In this video I preview the upcoming Ghettofluke from Frankencade. It is a next generation Fluke 9010A that is designed to access and test Roms and Ram on Arcade PCB's and Vintage Computers. In this video you will see a prototype as the latest version is being finalized at the time of this preview. II breakdown the HW, SW menu functions and demo testing Roms and Ram. Let us know your feedback on what features and games you would like to see released in the next revision. If you are interested in purchasing let us know and we will get you on the list as quantities will be limited. Enjoy and let us know your thoughts below.
Note----The Ghettofluke SW is a ground up build that's been in development for 3 years. Not one single line of code, interrupt programming or scripting was copied, modified or structured from any open source projects. This is a completely custom build specifically for testing 8-bit micro computers.

Thanks for that!! I asked for a list and got one!! I know Williams is on the list already and we've talked about adding Nintendo architecture but the custom CPU make it tricky, but not impossible. Let me digest this list and see what they all run on and I'll reply in a bit.

o Galaga & DK Jr. are already available.
o Many of the Z80 games can be added very easily like Tron, Tapper, MCR boards, will be added shortly/soon.
o Burgertime has it's processor encased in epoxy, so this one is a challenge.
o I have Centipede and Missile Command all scripted once I get to the 6502 pod/games and same for Q*Bert and the 8088 processor.
o Space Invaders uses an 8080 with +12V and -5V, so I probably wont be doing this one, although the Space Invaders test ROM works very well for this.
o Will be adding the 6509 processor and many of the Williams games in the future as well.

Looks very much like the Arduino ict. Unfortunately there hasn’t been much development on this project, but it’s open source and really works well. One upside of the arduino ict, is that you can also use it with a windows interface, which lets you select and use all games from mame, so it has a very big library.
It’s defenitely much cheaper than the $600 I saw on the website, this pricetag is a real letdown for me…

Thanks for the message. I didn't know about the ict but will check it out for sure. I like the idea of window based but need to check it out. The price for the GF is not set in stone because all the numbers are not in for the build that will be released yet. What would be a good starting price for you?

@@arcadelaboratoryI’m not the person to ask about price, I have opensourced the PCB’s I designed and do my repairs for free/parts cost only.

@@patzik1910 That's good on you and respectable! That's how the game technology and culture will live on. I try to stay as cheap as I can for my repairs and usually comes out to beans on the hour because I usually take my time and focus on quality repair and services. That's why I like the GF, it speeds up verifying ROMS and RAMS even compared to the Fluke 9010A. What's the biggest challenge for classic gaming going forward you think?

Pat-I can work a bit with price on you with this if you were really interested. Yeah-that ICT is way under-developed. I have been working on this for years now, and this didn't start via any type of open sourced project similar to the ICT. Has taken a great deal of time to get the product this far with many advantages over the original Fluke 9010A, with much more to come. The Fluke 9010A and the separate PODs put this out of reach for just about everybody out there.
