    It sucks because Sensei clearly won. Like it's not even a question IF, he LITERALLY won based on the basic rules of boxing. It was impossible for Kenny to win, even if you were being charitable. While it's not Kenny's fault, it's really hard to reconcile with a loss like this.

    Thing is Kenny had his success with the jab and was moving forward with it but Sensei wasn’t uncomfortable with it and was able to counter it a good number of times. Conventional wisdom says that to box a taller guy you have to move forward close to him and rip while the taller guy just has to pump out the jab and keep the smaller guy away. But Sensei didn’t do that. Kenny did pump out just the jab but it wasn’t too effective. Sensei did find his pace on the outside and was able defend and counter the jab and get good hits in. I think 2 was to Kenny and 4 was controversial. Sensei def got 1 and 3 (prolly 4 too). I think at the end of the day, Sensei didn’t get the decision because he didn’t box a taller guy the way you usually/conventionally do. Watching it he didn’t box the taller guy conventionally, but the way Sensei did box him technically WORKED WELL according to the rules and how it should be scored and imo he should have got the nod.

      Still not enough. Technically, if it was professional scoring regardless of all of that, Sensi would have won. They would take all into consideration and see that Sensi was the one actually scoring.

    • @miralabualjadail4206
      @miralabualjadail4206 9 месяцев назад

      I agree with that “conventionally” ie. The judges based it on how it “looked” rather than who actually won. Sensi. Hence, why originally my comment on the fight was the judges scored this based on how an inexperienced person would judge a fight or how the kids saw it. Or they were bribed/swayed by crowd home town etc.. all of those were factors. But still it shouldn’t be the case, because they are still professional judges at the end of the day, so thats disappointing. So essentially Wade is right. This is pro vs amateur scoring.

    For me, a majority draw was a clearer scorecard than Kenny winning. I could see Sensei winning, I could potentially see a majority draw but Kenny winning 3-1 seems a bit difficult.

    • @Steven-jd3ey
      @Steven-jd3ey Год назад +1

      A draw is generous to Kenny but could be acceptable. The fact that you have to score R1 not a 10-8 makes that very hard to swallow though. If that one delusional judge hadn't scored R1 a 10-10 it would have been a draw.

    • @25Dzone
      @25Dzone Год назад +1

      @@Steven-jd3ey That's supposedly not true though - according to Wade & a few others, a standing 8-count isn't a guaranteed 10-8. It is typically a 10-8 but not a guaranteed one. Not sure why but maybe it's something to do with them being aware that the referees are gonna jump in quite early?

    • @Steven-jd3ey
      @Steven-jd3ey Год назад +1

      @@25Dzone It is not a guaranteed 10-8. Most commissions have a point deduction for a standing 8 or knockdown. The PBA doesn't specify a point deduction in their rules (found on their website), but they strangely state this: " a 10-9 round, indicates one fighter was more effective than
      the other or dominated the round WITHOUT a knockdown or
      standing 8 count." and this "10-8 round indicates one fighter was in constant control and
      clearly out fought his opponent as far as technique within
      the ring "AND" scored a standing 8 count or a knockdown
      on his/her opponent". Under these rules, round 1 has to be a 10-8 for Sensei. While their vague description makes it hard (they don't specify what happens when a fighter is more effective and gets a standing 8), the round was impossible to be a 10-9 since they state the round has to be without a knockdown or a standing 8 count to get a 10-9 score.

    Before I watch the pod I wanna comment a matchup that I think deserves some consideration. Kenny vs Wasabi. A fight between them would off set up for so many great fights. If Kenny wins (as he should) he finally can get that convincing dub and put himself in that level he deserves to be. It would also set its self up for a Deji Wasabi rematch. We see if the new deji can rewrite history. If wasabi wins we’re talking about a redo of the Wasabi KSI fight. Imo that’d be a great fight for the January card.

      What such hate on Kenny... You blame Kenny for no reason here. Kenny is not a boxing judge. So leave him alone. Put some respect on his name and even you if you were at his place, you wouldn't have courage to face Sensei so don't speak like that

      @@monserviceincontournable2267 lol I can tell you’re like 12. I never really hated on him I stated a fact that the fight was robbery. I like Kenny I really do. @@mocropapi obviously no one put on the performance of a lifetime but anyone with 2 eyes can see that Sensi threw more, landed more, defended more, as well as initiated any and all of the major exchanges and dealt the only damage in the fight. Kenny literally planted his foot in the center of the ring and pawed that jab out. Ring generalship does not supercede the one-sided offensive activity that Sensi consistently shows in Round 1, 3, and 4. I may not know much about boxing but any one with half a brain can see that Sensi won.

    • @mocropapi
      @mocropapi Год назад

      @@chelseawebb8461 well first off. He didn’t threw more. He was always on the back foot. He had no ring control (even tho i know what he was going for). He had two big moments and those were the only time he arguably won a round. Kenny won rnd 2 and 4 easily. While he won rnd 1 and 3 but he didn’t even won it clean bcs he didn’t do anything after the big moments that let to him winning those rounds. I believe it was a draw and I watched the fight 4 times now with rewinding moments etc. And I dont think kenny winning is a robbery especially bcs i think it was a draw. Only bullshit decision was the 10-10 round in round 1. Should have been a 10-9 with the rules giving.

    I too was yelling for him to take the center cuz I knew thats how they score it. Especially, since I knew Sensi wasn’t actually being pressured by Kenny. And Sensi actually proved it by going in the 3rd like he said. Kenny was indeed in the middle but he wasn’t doing anything and was actually scared of Sensi damage cuz Sensi was technically the one landing and winning. Kenny knew this. I didn’t know why Sensi didn’t take center, but hearing his thoughts now makes sense. But when it comes to technicality Faze definitely won this. Kenny literally didn’t do anything apart from stand in the middle and not do a thing.
