Good evening everyone! Hope you’re all having a fab Sunday! And welcome to this weeks meals of the week :) I hope you’ve all had a good week! I’ll join you down in the comments for a wee while xxx
This is why Mr. What's-For-Tea (and me) are so smart! We think sausages are the perfect protein. We also have great taste in wives! Everything looked delicious. Thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and publish for all of us.
What a treat, two videos within the hour. Thank you Cheryl, what a crazy storm huh? The wall round the corner from me blew down, and I still can't get my head round how bricks blow down!!
We had haggis mash n neeps Saturday evening, first time having this, courtesy of my daughter in law, that storm was bad, power went out, bosses sent us all home xxx
Good evening Cheryl. Those chops look magnificent. My mom used to make chops with stuffing baked on top. She used dried bread cubes, diced onion and celery, either sage or poultry seasoning, salt and pepper and enough chicken broth or hot water to just soften the bread. She put the chops in the pan and piled the stuffing on top and baked it in a 350°F oven till the chops were done through. She would serve it with mashed potatoes and some form of veg. So delicious. Have a great week.
Looks like another week of lovely meals. I’m glad you served applesauce with the pork chops; our family does that too. I really like the taste of them together. Really enjoy your different plates, and how you arrange things on the plate: always very nice. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead! ❤️🌹
I thought of you today Cheryl. I made lasagna for my father in laws 85th birthday and I cut into it before it set, and it fell apart. Missed you yesterday.
@@WhatsForTea I have just had the best laugh of the week! Underneath your kind remark to kellyhoge8290 ('Aw') Google had put a footnote which said 'Translate to English' - so I clicked it just to see what they were translating?? It said the translation was 'Oh'! How gormless is that?! It did make me laugh though, so something good came from it!
I had Haggis on Burns night! First time I've ever had haggis as one of the ingredients (lamb lungs) is illegal for human consumption in the USA. Where I lived previously. It was just a premade haggis that we got from Sainsbury and simmered for 45 minutes. I didn't care for it. It had a lot of clove and nutmeg in it. Those aren't my favorite spices, and I'm really not fond of them with meat. It thought it was ok other than that though. Maybe if I could adjust the recipe so it had a lot less of those spices, I'd like it better. My husband is a haggis fan, it's one of the foods he missed the most when he lived in the USA. Our 11 year old *loved* haggis and gave it two very enthusiastic thumbs up.
And on Burns Night! I'm having tatties abd beans my way for lunch, I guess. Baked sweet potato with Cuban style black beans, as I don't like sweet beans. But I may leave part of the potato clear on the end for butter and cinnamon, as "dessert"
Great looking meals Cheryl! 😋👌 Today’s chops looked lovely, I haven’t had pork chops for such a long time, will definitely treat myself to a couple next time I’m in the butchers. Thanks as always 🙏 for sharing your delicious looking dinners, always love to see what you’ve made for the family 🥰, I really miss preparing meals for the family, it’s just not the same when you’re cooking for one. Take care & here’s hoping for a more settled week’s weather 🤞. xx 👩🏻🍳👌🍲💕💞💖
When I do curry chicken I always use bone in chicken pieces. It's the best. The sausages, beans and mash just brings me right back to my childhood. Comfort meal.
Everything looked delicious. I hope your Sunday was peaceful and enjoyable. We spent a very quiet day at home and enjoyed a good rest. It's been very cold here in Washington State and hubby made a good chili. I hope your week is amazing!
Looking at the pork chops, I think it’s fair to assume that the apprentice has been working on the cutting board. As I would say we all have to learn some time.
Those pork chips look delicious , well all your meaks looked so nice I love homemade potato salad/ coleslaw so much nicer than shop bought. I'm.going to poach chicken next time we have it yours alwags looks so nice & juicy
Hello Cheryl, on Burns night I had a couple of sausages, mash, mixed vegetables and gravy for two good reasons. One, trying to find a decent haggis in Chester is a near impossibility. Two, a haggis, even a small one, is a bit big for a solo diner. 🤷🏻♀️ 👍🏻
Well I certainly got my days mixed up today. I wrote to you this morning to take care, stay safe. Now I see you wrote on the community chat on Saturday January 25 ! 😂🤣😂🤣 Oh well, am going to check out your videos now! ✌🏻💞🇺🇸
Guess what I got a slow cooker for free this week, first one ever, so I'll be checking to see if you have a slow cooker chicken curry recipe, not used it yet but its exciting for me 🙂 and hope for better meals.Thank you x
Luckily you Carol 🥰, hope you enjoy getting used to your new slow cooker & am sure you’ll find it a great appliance to have in your kitchen. Pretty sure that Cheryl has done slow cooker chicken curry recipe in the past - so hope you enjoy it! 👍👌😋
@@carolking4124 I’ve still got an old Morphy Richard’s model from the early 80’s Carol & it still works just fine - I’m sure you’ll love it! Happy cooking.😊💙
Thats not your normal Chicken Curry rather have the other one pal still awaiting me invite lol, Sausage & Mash yeah I'd go for that & Fish & Chips see you next week keep Warm & Safe in the Storms pal x
Hi Cheryl my friend it’s only me from down south ~ I hope you’re okay and keeping well and managing to stay safe and warm and dry- I’m just about to settle down and watch your Vlog/video. So sorry for late commenting but as you know things are pretty tough at the moment - I’m hoping to watch in the next 30 minutes - I hope you have a great week- sending loads of love and loads of hugs as I said earlier please please stay safe ~ Xxx Xxx
I got 3 huge chickens and broke them down, froze meal size portions, boiled backs and thighs for broth to make dumplings, gravy and some noodle soup. Lots of meals for $19 US.
Cheryl may i ask if you have any recipes for type2 diabetes. Love all your recipes but my husband has to watch his carbs ie potatoes pasta and so on. If you could email me direct that would be great. If you want to put a comment on your meals of the week i will gladly pm you direct so many thanks judy

I told you you had a refined palette. Marks and Spencer's balsamic glaze sounds pretty refined to me 😂
It's just thick sweet vinegar really 😆 It's been in the cupboard for months Pink.
I love my slow cooker. I also love Balsamic glaze. I use it on burgers, fries, salads and sandwiches.

Love those blue dishes, and the ideas for some meals.
Two in a row👏👏Super!❤️
🥰
❤ I love chicken in all dishes, especially chicken breast, it's delicious, thank you for your great recipe ideas, have a good week ❤❤
I’m giving these fish cakes a go soon.
It’s worth the effort buying more spuds and doing homemade chips rather than buying a brand bag of ready made.
Hi Cheryl
I was fully expecting you to be dishing up haggis for Saturday’s tea. Surprised to see fish and chips. Great meals though 😊
Welcome back Cheryl,.🖐🇺🇸
This food is so beautifully cooked and presented.
Always a lovely presentation, a good reminder to get myself together at the dinner table.

Here checking what you had to celebrate Burns Night-fish and chips? 😂😂😂 oh well!
Is that your own recipe for the sausage casserole, sweet and sour out of the jar is lovely on pork chops.
Brilliant as always thx for sharing
Baked beans and mash are my ultimate comfort food and the dinner I usually make for myself if my husband isn't home.
Awesomeness as always Cheryl 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thank you

All looks delicious Cheryl. I prefer butchers meat. Them chops looked yummy.😋
Beans and potatoes, just like beans and any whole grain, make a whole protein. That's important for people dealing with food insecurity to remember.

You are so lucky Cheryl to have a local butcher, we used to have one and a fishmonger, sadly both now gone😢
well thats my dinners sorted for this week😍
Tips for poaching the chicken please?
Google it
Are your pork chops actually pork steaks? If I get pork chops they are on the bone.
We have both boneless and on the bone...they're all just called chops at our butcher Maggie 💓
Yummy meals Cheryl 😊
Very nice like always thanku
I just learned about Burns Supper!

How did you fare personally in the storm? I’ve seen a lot of damage around the Solway firth. Cheers, and ATB!
Looks delicious!
We don’t call it sweet corn in the US. We just call it corn even if it says sweet corn on the label. 😬 great video as always. Thank you
