      Single coils!! Thankfully guitar sounds are in the context of a band and it’s the sum of the parts - not the perfect fidelity of any one source. And the tone!

    Once again folks, it’s not the arrow, it’s the Indian. Joey, you sound beautiful and I love how your vibrato sounds like you singing, as it should. I’m enjoying my Bloomfield Drive combo lately.
    I play in a subtle stereo chorus sphere. Just below noticeable. I have an old pair of Vibrolux Reverbs, a pair of Lab5,s and a old pair of Reverberockets, along with a few amps from Don Ritter at Category5……I sound like me with any and all of them.. I’m really enjoying you group and you as a player and singer songwriter. Thank for taking the time to share your music.

    Excellent! As a fan I love the Bros and have kinda fanboy stalked Joey cause he is one of the the few that can get the Ry/Lowell thing and then own it. This vid was significant around working the guitar volume knob as a live player and back line situations. Also the vid was a great tutorial on open C/D voicing...bravo! More of these vids would be dandy .

  • @CNCTEMATIC
    @CNCTEMATIC 10 месяцев назад +1

    Yay I love gadget gadget gadget, eh? You said something interesting about passive tone stacks in Fender blackface amps--you said to get rid of the attenuating affect, "turn all the knobs to 12" -- did you mean turn them all the way up? or turn them up halfway (to 12 o'clock?)
    PS, I tried the Butter Machine pedal, it had WAY too much gain for me! It is fully distorted with the gain pot hardly cracked open, it seemed to me. But I get why you like it; its not far from fuzz

    • @joeylandrethmusic
      @joeylandrethmusic 10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, not my most clear moment! I meant that I have been enjoying turning up the eq knobs all the way up which essentially is running the power amp wide open with no attenuation of the treble or bass bands. Then a separate thought is I often will start exploring an unknown amp when the knobs are at 12:00. Usually in a backline situation

    sorry… I need to ask for clarification. You mention starting with the EQs at 12o’clock. For a Fender-style amp I’m assuming you mean 5-6? For the chickenhead knobs that would mean noon.
    At one point you were describing setting the EQs to full on 12 o’clock and the “tone lift.” In that instance you mean “wide open” EQs, right? i.e no attenuation at all. I assume this is not your starting point.
