When it comes to video games there are multiple skills like mechanical skill (speed in which you input actions), game sense (situational awareness of the best possible play you can make at that moment + predictions, and game theory (you understand what is good in the game and why it's good vice versa with why something is trash). So yes, you can quite literally have Challenger level game theory but not be Challenger because you don't have the mechanics or macro.
That brings back memories. I used to take critical damage runes and stack gp/5 items on gangplank. Back then the games lasted longer and it was guaranteed to steamroll after the 30 minute mark. Crit dmg marks and quints, flat armor seals and flat cdr glyphs for the lane to farm and survive.

The most annoying thing is that every build that is unique is called a Korean build when a lot of those aren't Korean. There are so many genius ideas you can get from new players or just casual players that it isn't even funny. This is also good to do in real life, do not ignore people's ideas even if you obviously know more than them, you can then sort their ideas out after you've thought about them.

That's what most of these builds are, players who dedicate themselves to one specific setup and learn it intimately. Hell, look at Trick2g's Udyr, he's pretty much the prime example of this: dude's way too emotionally invested in the game and makes bad calls because of it, ints, flames, but he knows his champ inside and out and has good game sense. Game quality doesn't really change from bronze to mid diamond. Getting high diamond is just a matter of spending enough time to have maybe one good trait out of mechanical skill, champ familiarity, and game sense. That's why you see so many onetricks in high elo, and why even pros have fairly small champ pools: not playing many champs effectively gives you a free advantage just by virtue of knowing your limits better than your lane opponent.
Great video! Quality information, and even more quality presentation. HappyChimeNoise is to quality content as Yasukeh is to Chasing down carries and tilting junglers.
