Mayor of Mayberry (Roy Stoner) on The Andy Griffith Show. He didn`t do anything but cause trouble there also..

@@sherylarnold2083 Mayberry was supposed to be a made up town. Andy was born in Mount Airy North Carolina so people think Mt Airy`s is Mayberry but it isn`t .. The real Mayberry is where Andy`s parents lived ..Mayberry Virginia !!!!!!!
Loves sheriff coffee and clem
This is the only episode I see that FINALLY addresses old, old, slow in mind and body Sheriff Coffey...he even senile now, cannot be fast with his mind or body to do his little town work, etc.
Then he gets angry that anyone is doing what they are supposed to...and that is getting the old codger out...or let him pick up the mail or play with the little kids that see him as a grandpa type.
They should have made the story so that old 75 year old "lawma. cannot use his gun or body to bring in anyone...let Coffey get shot down seriously, bring in Adam or some able lawman and fans of the show would be happy.
I never grasp why these damn westerns have these old lawmen that are of no use. Damn, it is not a popularity contest or how much anyone likes the old man. He ruins the show. I seldom watch westerns anymore because they seldom make one that is a picture of the real west. Ben is doing no good by making Coffey's life in more danger. Let Coffey empty the cell toilet buckets and get mail, send telegrams and keep out of the serious things so he does not get himself killed, etc.The series had one good actor...Adam, well, Hoss too mostly but there is one "d or D- show there. Gunsmoke was ridiculous after "Chester" left but that Festus should have been in Bonanza and put Adam in Gunsmoke and make GS better.

I like Clem more than sheriff coffee and that guy is right sheriff coffee is getting old and tired he can’t take care of a town like that anymore like he used to it’s time for him to step down and let a young person be in his place like Clem, Clem is young than sheriff coffee

When the sound doesn't work like with most of the videos this person uploaded I found that if I use headphones, secondary speaker or a bluetooth device that I'll be able to hear the sound allowing me to enjoy the show. Not sure why it works, but it does.
