- Hello there ladies and gentlemen welcome to todays video where we play the wonderful nostalgic game known as ANNO 1404. This is likely a game that everyone has at least played or heard of and it certainly brings back a large amount of happy nostalgia.
Anno 1404 is a fun city builder and management game which is of course a perfectly balanced game with no exploits! To have some extra fun today whilst I use tons of exploits to break the game I will focus on colonizing just about everything.
This video is going to be packed with funny clips in a montage style of british humor!

First of all it's not a joke, just an expression, and in this case you wouldn't use the literal translation of relation but use "connections" instead.

Best Anno ever. Key reason for me: as far as I remember 1404 is the last game that kept me in a single map while later version added other realms on top of it (submarine, other planets, other continents). As a result, there is always something going on out of my scope which removes a key element/feeling of Anno. You do not have access to anything at anytime which robbs me of the illusion of having everything under control ! 1404 for the win!

love this game. Loved getting the achievements and abuse the AI. While it still did some stuff better like the campaign, victory conditions, single map, etc, 1800 is overall a better experience nowadays with all of its QoL features.
I mean, we can agree on that, but how exactly is the AI broken?
(My younger, probably 16 year old self will cry at this, since I love this series that muchM but still :) )
I think, Anno 1800 is very similar to 1404 it just expands on some concepts and gets more complex. That's why I love it, It still feels like 1404 but it technologically progressed from that time

Me too. The sci-fi ones look terribly uninteresting, and 1800 just feels like a weird era for exploring and colonizing islands. Not a single screenshot I've seen of 1800 looks right to me.

Hey Spiff, if you find this overpowered and/or broken, consider checking out Endless Legend. One of the races (dragon-people, my favorite!) can force ALL types of diplomatic deals, as soon as they have the tech to have those deals at all. It's quite fun :P

It is almost 2022 and I still enjoy Anno 1404. The 1800 is pretty, but it isn't the same.
It could be the graphic since I always thought 1800 are kinda grey, bland and shallow, don't get me wrong I love 1800 and it fun to play, but it doesn't have that colorful and personality of 1404

soo yes, Anno1404 it is, was and always will be, I used to play it YEARS ago, one of my first games, and it is still great, I recently bought it again on my new computer, because the old cd did not want to work on win 7/8/10
