The only thing that sucks about the 2021 Aspec (I have it) is the accent lighting is ONLY red. I had the 2019 it had 3 or 4 colors. The 2022 has rainbow colors I think 22 of them. The 2021 also doesnt have the led tubes for the accent lighting on the interior either. I am presuming this was due to covid and not being able to source the parts. Otherwise it feels like a rocketship. Oh I forgot. It EATS gas more than my 2020 TLX 6 cyclinder aspec probably due to the turbo or my heavy foot...
I bought a 2021 Advance (coming from a 2014 Infiniti Q50 sport). The RDX is awesome. Its quick, it handles great, SH-AWD is awesome, its super comfortable. But low key the best feature is if you have three kids... the middle row floor is completely flat. This is unique in this segment (other than MAYBE Lexus). We looked at the XC-60 and Q5 and the drivetrain hump in the middle makes them practically 4-seaters, which is the issue I had with my Q50. We literally couldn't take my family of 5 any farther than a 10 minute drive in that car and it would have been the same in the majority of mid-compact luxury SUVs. Yeah, I could have gotten a RAV-4 or CRV and they would have had flat 2nd rows but not the same. Props to Honda/Acura for making such a nice, comfortable, sporty vehicle that is still ultra practical.
Hey ...it's been like a year....how are they? I have seen many bad reviews and complaints about them...i am looking at a 2021 Acura RDx myself but....tell me your experience.
I love the looks, it's one of my favorite SUV's in A-spec trim. I personally feel that for the price it needs to have 350hp V6 in it. I honestly wouldn't buy an SUV of this size with a 4 cyl no matter what the numbers are. If it was Q3 size then that's ok for a stock motor. I would rather get a one year old SQ5 for the price, and yes this is Acura so reliability will be better but that's my opinion on it.

Yeah I have a 2016 Acura RDX AWD w/ Advance Package. The smooth and silky Honda V6 just absolutely makes the car feel so much more luxurious than these 2.0L turbos. Wouldn’t mind having the better tech integration of this current generation. I actually like the new Infotainment. I’m afraid to upgrade to anything new because of GDI TURBO and I HATE turbo lag. Got an awd last week, great vehicle to drive but a few odd misses, no floor lights, feels dark with only small leds. No heated steering or folding mirror, pedal shifters are cheap plastic. No rear storage cover?? Overall a good deal as compared to a BMW X3, well equipped, stylish and more fun to drive.
Maybe try a model that's not base? The Aspec is very well equiped. That bmw will be crap in 6 years. The acura will have only shed its new car smell. Stylish? sure.... but it's not a dress honey. It needs reliability.

Love this car. My ONLY criticisms would be (1) the tail lights look tacky with the double points, and (2) the height is more like a crossover than an SUV.
@@J.Zealuis the only issue I had is the popping sounds thru the speakers. It’s a common problem but it is not bad. I heard the new model resolves that issue.
Have had two RDX’s and loved them. Would have gone for a third one, but during test drive of a new one, didn’t care for 4 cylinder engine at all. The V-6 that was last in the 2018 model was awesome. Too bad because the A-Spec trim is great looking.
i have one and i have issues with the audio. it sounds like rocks are hitting my windshield. i took it to the dealer and they cant fix the issue. also I'm at 87k miles I use it for work and my trans is giving me issues. its stuck on 2nd gear and it wont go pass 20mph. i have to turn my car on and off to get it to work. just consider this issues if you want to buy one.
I recommend driving a Toyota Venza after the RDX. The cars drive almost identical, super sporty. My only issue with the RDX is the A-Spec loses some features you might want and can only get on a top model trim. The Venza is cheaper, is a hybrid, and will be just as reliable and the performance feels almost identical. RDX has a nicer interior, looks great in the A-Spec, but pretty similar to the Venza in the other trims. 15000 km for oil changes on Venza, between 8-12000 km on RDX depending on how you drive it. Love both cars but I really recommend you drive both back to back and consider the price difference and the warranty.
Love the RDX but the Red seat were nice in early 2000, not anymore. The other thing is I wish the A-spec Cluster can switch into different colors. The always RED cluster become annoying after a while. Other than that, plenty of room inside, very nice to drive too.
Joe, between this and the 2021 TLX ASpec, which would you say is better overall? The pricing is very similar. Space isn't an issue for me. I haven't been able to drive either yet. Another great review fyi.

This was at the top of the list to replace my wife's totaled RX350. That was until I read about the reported transmission problems and the unreliable infotainment system (with pending class-action lawsuit). I was then surprised that CR readers also had problems. It looks like a nice package. Once they get their reliability together, we might give it another look.
@@Mickieshelton The last choice. BMW X3. She needed a car and it was the only one available that had every feature she wanted. No problems in the year and a half she's had it, for whatever that's worth.
Acura sales are on a decline. I think it has to do with marketing and relatability. When I went to buy my new Q5, I didn't even think of them. Completely evaded me. Hyundai and Kia are marketing themselves as affordable 'luxury' vehicles. What's Acura's ethos?

Where in LA?
The A Spec in red is 🤤🤤🤤
I can live without full digital. Acura is really making a nice comeback! Great review JOE!!!!
I'm loving the digital - analogue combo that Acura's going for
Personally, after driving this and the Audi Q5, I think it's clear that while the RDX is really great (and a huge step-up from the previous generation)... the Euros still have the upper edge in terms of refinement.
That said... I'd love for you to do a new Q5 review on the refreshed 2021 model!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one Evan! I will get that together for you!
Love your reviews sir. I live in Florida also. Do you recommend cloth or leather interior in the heat and humidity? Keep up the good work. Well done.
This guy is awesome. No health food just mountain dew, slim jims, lays and snickers 🤣😋🍫🍩🍰🧁🥤
Heck yeah David! I appreciate you saying that!
Much better package and value than the 2021 TLX Aspec.
I bought Rdx ASpech with red interior last month . Awsm suv
Since Im still on a diet, I'd fill the rear with pork rinds and string cheese!!
Hi Mr Raiti excellent review of the beautiful rdx aspec if possible can you please do the review on the Lexus RX 350 f sport....I'm still debating between the Rdx aspec vs Rx f sports
Thanks for the compliment! I will get that together for you!
Awesome suv 🚙 joe the color and the interior and those seats 💺 is great 👍 it have good visibility and control on the road and a lot off space boy o boy and those rims is beautiful give it up to crown 👑 Vic your team Lori and you joe 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✊✊✊✊👑👑👑💯💯💯💯💯✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙😉😉😉😉😉✅✅✅✅✅✅
This suv is so good! Very dynamic and sport. New german cars gets boring tbh
The interior of the car is stunning. I love the red interior, it just brings out car in soo many ways.
Love this car. My ONLY criticisms would be (1) the tail lights look tacky with the double points, and (2) the height is more like a crossover than an SUV.
I love my A-spec RDX. I went from an Audi TT (pre-baby) to an RDX (post-baby).
How's the RDX? I have seen a lot of complaints...just wanting actual testimonials from people who own them
@@J.Zealuis the only issue I had is the popping sounds thru the speakers. It’s a common problem but it is not bad. I heard the new model resolves that issue.
Don't think I've seen an RDX carve in a corner like that. Nice review as always Raiti!
Thanks for letting me share it with you TJ!
Have had two RDX’s and loved them. Would have gone for a third one, but during test drive of a new one, didn’t care for 4 cylinder engine at all. The V-6 that was last in the 2018 model was awesome. Too bad because the A-Spec trim is great looking.
Thanks for sharing your experience with this one.
Raiti's Ride SHUT UP NOW!! And take my 💰💰💰💰
i have one and i have issues with the audio. it sounds like rocks are hitting my windshield. i took it to the dealer and they cant fix the issue. also I'm at 87k miles I use it for work and my trans is giving me issues. its stuck on 2nd gear and it wont go pass 20mph. i have to turn my car on and off to get it to work. just consider this issues if you want to buy one.
Mom I’m bored!!!!.... get the mirror and stare at yourself!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 great review by the way. Now.....for one of my 25 slim Jim’s!!!!
Thank You Almighty God, I will buy one for myself
I recommend driving a Toyota Venza after the RDX. The cars drive almost identical, super sporty. My only issue with the RDX is the A-Spec loses some features you might want and can only get on a top model trim. The Venza is cheaper, is a hybrid, and will be just as reliable and the performance feels almost identical. RDX has a nicer interior, looks great in the A-Spec, but pretty similar to the Venza in the other trims. 15000 km for oil changes on Venza, between 8-12000 km on RDX depending on how you drive it. Love both cars but I really recommend you drive both back to back and consider the price difference and the warranty.
cant wait for the mdx.. i love the energy in your vids!! wish this rdx had an option for the v6
I love your car analysis.
From Nigeria 🇳🇬
Thank you my friend for saying that!
I'm really liking this RDX. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks for letting me bring it to you!
I have to always skip the “first let’s get into Acura (step toward the camera) part.” Just talk about the car.
I disagree with Acura. Touch screens are easier, faster, and safer than control pads. Fewer steps are required to complete any task.
That is a very good point!
@@RaitisRides Keep up the great reviews!
Love the RDX but the Red seat were nice in early 2000, not anymore. The other thing is I wish the A-spec Cluster can switch into different colors. The always RED cluster become annoying after a while. Other than that, plenty of room inside, very nice to drive too.
@Raschaud Farmer I know, but would buy the red, like really ?
My favorite Aruca SUV!! Amazing job Joe.
need power folding mirrors (parking in tight spaces) and heated steering mirrors in the A-Spec trim.
Your making the extra space for junk food not appealing. Or calling everyone fat and over weight lol.
Joe, between this and the 2021 TLX ASpec, which would you say is better overall? The pricing is very similar. Space isn't an issue for me. I haven't been able to drive either yet. Another great review fyi.
Another plus with the color white is that it really shows off your tan Joe! 😎👍🏽
Thanks for saying that!
can we confirm no sharks were harmed in the making of this video? 😂😂
LOL! I can not confirm or deny those claims.
A 2019-20 CPO advance for me please.
I will try to track one down for you!
Acura at St Louis,MO got one
Martinez Kimberly Davis Mary Lopez Barbara
There's a lot to like about the RDX. The design, that black on white looks hot, the performance and the interior looks amazing. Definitely a nice SUV.
Hi Raiti, Greetings from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. I ended up buying the Tech Package trim after watching your RDX videos. Thanks for sharing this information.
Hi Denisse! That is so wonderful! Congrats on your new RDX.
You sound like acura dealer not proper car reviwer. So biased.
i wish i could afford this, i wanna cry 🥲
I know how you feel!
U shud ✨manifest✨
I'm going to buy this one as a wonderful birthday gift to myself. I love love love your reviews!!! Keep up the great job pls👍👍

That is so awesome Lester1 Thanks for doing that!
That really means a lot my friend!
@@RaitisRides Joe, Lori. You are welcome.
Enjoyed your review Joe. Very detailed as usual. Keep up the good work. Keep them coming!
That is so awesome of you to say Thomas! Thanks for being so supportive!
Thanks, 🇺🇸😎🙏
This was at the top of the list to replace my wife's totaled RX350. That was until I read about the reported transmission problems and the unreliable infotainment system (with pending class-action lawsuit). I was then surprised that CR readers also had problems. It looks like a nice package. Once they get their reliability together, we might give it another look.
What did you get instead that matched your specifications?
@@Mickieshelton The last choice. BMW X3. She needed a car and it was the only one available that had every feature she wanted. No problems in the year and a half she's had it, for whatever that's worth.
@@darrell9616 how much you pay for the x3..I haven't drove a X3 yet....
@@Mickieshelton It was 58K MSRP, but that configuration doesn't exist anymore. We got 7K off.
Worried about reliability but you get a BMW 🤣
Acura sales are on a decline. I think it has to do with marketing and relatability. When I went to buy my new Q5, I didn't even think of them. Completely evaded me. Hyundai and Kia are marketing themselves as affordable 'luxury' vehicles. What's Acura's ethos?
I think you will see a change!
