When I was a young kid, new Amiga games would just show up every month on my computer desk. And I remember loving this one. I really didn’t think that much about where the games came from, until I was a teenager. It was my dad buying them for me of course. But he never played them himself at all. He’d just read game reviews and then get them for me.
Oh gods this game brings back memories. This was actually one of the few games I had on my Amiga that I was able to legitimately complete as a kid. Although I have a feeling my English was so bad that I didn't know what the difficulty settings meant so I just randomed them most of the time... Still it was fun. I think the rock climbing section was my favourite of them all.
Me and my parents loved playing this together - each of us did different level types, I'd do the Cave and Jungle levels, mum would do the Mountain levels and Dad did the photography. We always went for the area with the different coloured name first too so we could use the teleporter to avoid the plane flying sections. XD
Looking at the video now as an adult after 20 years now I know what difficutly screen is about and I was always chosing the third option PS: yeah I have never finished the game as kid

I remember playing this game. In the hot attic room on the Amiga 500 of my dad. Ah nostalgia.. what a feeling...

Nice to hear a good story about video games bringing the family together :)
That thing with sodding rocket was a pain in the ass - if you fly too low then it'll keep you permanently stunned.
1:10 Lol!! I think that must be the first time in my life I've heard a video game composition attempt at bagpipes xD very funny ^^
5:48 Magica De Spell.
Someone needs to do a longplay on Hard.
This is is WAY better than the U.S. MS DOS version! I am really in awe just watching this longplay. It's got better music, sound... and voice samples.
The Amiga was a machine years ahead of it's time back then. The X86 was a terrible platform for games until the 486 and fast VGA cards became a thing.
I loved this game but I remember it was hard to control. Never saw the end.
Though I had this, I always preferred the NES game.... loved the graphics though!
Good game, but it crashed too often so never saw the ending until now... Now I am grateful for the crashes... That ending is so unrewarding.

i never understand how the caves works i lost every time....
Where did you learn to fly...
Where did you learn to fly...
Where did you learn to fly...
Where did you learn to fly...
Where did you learn to fly...
This game was so fuckin frustrating!
Part of the difficulty was due to the sluggishness in the platforming sections. I'm not sure if the A1200 ran it any better than the A500.
Even standing upon horribles sound effects was very difficult for me :D (sorry for my shitty english).
Al82 it was the same for pc
Terrible.
