I have about 90 per cent of these great books...what a great episode!.....a while ago i was thinking how we snuck up under a fence and up a ravine and saw Elvis singing inside Rocco Place ...it was just so awesome back in 67 but i do kinda feel bad poor Elvis had no privacy (but it was a great experience for sure!! One of my great adventures as an Elvis fan!!! 😅) Love those books!!!
Thank you, as always, for sharing your personal memories with me. I always appreciate it when you do that. It may be the style of writing that the book was done in that rubbed me wrong. It just made me feel bad for him the way he was chased down. I’m still glad to have the book, but I can’t say I felt good after reading it. The other is not so much. I enjoyed the others immensely. Thanks as always for watching.
I agree….! I can see the point of the insurance companies issue. Also after all these decades and millions of people walking on them they would have been worn and ragged by now. Unfortunate, but the right move to make.
@@TheElvisWorkshop I just really wish they had left the inside of Graceland the way it was when he died, even though it did look like a bordello; even Linda said that, but that's how he wanted it at the time. I understand why they wanted it more classic - who needed more people snickering about Elvis - like a walk-in Elvis on black velvet painting. Still, it's kind of sad to me that if he could magically come back, he wouldn't recognize it. Slowly (and sometimes not slowly) there's less and less of Elvis the real human left.
Loved the pushing the wrong button story that seems to be like Elvis they all probably got new Cadillac's after that lol Thanks for all the new info. 👑
That’s funny! I’m sure he felt like an ass after getting into theirs on his mistake! She speaks glowingly of him through the entire book. She went to work for him, but became like family.
@@TheElvisWorkshop you always have the most informative videos for Elvis fans and very much appreciated with the buy and don't buy commentary. No BS is welcome
@@stephenmilburn7622 thank you. I just give an honest opinion. If something is good or great. I’ll let you know. If it misses the mark, I’ll let you know that as well!
Great show!! Entertaining as always. Just talking about the maid seeing E being brought down on 8/16 made me stop the video and think. I e been in her shoes with my father, and a few friends. It’s a terrible place!! And you can’t “un-see” it! Ever!
I have so many things I want to say. First, I’m in tears, but you knew that didn’t you? Second, the part about the fans and the codes to stalk him, etc., I hate to admit it, but that would have been me. Lastly, I know a friend of yours who would love a piece of tile to go with her bricks… just sayin.
Hey Rick doesn't Nancy Rooks say in that book that she was there when Vernon told Ginger to leave and not come back. I think she says Ginger was on the stairs and Vernon was at the foot. It was a long time ago I read it. Ginger refutes this but it seems such a weird thing to put in your book if it was untrue.
I have no reason to believe anything Nancy wrote isn’t true. She didn’t ever seem to have an agenda. If she said it, I take it at face value. I believe her.
Stories like those in these books are priceless treasures !
Things like this is exactly what I enjoy about being an Elvis fan. Thank you for watching.

Super informed and had no idea about some of the details you presented about Graceland and great stories! Awesome job as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
A lump in my throat at the end there , some really great stories.
Luv the show.
Yeah, that was tough to read. Great book. Highly recommended.
Thanks for watching.
It looked so beautiful with the red tile! Too bad they couldn't keep it that way.

Wow I honestly had no idea that the meditation garden was demolished. Very cool that you have a piece of tile from the original tile!!!👍👍
It was a surprise to me too when I found out! I had no idea!

Same to you! Thanks for watching!
Hi and Happy New Year 🎊 I loved the book by Nancy Rooks ❤
Great book!
How about the craziness of Jerry Lee Lewis running into the gates drunk with a gun on the dash in 76? I need to get the Nancy Rooks book.
I thought about talking about that! Great story.
