Thank you so much for featuring me Jonny. I'm always happy to clarify and talk about the ride. So thanks for that opportunity. And thank you all for the nice comments already! It's honestly really humbling and motivates me to create more. Cheers
I am in awe. This didn't even look or sound like a coaster game. The audio was amazing and the visuals were stunning considering the limited tools available. Insane work!
It really encourages you to be creative in whatever way you see fit! I've been building and perfecting coasters ever since I was really young and I love that this game has a great system for building just about anything you can imagine.
That's why Planet Coaster can help people with creativity make big money without going to universities and applying for a professional job. They have unlimited time to design the ride and when completed, just submit to social media platforms for people to enjoy and gain income from large viewership. Theme park companies might be interested in their creations and pay the creator when the company is interested in building the physical version of the ride.
Legitimately creepy. Definitely didn't expect to actually be creeped out by a planet coaster custom ride! I would love to see more actually scary rides!
Holy shit... Some of the parts of the ride ACTUALLY scared me. This is outstanding. Someone putting this much work into a scary ride... Man. Its amazing. I love this!
In case anyone is interested, the one painting he recreated is from a Polish painter named zdzisław beksiński. He is my favorite artist. He had a very hard life and had seen most of his family murdered. His painting have no names, just a number. The painting are from his nightmares that he has but with no explanation, so it allows you as the viewer to try to understand the depths of his soul through your interpretation. If anyone reads this I highly recommend going to check a few of his works.
I honestly jumped a bit during the ride. The fact you can tell the difference between the spirit and the official ride was cool, but then even the official part was scary enough to cause me to jolt a few times.
I love the sudden inclusion of thrill ride elements! It would be cool to see something like that in real life. I know the pre-ride warning signs and the car safety set-up would give away the twist (as they would have to for safety purposes), but it would still be a really unique ride experience.
Damn Pixelated!! Your best work I would say. Holy crap! The part where you see the picture, and then go into it, mindblowing! Totally worth the 7 months of waiting. Everything is so organized, and the ambience and triggerwork. My god. Legend!
I love this in-depth dive into how each of the effects were done. It's such a simple thing, but that little *pop* (I think it's done with a brief burst of black flame) is an incredibly cool effect, probably my favorite of the lot. (Or was it a black plasma burst?) The doors with the stars behind them... ugh, I figured that was how you did that, but sooooo many dooooors! You have the patience of a deity, Pixelated. And the silhouette with the fireworks behind it, really cool idea.
Had to go back and find it just to make sure I didn't imagine it! Just after 3:40 in this video, in front of the fireplace. Like a little atmospheric disturbance.
That was probably one of the best horror themed dark rides I’ve seen on this game. Most people time their jump scares far too close together and it makes it so there’s really nothing to be scared of. But the creator of this ride had a beautiful blend of tension, buildup and horror that made this ride a work of art! I loved it
This is a cool coaster, and most assuredly a scary one! It reminds me a lot of Revenge of the Mummy at the Universal Studios parks, but not mummy-themed.
I almost can't believe this was done in Planet Coaster! I haven't bought it yet, but every time I see something like this it makes me want to buy it. The capabilities of this game just blow me away!
I had strange dreams as a kid of being on a roller coaster that was entirely inside of a darkened house. This sim was eerily similar and gave me many flashbacks! This is an absolutely brilliant piece of work. My compliments.
Fucking hell! As a horror movie fan AND coaster enthusiast, this is a sight to be seen! Best dark ride on Planet Coaster, no doubt, and if it took you 7 months, then you did something awesome!
This is genuinely a masterpiece. I thought I was proud of my The Crypt dark ride, so I can only imagine the amount of pride this rewards. It’s on the Froniter Workshop if you’d like to see it.
ONE THEME PARK IN THE WORLD MUST HAVE THIS ONE! (OR EVERY THEME PARK)!! i'll pay for that! It was excited, scary, and so much to see! We need it in the world!
Wow this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in my life. Amazing job dude, so much fun to watch you break down all the little details, enjoyed every second of it!
This is extraordinary. I’ve never seen such detail and hard work be put into anything quite like this. This was trippy, VERY spooky, and completely mindblowing. I have no idea how you did most of the stuff in this. That collapsing door effect made me go cross-eyed and the scary things you did with this was so interesting. To the creator, what a fabulous job!
This ride honestly SCARED ME!!! I love the Alien right, its sense of flying through space (among MANY other things) was fantastic. But this...well, I WAS SCARED! LOL!!!! Kudos on an outstanding accomplishment!!!
i love how he combined the 9th dimension entering with the room cross at high speed with the cross track jumpscare that really caught me off guard Edit: I might be wrong sorry for being stupid XD
Truly a masterpiece of spooky and complicated art. Not scary, unless it was ridden in VR, but still awesome nonetheless. The technical achievements done in it are amazing. The only thing that needs a change is the brightness on that one painting you and Jonny talked about. I couldn't even tell what the details were for it, so trying to compare the art to the huge built set behind it was impossible. Chant did a perfect voice for the ride. Reminded me a lot of the voice actress that did the dialog in the great "Nightmare House 2" MOD for Half-Life 2.
i wouldnt call it scary, but it was genius utilization of horror techniques. threatening a jumpscare and building a reputation of unpredictability throughout the ride. i'd say it's half spooky and half trippy. all i know is that i love it. the most genius part is where he throws you off by plummeting down when you thought the track was going out because of the lighting
Wow, this was inspiring - some of the effects I couldn't even make out how they were done. One of the few creepy dark rides that was actually creepy. Congrats from me!
Complete.Sensory.Overload -- Once again, Pixelated has figured out how to push the game to its outer limits. This one had me sitting on the edge of my seat, leaning forward in anticipation of the next turn, drop, and gotcha moment -- and even with that anticipation, they all still managed to catch me off guard. IMO, Pixelated is by far, the most creative mind in this game - hands down!
OMG! The atmosphere and the buildings/rooms and the pictures are amazing! And how many triggered events u said there are?! That's just mind-blowing! Loved the black smoke effect going from one picture to another in that twisting movement. (btw, i did understood that picture recreation with all the skeletons when u are pulled inside the frame.) Pixelated, thx for showing your creations and especially for explaining how u do them.
Truly horror ride! This ride is full of thunder and lightning which will trigger frights among Eidolon's riders. More scary is the sudden drops in the tracks apart from multiple inversions!
That. Is. Amazing. I dont overuse that word either. SO many coordinated media pieces. SUCH good build up and presentation. I hope he won an award for that.
I have been reluctant to watch some of the videos this “old” (3 years according to the initial time stamp, without looking at the actual date). Just because people - the entire community - has learned SO much since then. This is my first video, from that beginning era. I accidentally didn’t pay attention to the “3 years ago”, when I DID click on it. But, decided to go through with it, anyway…mostly bc I saw it was created by Pixelated. I’m glad I did. Even if things have come a long way ever since…? It doesn’t mean these are disappointing, & even pretty neat to see how the game & what people do has progressed & evolved. Seeing its roots, if you will. Anyway…just had to share that….*3* YEARS, after the fact. Lol!
Before witnessing this ultra-masterpiece, my favorite "dark coaster" was Dread (my apologies to THAT creator...oh, WAIT...LOL). This is jawdropping throughout. If I had to pick a favorite bit, it was when the coaster paused in front of what looked like a Bosch painting of hell...because it really did look like a Bosch painting! (7:14). As for Chant, I've always thought that she has a voice tailor made for late night radio, and should be doing paid voiceover work!
This is the most amazing and fantastical dark ride creation I have ever seen in Planet Coaster. Top marks plus to Pixelated for creating this wonderful attraction.
Holy shit! This is hands down the best thing I've ever seen! Absolutely amazing! I also got the Black Mirror VR episode vibes from the start, but it doesn't seem like you've based it on that? Either way best thing ever man!
woah :O this is inedible Pixelated, nailed it. The triggered events, sounds jump scares are amazing & the way you play with the peeps' minds is very terrifying indeed! The effects were outstanding. Can't praise it enough
Come on Jonny, you didn't realise the painting came to life haha? That part blew me away ... I mean, my jaw was already floor-bound, but that scene was "Cirrus.exe has stopped working."
If this is to be built in real life, it's a must for riders to wear double layer seat belts and hold handrail at all times during the ride. This is to ensure they are properly restrained. They are strictly not allowed to let go the handrail, even a second. This is because of the sudden drop, inversions and 360° twists in the trajectory. Safety is very important otherwise deadly accidents will occur. Warning messages including who should refrain from this ride must be placed at intervals at the waiting (queue) walkway.
I would have given them open train seats with a log ride type bench, said "for ages as low as 5", and then finally, I'd say: "intermediate slow paced ride---seizure warning." and then cued that bad boy up.
that was amazing, i had no idea something like this was even possible to do, i wish i could actually ride this beast of a ride, this would be so much fun to actually ride
Thank you so much for featuring me Jonny. I'm always happy to clarify and talk about the ride. So thanks for that opportunity. And thank you all for the nice comments already! It's honestly really humbling and motivates me to create more. Cheers
You're the best!
Pixelated this is the best creation I have ever seen
I love all your works, and this one is the best dark ride I've ever seen! Amazing man!
If anyone thinks this ride isn’t the best then they need some milk
Good job Pixelated you should be proud of yourself
That was INSANE. It went to your typical Horror ride to WTF. This had the best effects I have ever seen. Outstanding job Pixelated.
Dude needs to work for Universal Studios.
Universal studios doesn't deserve this dude. Dude needs to start his own theme park company
@@HaohmaruHL he needs to work for the efteling in the netherlands best themepark in the world

It really encourages you to be creative in whatever way you see fit! I've been building and perfecting coasters ever since I was really young and I love that this game has a great system for building just about anything you can imagine.
It didn’t even feel like planet coaster but it’s own game

Holy shit... Some of the parts of the ride ACTUALLY scared me. This is outstanding. Someone putting this much work into a scary ride... Man. Its amazing. I love this!
In real life this would be a heart attack coaster!!! So many people would die on that ride! But it's so so awesome
ColdplayFan360 RollerCoasterFreak absolutely worth it!
IRL this would have to be a VR Dark Ride (or ideally, augmented reality), which would make some purists absolutely despise it.
No one would die on this ride, it looks beautiful 😮

Extraordinary Work

This guy's talents should be harnessed in some theme park or movie production somewhere.
And planet coaster gets taken to the next level again. Most immersive ride I've seen in the game. Great voice acting!

Universal Studios Hollywood should do a universal monsters dark ride something like this
I once had my ride stop in a haunted house, the lights didnt go on and it was creepy as hell. Thank god it was only for like 20 seconds
I was waiting for such a piece of art for years... I can now die in peace...
On this episode of Pixelated show me why I shouldn't bother and just give up.

Right, that's the rubble/rock impact effect from the adventure dlc. Not quite sure what the exact name is.
