech Republic we have to wait till the 16th of April . :(
Tight Lines.
searching patterns are your way to go. humpies and wulffs
@shitskadoodle It's a N central river on the S Isl of NZ
what weight rod do you recomend for fly fishing a medium sized river for brown trout
what kind of fly /flies were you using in this video and awesome shots.
Nice.
Amazing video...beautiful camera work and impressive fish!
What river is that at 6:04?
@MrJuve20113 So is fly fishing. :)
Check out Random Order's Juliet disc.
jensenflyfishing congratulation.
trout look the coolest at when there about 11 to 12 inches long
When RUclips tells your to watch this in 2021 you watch it
Yup, that's an older video but neat that it was recommended to you! Hope it was helpful and inspiring.
what flies do u use??
@jensenflyfishing okay thanks dude but i were just wondering are you danish or Australian or what
@mivtubyeej hey a good alround wet fly is the red tag and red tag palmer
As far as i can see the most of the flies the big brownies are taking are either caddis nymphs or the mayfly nymph am i right
Wonderful vid....but I could do without the music (so I turned it off). Amazing camera work.
WHERE IS THIS??
A variety of waters in Canada and New Zealand.
J aime
@shitskadoodle A back country river on the S Isl NZ. :)
@spyhunter2010 south island of NZ and Alberta, Canada
Cheers
In that video I don't think any were with Serge, but without him the curve would have been harder and longer...
@struck2soon
Have done that already; it doesn't affect any other clips I'm viewing. The full dvd looks like it will be good, when do you plan the release?
what´s the name of the songs?
Ahhhhh.....
Probably not until towards the end of the year. We've just added another talent to the mix that will make this, and forthcoming projects, quite good. :)
Sorry it doesn't work well on your system. Also clear cache, etc, and try again (though I assume you would have) :)
I agree, music is really poor. The video however is awesome
The music is very good.....what is?
New Zealand waiting..........
@alamao24 Canadian. :)
please ... as they are called songs ?
Was that a snag at 8:13? I certainly hope not!
@jensenflyfishing ahh okay but your name just sounds a bit like a mix between danish and Australian why i am saying that is that i am danish and my last name is Jensen but i am also a fly fisher så i love your videos but most i love this one
@jensenflyfishing hey friend thanks fpr answering me but i just wanna say i caugt the best brownie ever 2 days ago
Dude were you talking about the music on my videos? Cuz the song on this reminds me of a gay strip club? Keep up the great work buddy
Music doesn't really fit the video but whatever cool vid
5*****
Like the vid but music is bad!
Xò se volete far gli attori...andate ad Hollywood:come, quando, con cosa, perchè?
Boring to view. Its fishing no a disco night out
