Hey! I followed this tutorial to do my own, and used Mod Podge instead of resin (to keep a low budget) and if you add a few layers the effect is very similar and durable.
I was considering that too. Glad to hear that it will work.

I am amazed at the level of talent this lady has! Makeup, hair, costumes, crafting, painting, prop making and more! So talented I had to subscribe... and I'm not even into cosplay lol. I am binge watching this channel! This, in particular, was beyond outstanding!
Omg this is utterly astounding! The detail is amazing and I wish I had your creativity and patience. And the fact that you look like Edward and Kim both at the same time is eerie!
I can't get over how good the final product looks. You'd have never guessed that it's just a bunch of Popsicle sticks and others materials glued and painted together.

i am definitely using this technique for a firend's edward's cosplay and my own lady dimitrescu claws!
I may do this someday. It will take many hours or days, and be a process, but my love for Burton and this movie would make this possible..

This was a phenomenal build! Nice work. With the whole Johnny Depp trial happening, I thought this coming Halloween would be a great time to finally do Edward. I truly hope I can pull this off and watching your tutorial has really inspired me. I pulled off Freddie Mercury last year and got invited on stage at the Halloween party I went to and sang 2 Queen songs to finish the night. You need to sell your work, keep it up! :) WOnderful!!

Trying to cosplay (diy) for the first time and it's nerve wracking. I'm not very artistic besides musically. This is so helpful for me. I just saw your wig tutorial and now this, and I realize I just need to make do with what I can, as best as I can, even if it's not exactly "movie accurate"

Material list for the way I will make:
[ ] Poster paper for pattern
[ ] Popsicle sticks, large yet thin
[ ] Small Popsicle sticks
[ ] Craft foam white
[ ] Resin
[ ] Sand paper
[ ] Black and silver spray paint
[ ] Black gloves
[ ] Super glue
[ ] Eyelash curler and old scissors or sculpt with wire
[ ] A bit of vinyl
[ ] Mod podge
[ ] Polymer clay for various sized screws
[ ] Silver Metalic paint, gold,copper
[ ] Silver paint pen

I'm finishing these up and used a couple of different materials than planned.
For the screws I ended up using bolt cutters to cut actual screw ends to glue on. And I used air dry clay instead with wireframe for scissor handles

Can not thank you enough the extreme detail in creating all aspects of my costume for Halloween 2022. A lot of work but gonna be worth every minute!

I am following this right now. I got posterboard paper and kind of rolled it super tight to create a cylinder around my finger

Hi! wanted say u thanks! :) I made my own scissorhands yesterday to my Edward costume. The result was not nothing special like your are. I wanted wear this costume eleven years ago but I didn't know how to make the scissorhands, but thanks to your video I could make this most important custome part. I have to say I was the most looked in the party, people even asked me pictures with me. Thanks so much.

I don't have the patience, nor talent for this, however last time I did Edward I taped black trash bags over my skinny jeans. This year I will pull some of these techniques and make a much better(not as good as yours) version of a cheap and fast costume :)

After Johnny Depp won, I decided to make this cosplay. I'm only going to use what I already have at home, but I have to do Sciasor-hands. It seems simple from this movie, but it scares me

Do you have a basic materials list or breakdown of materials by step? For example, is that Foam or Warbla going over the popsicle sticks? And what is the Resin you use prior to sanding, etc.

Have you ever thought to use plastic dip in a can instead of resin. Less work and drying time is almost the same!!!! You did an awesome job on this cosplay 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
