    Execellent content. I'm learning to dispatch and broker process. I can run two lanes and have a group of owner operators all with over a decade of experience. I'm organizing everything and A2C is a great resource, speaks clearly, provides info of what matters most and seems to genuinely look out for drivers. Time to Binge on A2C vids.
    Thank you and I look forward to doing business with you.

    If youre not an experienced business person before starting a trucking company dont even think of owning a truck and trailer the brokers will eat you alive. It takes experience to know how to figure them out and also handle the many many issues that arise during load deliveries. These dispatchers just want a piece of you too. Book your own loads.

      Ok so your solution is to make less money because of a lack of experience or a lack of know-how. Think of it like this, would it hurt your ego if you made an extra $1,000 per week? That's an extra $50k per year. Off that extra $52k you'd pay us $3,640 and keep the rest. What a terrible service!

    In business/ any type or business or model there are assets and there are liabilities. A truck is a big huge liability, whereas a trailer is actually an asset.

    • @AFTDispatch
      @AFTDispatch  5 месяцев назад +1

      A truck pulls a trailer. A trailer is not self-propelled. A truck is a depreciating asset, not a liability. Unless you finance it, make payments, and never drive anywhere....and even then, depending on the tax situation, it may still be depreciated to lower taxable income. Still an asset.

    I just got a trailer and was doing power only because its more options with a trailer i was hoping things would change i think the trucking industry is finished its no money in it anymore, cant even make money no matter what if you run the numbers the loads are paying too cheap for anyone to keep doing this it doesn't make sense to me to how fuel went back to $4.30 average and the loads are all cheap and i know because i use 12 load boards and nothing is oaying enough to make sense $7800 is the minimum to survive and thats not possible anymore and if anyone thinks differently they will find out when they need to do a inframe engine rebuild i dont know but i see now that the trucking industry wl collapse and society will fall because it cant go on like this

    • @AFTDispatch

      It is true that operating costs have gone up, fuel has gone up, and repairs are very expensive, absolutely true. However, with that in mind, let's not forget that everyone has different operating costs. I have a driver who's operating costs are just above a dollar while others are at nearly $3/mi. The issue now is fuel, as I believe we should expect it to spike during the winter months. It's rough.

    Hi I’m also in the driving in history more on the limo side looking to expand my business into the cargo side due to how the market is looking to start off with two sprinter vans. Any advice on looking for loads in new clientele.

    • @AFTDispatch
      @AFTDispatch  Год назад

      My advice would be stay out of HotShots and LTL which includes Sprinter vans.
      You can find clients via load board, working with brokers, using a dispatch service like ours, direct ship, doing your own due diligence, and making lots and lots of phone calls, emails, and stopping by to shake hands.

    There's no way he could've did 6 loads in a week when 1 trip was a 2 day trip and most shippers are closed on sundays so he couldn't have delivered on a Sunday. So remove Sunday out if the equation because they're closed. And take another d5at away because there was a 2 day trip from superior, wi to salt lake city, ut which leaves you with 5 days. I've been dispatching for 7 years. I know the game. Even if there was a 6th drop it would've taken 2 days to do it

      Most does not mean all. You should know that after 7 years of dispatching.

    Trailer is the money maker NOT the truck. Customers do not give one single solitary crap about your truck....as they only care about the inside of the trailer.

I've made money in trucking in good and bad markets. Watch that video and you'll understand that there are always ways to make money in the trucking industry. Our entire country is built around it.

      @@AFTDispatch your right it is alot of money but besides being delayed at the receiver and at the shipper for 10 hours and not get detention pay or given the wrong delivery and being put in a terrible position by these new unprofessional people on the shipping side of things, it's too many variables that make it very difficult to make money besides being told crazy prices for only 1 bad brake chamber at $1000 because of the labor charged. All my loads oayed well this week though but ots to get a good run for a whole week straight.
