We can not use ac suppy to power nodemcu or relay.
You can use ac suppy on other end of relay.

How about using Arduino Uno?
You need Internet to connect to a blynk. You will admit that Internet cable isn't convenient so internet sheild won't be a good choice. WiFi shield is quite big. And nodemcu esp8266 is small, conveniet and has built-in wifi. Also it's cheap. So it's a good choice

If you use the esp8266 module with its board like this one in the video, you don't need arduino anymore because esp8266 is practically "arduino with built-in wifi". It has digital/analog pins like uno or any other. And there is a breakout module of esp8266 too which connects to arduino and it is smaller and cheaper. But if you use a one like used in this video, you don't need additional microcontroller.
