Im a little older than u. This song was played so much during my teens that I actually overlooked it. Being a staunch 90s hiphop head, commercial songs were overlooked. Id rather listen to a give me the loot or friend of mine etc during those days...
It was only last week I actually listened to it. Like _really_ listened to it and appreciated the effortless rhymes, flow, cadence, confidence, amazing background vocals and harmony, production and cameos in the video.
Took me 29 years to realise how much of a timeless classic this song is.

They probably sound good compared to the trash that comes out today, but nobody that dropped in the 2010s or after never gonna compare to late 80s - 2005 its impossible.. Even the guys my age (Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Drake) who dropped in the late 2000s, they are good, but watered down compared to the legends before them..
