I am so grateful for whoever took the time to post this on RUclips. It has been an incredible blessing for me. He confirms many things I already believe but introduces literally volumes of new thoughts, ideas, and behaviors to spend serious quality time contemplating. This has been one of the best expositors of Abraham I have ever heard. The only other one that holds water is Walter Veith's "Typology of Deliverance". This one repeated the same themes with more detail in crucial areas. They actually go hand in hand now that I am thinking about it.
I just prayed for Mr. John Lennox. His Ministry is an annoinment of the Holy Spirit on the Gift he has been given for the uplifting of Christ's Body. When we see and hear of such brilliance (Gift of the Holy Spirit), we acknowledge the Holy Spirit, HIS manifestation among us. Most people would rather die themselves than see their offspring killed, but not old Abraham, he willingly put his son Isaac onto a stone sacrificial altar and was about to cut his throat when God relented, any normal human being would have told God to go to Hell when he first made the request. Abraham must have been a person of very weak character to accede to that demand and how did he feel afterwards whenever he thought about the whole scenario? the guilt would stay with you for a lifetime, murdering your child in order to claim a place for yourself in Heaven after your death. And what about this loving God who asked for that sacrifice from one of his followers? he is supposed to be all knowing yet he didn’t have the ability to gauge Abraham’s devotion without some display of proof. This is the God Christians profess to love, would you kill your children without a qualm if you believed any God wanted you to? I think not, you would protect your children with your life if you are a normal person. This reveals the morality of both Abraham and his fictitious God.

This has been one of the best expositors of Abraham I have ever heard. The only other one that holds water is Walter Veith's "Typology of Deliverance". This one repeated the same themes with more detail in crucial areas. They actually go hand in hand now that I am thinking about it.

Solomon Lee Yes , But what if , instead of global understanding, all the ends and out of. these types of characters, are instead on a quantum level, these types and characters are, contained in the seed of and every one who comes to salvation is an overcomer of all these types and personality. Making it where there is no jealousy, no deceiving because these cells are all working for the good of your salvation. What sort of person would murder their children at the behest of a God wanting proof of their devotion?
Most people would rather die themselves than see their offspring killed, but not old Abraham, he willingly put his son Isaac onto a stone sacrificial altar and was about to cut his throat when God relented, any normal human being would have told God to go to Hell when he first made the request.
Abraham must have been a person of very weak character to accede to that demand and how did he feel afterwards whenever he thought about the whole scenario? the guilt would stay with you for a lifetime, murdering your child in order to claim a place for yourself in Heaven after your death.
And what about this loving God who asked for that sacrifice from one of his followers? he is supposed to be all knowing yet he didn’t have the ability to gauge Abraham’s devotion without some display of proof. This is the God Christians profess to love, would you kill your children without a qualm if you believed any God wanted you to? I think not, you would protect your children with your life if you are a normal person. This reveals the morality of both Abraham and his fictitious God.
It always amazes me that people who teach that our works are part of our salvation don’t preach the gospel to everyone as they are commanded to do.
