This is based on a 1988 David Cronenberg film of the same name starring Jeremy Irons. The movie was not funny even in a macabre way, but it looks like they might have gone the way of American Psycho with this series and added some really dark humor. Cannot say I mind that, the movie was a rough watch. I still loved it. Jeremy Irons was so good in it that I had difficulty watching him in later films because he freaked me out so much in that one, lol
David Cronenberg's 'Dead Ringers' is my favorite psychological thriller. Jeremy Irons thanked for that movie in his Oscar speech. Rachel Wiesz is a brilliant actress. But, what is lacking in this trailer is haunting theme music like in Original by Howard Shore.

The more that I watch this trailer, the funnier it gets in a perverse sort of way, lol. So Rachel's playing sociopathic twin lesbian mad scientists, eh? Sounds right up my alley bc if humor isn't pitch black, why bother? 😂😂😂
I’d had some serious doubts about the remake of Dead Ringers, one of my favorite horror films - especially the gender swapping of the twins, which is usually just a cheap reboot gimmick, for scoring extra woke points.
But, no, it’s spectacular. Truly disturbing and better than anything Cronenberg, himself, has made in decades. Rachel Weisz has been one of my favorite actresses since The Fountain. Complex and subtle. I’m mean, she’s no Jeremy Irons, but nobody is!
The scene where they flash tearing ravenously into bloody meat with knives at dinner while talking about …the most delicate of feminine surgery?? Oh My God. Masterfully nauseating!
…so, yea, not for everybody!

Well, I’ve never heard the F word as many times in the space of an hour and other than that it’s just another show about lesbians and sex. That overpowers any stellar acting by Rachel Weisz, which is a shame.
Can't wait for it! To be honest, women suffer so much during pregnancy that humanity must invent some different way of birth giving. Cronenberg's film was sooooo boring, hope series will be better.
