Vittoria Colonna To be fair most people would struggle to be professional if they agreed to do a film then right before filming were told to change major parts of the script, especially three action sequences, I hear the film he cut was boring hence the reshoots, but fox stopped him filming the action sequences that would have possibly made it interesting. His version may have angered FF fans, but it would have probably at least made sense in its own continuity, or felt like one movie.
Fox, just give the rights back to Marvel. Look at the reception of Marvel's own Spiderman has gotten. It's pretty freaking great. Just imagine if Marvel could make their own Fantastic 4 movie, and include it in the MCU after Infinity War.
The embargo on the reviews for this film will not be lifted until the day before release. That means that Fox doesn't want anybody to know about its quality until there's only one for people to hear about it. In the industry, that just doesn't happen. There has been nothing but trouble for this movie. It was only made for keeping the rights with no regard to the comics or the fans. If this movie is good, then I will gladly be wrong; I won't lose anything if I am. But there hasn't been anything that would make me think otherwise.
yanndick Most of these people don't know the issues with Alien 3 and that trainwreck, they are pointing their fingers at Trank and blaming him completely while ignoring the fact that Fox and Simon Kinberg were mostly responsible.
redyulan86 Right, but Trank already showed his skills with THE KILL POINT on TV and CHRONICLE. He just needs to find or write another smaller project and show again the good work he can do without silly executives messing with him. Fincher did it with SEVEN after ALIEN 3. We all know what followed...
Its all the studio. It was a lot for Trank to try and be creative while adhering to the Marvel superhero formula that Fox wanted. I'd prefer to see Trank's version of FF.
redyulan86 I'd like to see it too. But I highly doubt FOX will allow his true version to be release some day... Especially if Trank wasn't allowed to shot all the footage he needed.
Midnight's Edge Hi first off great video, really blew the lid off this movie. It's got to be one of the most legendarily troubled productions of recent times. And secondly? Could you name the music track that starts playing at around 2.06 ? Many thanks and subscribed!
I can't believe they ruined the Fantastic Four. I love the Fantastic Four from the comics, i've always wanted a really good movie based on the team. I just want a really good Fantastic Four movie.
+91MoonKnight I'm right there with ya! It's weird how some of the best comics characters are the hardest to adapt to screen. I mean, it's EASY to enjoy an FF comic. Most of them are pretty good! I could probably name ten story arcs that would make decent films. I like the spin that the FF are not just a team, but a family. I like how unusually close they are to their greatest enemy, Dr. Doom. Doom can tell Reed to his face that he hates him and wants him dead, but like 25% of the time, Doom is practically a member of the family (Valeria even jokingly calls him "Uncle Doom"). He is a fascinating character who never needed to be "tweaked" for film (although Julian MacMahon _was fun,_ he simply _wasn't_ an authentic Victor von Doom!) Oh, and the earlier films has Kerry Washington as Alicia Masters, the beautiful blind scluptress who falls in love with Ben. They could have left her out of the story, but god bless 'em for putting her in, because she crushed it! I also liked the alt-universe _Ultimate Fantastic Four_ comics. (before _Ultimatum,_ which I haven't read, but it seems screwy). I liked the UFF's origins better, I liked Annihilus (Nihil) better, I LOVED Ultimate Galactus and Ultimate Silver Surfer. I liked the more radical changes (Reed doesn't have normal internal organs anymore, and doesn't need to eat. Johnny "sheds" his fireproof skin cells and grows new ones, etc.) Oh, and Ben Grimm/the Thing DEFINITELY has private parts; he can't walk around naked. (Plus, the UFF comics gave us the Marvel Zombies!) So I like two different versions of them in comics. I didn't think the Gruffudd/Alba/Chikis/Evans movies were _anywhere near_ being truly "bad" films -- they just had a few flaws. The characters and their relationships to each other was mostly spot-on. And, as much as I love Evans as Captain America, he was way better as Johnny Storm. If this reboot had been more of a straight adaptation of the first two volumes of UFF, I'd have been happy to watch it in theaters, even if they followed the comic scene by scene. I don't want to dwell on how bad the reboot is -- it's pretty awful! But I just don't get what's so hard about adapting it to film. If the MCU's success teaches us anything, it's _USE the SOURCE MATERIAL!_ The first two volumes of the UFF definitely makes for a satisfying story. Victor does get physically transformed, but at least he still comes out looking like Dr. Doom, not the weird and pathetic thing from FANT4STICK.
+bigevilworldwide1 Never seen it but yet i agree, They also did this to Babylon AD, They made bret ratner remove a lot of great scenes from X3 all of which are on disc, as features, they recut daredevil and reshot a lot of Several other movies. they also wouldn't let Stefan fangmeir Make the movie Eragon from the whole book because they wanted it to be short. New line did this to the golden compass too!
+rencrow You do know it wasn't even from that era, right? And that they were the first team to have a family like dynamic? In fact, I'd argue they did it better than anyone else and that the runs under Jack & Stan, Mark Waid, Michael Stracinsky and Dwayne Duffy were some of the best (In fact, out of all the Civil War tittles, Stracinsky's F4 were some of the best). There's also of course the fact that a big part of the Marvel mythos was first stablished by them (the Skrulls and the Kree, Dr. Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer, the Inhumans, Black Panther and Wakanda, just to name a few), that they revived the popularity of characters who had been on the decline ever since the Golden Age ended (Namor being the most famous) and that the overal tone of their stories is a mixture of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy (the movies) so them in the MCU is actually one of the easier things to do.
+Commander_Ninja Oh, did someone get their ninja panties in a bunch? Does white-knighting for the honor of their like/dislike ratio get you wet? Do you get played by trolls every day or am I just that special?
dMb And I'm surprised you can't come up with an original format for an insult, so you just aped off mine. Which is flattering but come on dude, get your own material.
All of the actors in this garbage are talented and i've seen them great in other projects. They were just given a very shitty material to work with that made their performance look bad
I liked the two Chris Even's , Jessica Alba lead movies . If they intend to us them in the future just skip the Origin story and let their individual powers explain it to the audience ...
Factual lol why because you watched it and it sounds like that , have you actually looked into the videos some that are outdated now and are wrong so at the time they were guessing using reddit and shit but now we see they are far from factual unless that is using any info and pretending its correct .
Get Michael Thau (Editor in Hollywood), to slap together a Josh Trank Cut and a Zach Snyder cut of these BOMBS and maybe the studios can still make up their money with minimal output.
Christopher Mettetal Pretty poorly researched actually when you know that the 4chan post was accompanied by so-called proof which was fake and photoshopped. This 'summary' is incredibly biased against Trank.
one of the sad things about the movie rights war is that the R-rated Deadpool would have never been made because of Disney, so while Fox cant seem to do F4 right they are the only ones right now that would be able to do Deadpool right.
Wait... is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?? That Rian Johnson's excuse for wanting to subvert expectations also has to do with having man boobs in his youth? Hmmm
The background music on this was a little too loud, but was otherwise a fantastic (I know, sorry) video! Very informative and thorough. Thank you for filling me in!
Yup, it is all about retaining rights no matter what. Though Marvel and DC are no stranger to this themselves, as they too go to great lengths to deny original creators their property (making sure Watchmen never reverts back to Alan Moore), royalties (Bill Mantlo who created Guardian of the Galaxies), or even credit.
I appreciate the informative style of this video, and the narrator has a perfectly good speaking voice. My only criticism is the background music. It's mixed a bit too loud, and tonally interferes with the narrator's voice. Otherwise, it's very cool. We don't need constant music in the background to keep us amused.
The video itself is very informative and well-edited, but the songs on the soundtrack are obtrusive and mixed too loud. Next time, use only instrumentals.
My honest opinion about all of this is that this movie will suck. Basically they made a syfy movie and call it "Fantastic Four". This movie has nothing to do with the comics. And is a real shame that FOX prefer to make a shit movie instead of give the rights back to Marvel.
yuankun99 "And is a real shame that FOX prefer to make a shit movie instead of give the rights back to Marvel." i mean sure if you buy a car fair and square but theres a bunch of people telling you to just hand it over to the other more capable driver, why should you? i hate marvel fanboys with marvels dick so up their asses tat they dont think straight. i mean yeah sure marvel is more capable of delivering a good movie than fox is but at the same time marvel is way to crowded now and would probably shelve the movie.
Juan Alejos While we don't know for certain when Marvel would have brought the Fantastic Four themselves on the big screen, this goes beyond just the core four. It is about all the other characters that are locked up with the Fantastic Four, that Marvel already would have used if they had access to them, such as Doom, the Silver Surfer, Annihilus, Kang and others, some of which we know for a fact Marvel would have used already if they could. Furthermore, most are willing to wait a few more years for a real canon Fantatsic movie set within the MCU than this FF in name only that is seemingly ashamed of being the FF.
the mcu would have looked very different if they had the fantastic 4. im not debating that. im just saying that Fox in no way has the obligation to give the rights back to marvel. The FF are different than spiderman. spiderman can be contained to NY in highscool for a few movies while the FF have bigger stories. its harder to intergrate them to the mcu. Marvel would probably wont change their lineup for them and would shelve them longer than they did spiderman.
Juan Alejos Have to disagree with you there. The Fantastic Four are if anything even easier to integrate into the MCU than Spider-man is, as the Avengers and Avengers related characters often and frequently interact with and call on the services of the FF - most notably everyone and their mother calls on the intellect of Reed Richards, which exceeds that of both Stark and Banner. Even without solo-movies, the FF and FF related characters could, would and by rights should have a major presence in the MCU. By contrast, any connection between the FF and X-Men is rare, forced and unnatural. While Fox has no formal obligation to return the FF, they have already proven that they can't do them right, the movie isn't a real priority and that they are clinging onto them seemingly out of spite, denying audiences worldwide a richer MCU in the process. In so doing, they forfeit any moral right they might ever have had to the characters.
Great video, really like your dissection. Only thing is playing the eerie horror movie music underneath really sets my anxiety on edge, so I had trouble watching part of it. Just some food for thought.
Wow. Just wow. I was thinking of giving Josh Trank a pass and blame the studio, but Trank is just as, if not more guilty for the movie to happen. I might not watch Chronicle because of this awful behavior. Here's hoping Fox gets a goddamn brain and do something good with the Fantastic 4. Or they could do the honorable thing can give the rights back to Marvel Studios. Just give the F4 a good film.
Hopefully this all leads to Marvel Studios getting the Fantastic Four movie rights back in exchange for Fox being allowed to make their X-Men TV show. It's a win-win situation for everyone.
Nexo213 Exactly what will happen. Fox is all about the money, and this will follow what they did the Warners/ DC. They were holding Batman '66 hostage practically from the beginning. But suddenly its released and coincidentally at that exact moment, Gotham is announced. We already know the X-Men TV series is being discussed, so if they really want it to go cleanly, and maybe get supported for a change, as opposed to Marvel\ Disney going medieval on the comic properties to give them no support (Killing Logan as we know him and cancelling the FF comic anyone), then FF will suddenly end up back at Marvel and X-Men the series will be announced. (And odds are money will get exchanged too)
I will say this. You did your research. This was an enjoyable video and clearly outlined the problems of the movie, especially now that it is out in theaters. Consider myself a new subscriber.
It was around 10:53 when I realized why chills went up my spine. It was Josh Trank's sinister smile with that really creepy music. I had to rewind because I was just staring at it, thinking of spooky stuff.
I think this is some pretty good reporting, very informative. I wonder what will become of Trank's career now that the movie is actually out and getting such negative reviews/low turn out. In any case, two thumbs up on the video. Was a nice watch.
And now the rights are back at Marvel, as Disney bought a stake in Fox and thus, the masters to all their films. Also, when Simon said "The Fantastic Four live in a world without mutants; the X men live in a world without the Fantastic Four," that's not entirely true, according to canon. Marvel are planning on putting both groups in the MCU (the same universe as everyone else) for phase 4.
+NavySharkz People don't dismiss it. But there's a major difference between Blade and Spider-Man. One is a bit edgier and darker, so that can be taken seriously at face value. Spider-Man proved that the goofy and colorful comic stuff could be box office gold
Henry Picklevitz The Exorcist prequel and Alien 3 too. Could even include the Dune movie or the Donner Superman films. Hollywood is always full of drama.
I am African American. And to be honest I was extremely disappointed, better yet outraged when I saw that Johnny Storm was going to be black. The minute I saw that I knew the movie and story was gonna be a complete disaster. I had no expectations towards seeing it. Plus I thought the trailer wasn't good at all, I thought it was boring. It's not even about being racist. I'm a huge marvel fan and I liked it better when Johnny storm was white. Even if Johnny storm was white this movie would've still been complete shit. None of the cast members aren't even fit for these characters. The casting was poor to me. I think they should've just made a fantastic four 3 after rise of the silver surfer. That would've been better
Am I the only one who was a fan of the original two movies? I hate when Hollywood do these remakes of good franchises. It does nothing but tarnish the name and the story behind it.
Sweet Lord, If he cant handle the pressure from fans of the Fantastic Four, can u imagine him on a StarWars Film?.....whether he was fired or left the StarWars Anthology on his own accord, thank GOD. If i was tasked to direct a big-budget film, it would be a fkin disaster, see? im an amateur. We have much in common xd.
***** Will be interesting to see how that rating moves as more US reviews come in. Might move up some, but pretty sure it will stay deep within rotten territory.
Midnight's Edge I was shocked too, but you had all the backup. No use in denying anything. Thanks for making the video, I just subscribed and I'll look into the podcast!
Interesting video right up to about 7 minutes in when, for reasons I cannot fathom, the maker of this video decided to have a rapper compete with the narrator. I gave up watching.
+softladification That was an expirement, that we won't do again. The reasoning behind was that the song "Because I was high" by Afroman would be fun, as it kind of mirrors what happened with Trank here. Do cjeck out ot the rest video though, there is another 20 minutes left after the song, and that's the good stuff.
Thanks for the reply. Went back and viewed it and there's more of the same narrator Vs soundtrack later on but as you've stated elsewhere the Part 2 video sorts this issue out and is a big improvement.
+Midnight's Edge Yeah, I had the same problem, except I didn't stop watching. In my case, I LIKE "Because I Got High", so it was distracting to try listening to the narrator while a song I like -- a rap song, which is all about its lyrics -- was playing simultaneously. I just posted a comment about this already, so sorry for the repetition. I'm gonna watch the rest of this series. It's good commentary/reporting, and I'm still stunned that such a bad movie was made with such a good premise!
Ultimate FF not popular with fans?! Not sure who you've been talking to but myself and every FF fan I know LOVES Ultimate FF. Personally it is my favourite FF book ever (up to volume 7).
Great video! Whether all those alleged problems resulted in a terrible movie is the ultimate question though...I still got hope due to the charming cast but man those rumors suggest a massive trainwreck :/
oscarnjboy Thanks, and welcome! You might be interested to know that we are right now working on the follow-up to this video, detailing everything that happened in the days before, during and after release.
r2c123 We will do plenty more! Just give us time, as that is one thing making these mini-documentaries consume a lot of - but check out the ones we've already done on Conan in the meantime!
Great video. I have watched the circus of this movie's production but it was getting hard for me to track everything. Thanks for putting everything together and going super in-depth on the production. The sooner this piece of shit bombs, the sooner Marvel can get Doom/SS/Galactus/etc. back.
SurgingChaos19 Thanks, that was what we were going for - deciphering this mess of a production, so everyone can see what has gone down, and why things are the way they are between Fox and Marvel.
Technically, there was ALREADY a crossover between the FF and X-Men, as "Francklin Richard" 's name was clearly visible in Styker's files, when Mystic was haking them, in X2
A very very interesting watch, the only thing that has never added up to me though is the supposed bad blood between Max Landis and Trank, as far as I'm aware the script Max turned in for Chronicle was adapted pretty much page for page which he always seemed grateful for in interviews. I could be wrong, it just seems like I'm missing a piece of this puzzle.
The story behind Fan4stic was much more interesting than the actual film itself.

I feel like a documentry about the movies production eould make more than the real film

I love when you get into the backroom politics of movie making. Sometimes the story of why something was a flop is better than the flop itself.
Currently 12% on Rotten Tomatoes.
When are people going to learn that Fox doesn't give a damn about the characters?
Nix Nightbird Adam Sandler's latest movie has better reviews. Ouch.

Goodbye Josh Trank, your career is finished.
tnargtnarud Maybe not. Think about what happened with David Fincher during ALIEN 3 production (Another FOX movie by the way...) and who he is now.
yanndick Most of these people don't know the issues with Alien 3 and that trainwreck, they are pointing their fingers at Trank and blaming him completely while ignoring the fact that Fox and Simon Kinberg were mostly responsible.
redyulan86 Right, but Trank already showed his skills with THE KILL POINT on TV and CHRONICLE.
I lol'd at the use of Afroman's "Because I Got High".
Great work, guys.
Thanks! Glad you liked it! We love this story (obviously).
Midnight's Edge Hi first off great video, really blew the lid off this movie. It's got to be one of the most legendarily troubled productions of recent times.
And secondly? Could you name the music track that starts playing at around 2.06 ? Many thanks and subscribed!
ben .baxter sounds like the theme from Oblivion, by M83
I can't believe they ruined the Fantastic Four. I love the Fantastic Four from the comics, i've always wanted a really good movie based on the team.
I just want a really good Fantastic Four movie.
+91MoonKnight So say we all.
(Plus, the UFF comics gave us the Marvel Zombies!)
So I like two different versions of them in comics.
They did, as honest trailer said "The incredibles".
Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer, the Inhumans, Black Panther and Wakanda, just to name a few), that they revived the popularity of characters who had been on the decline ever since the Golden Age ended (Namor being the most famous) and that the overal tone of their stories is a mixture of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy (the movies) so them in the MCU is actually one of the easier things to do.
the roger corman fantastic four movie is the best one of all of them...
And that was a movie not intended for release. How do big budget, theatrically released films end up worse than a film that was never even released.
Nah the incredibles is
"Reed...WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?! WHAT HAVE YOU DOOOOOOOOOONE?!!!!!"
Disliked just because "because I got high" playing in the background.
Background music is fine, but turn the volume down.
+Commander_Ninja Oh, did someone get their ninja panties in a bunch? Does white-knighting for the honor of their like/dislike ratio get you wet? Do you get played by trolls every day or am I just that special?
+Commander_Ninja And I'm surprised you know words as big as "surprised."
dMb And I'm surprised you can't come up with an original format for an insult, so you just aped off mine. Which is flattering but come on dude, get your own material.
dMb You're still replying?
You haven't left yet?
What did we learn: Both Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan are actually good actors
They have to play ball to work. No matter how shitty the script.
Midnight's edge is the best channel I've come across in a while. It's factual, in depth and very soothing and interesting.
Factual lol why because you watched it and it sounds like that , have you actually looked into the videos some that are outdated now and are wrong so at the time they were guessing using reddit and shit but now we see they are far from factual unless that is using any info and pretending its correct .
HellBringer Tell us why they're wrong and give us evidence.
Get Michael Thau (Editor in Hollywood), to slap together a Josh Trank Cut and a Zach Snyder cut of these BOMBS and maybe the studios can still make up their money with minimal output.
Very well researched video. Good job, never would have thought the backstory of this franchise was this dark.
Nicely done! I didn't realize how crazy things really were behind the scenes.
MattHawes Thanks - and things really are crazy, so much so that Circus Trank seems an apt description of the production process;p
Wait... is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking??
Because I got High? Got to love the background music! :D
The video itself is very informative and well-edited, but the songs on the soundtrack are obtrusive and mixed too loud. Next time, use only instrumentals.
+DoctorPretorious616
Lesson already learned, lower volumed instrumental music only on all videos made after this;p
+Midnight's Edge well done guys, I found it more entertaining then most TV shows. 👍🏼
WAKE ME UP
CAN'T WAKE UP
LOL. I was wondering when somebody would notice this!
Oddly enough with the bad reviews this makes me want to watch the movie even more.
Paul Allen Just download it don't give fox your money.
Paul Allen Just wait for a good HD rip to pop up on torrent sites.
Paul Allen putlocker.is/watch-fantastic-four-2015-online-free-putlocker.html
It's in OK quality, not good and not bad. Just OK!
You will regret it
oh god, the shit behind the movie is better than the actual movie.
My honest opinion about all of this is that this movie will suck. Basically they made a syfy movie and call it "Fantastic Four". This movie has nothing to do with the comics. And is a real shame that FOX prefer to make a shit movie instead of give the rights back to Marvel.
yuankun99 There are no doubt many who feel that way.
yuankun99 "And is a real shame that FOX prefer to make a shit movie instead of give the rights back to Marvel." i mean sure if you buy a car fair and square but theres a bunch of people telling you to just hand it over to the other more capable driver, why should you? i hate marvel fanboys with marvels dick so up their asses tat they dont think straight. i mean yeah sure marvel is more capable of delivering a good movie than fox is but at the same time marvel is way to crowded now and would probably shelve the movie.
This is like a Documentary. Well done, sir.
Great video, really like your dissection. Only thing is playing the eerie horror movie music underneath really sets my anxiety on edge, so I had trouble watching part of it. Just some food for thought.
They call him Dank Trank.
Wow.
+Lenia N. Ldzn trank is a talentless hack, the real genius behind chronicle was Max Landis
Hey man, first time checking out your channel, amazingly well informed and educational, keep up the good work!
Jack Johnson Thanks, we will, and hope you will enjoy our other and future videos!
Very good video - it's obvious you put a lot of time and energy into this. Very eye-opening. I'm watching your review next. Thank you!
Hopefully this all leads to Marvel Studios getting the Fantastic Four movie rights back in exchange for Fox being allowed to make their X-Men TV show. It's a win-win situation for everyone.
Nexo213 Yes! So Fantastic Four can be generic again!
Great video. Really enjoyed this. Detailed and very informative, well done!
This was an excellent video. Well informed and well presented. Thank you.
It was around 10:53 when I realized why chills went up my spine. It was Josh Trank's sinister smile with that really creepy music.
I had to rewind because I was just staring at it, thinking of spooky stuff.
This was a brilliant and concise summation of what happened. Subscribed.
Love your series of the controversies behind movies. Very informative. Thanks man
This was amazing. Very well done, and I hope more people see this.
You've got a new sub here.
I couldn't help but notice that the BGM at 2:34 sounded very familiar. Were you using the score for the movie OBLIVION to help get the video going?
I think this is some pretty good reporting, very informative. I wonder what will become of Trank's career now that the movie is actually out and getting such negative reviews/low turn out. In any case, two thumbs up on the video. Was a nice watch.
Excellent video!!! I found it very interesting, especially in the wake of its' release.
Thank you!
Disney didn't buy a stake in Fix, they bought them out, and even decommissioned the brand
Blade proved that Marvel movies could be box office gold first. I'm sick of people discounting it as if it didn't matter or bombed at the box office.
+NavySharkz People don't dismiss it. But there's a major difference between Blade and Spider-Man. One is a bit edgier and darker, so that can be taken seriously at face value. Spider-Man proved that the goofy and colorful comic stuff could be box office gold
+Commander_Ninja Darn good reply. I didn't look at it that way but you have an excellent point.
This reminds me of the production problems with the film 'The Island of Dr. Monroe'(1996). Great video, keep making good content.
Henry Picklevitz The Exorcist prequel and Alien 3 too. Could even include the Dune movie or the Donner Superman films. Hollywood is always full of drama.
+azraelswrd but at least in those films, the director acted professionally, not like trank who thinks he is the next kubrick
litterally smokin a joint and i hear the background music of "because i got high" by afroman, lmfao!!
youtube demonetized this? Seriously? Great series btw.
what music is being used in the background? - sounds real good!
I give the cast credit for remaining quiet.
I loved the original Fantastic Four movies from 2005 and 2007. Galactus though...yeahhhh, that needed work.
It could have worked but after seeing Doom....
@@Toppshotta4 first one was not that bad. But the second one was boring and destroyed galactus
According to white leftists who think they're smarter than you, you are a white supremacist Klan member. 😒
We have much in common xd.
the film is currently sitting at a 20% on rotten tomatoes. Trank didn't prove anybody wrong
***** Will be interesting to see how that rating moves as more US reviews come in. Might move up some, but pretty sure it will stay deep within rotten territory.
***** NOw hve 14%, and Batman and Robin have 11%
***** 7% right now, lol this is fucking hilarious
What's with all the thumb-downs?
This was a very well made video detailing the facts and issues behind the scenes.
Thanks man! Some people just can't handle the truth about Fox and Trank. You'd be surprised how many deniers there are.
Midnight's Edge I was shocked too, but you had all the backup. No use in denying anything. Thanks for making the video, I just subscribed and I'll look into the podcast!
Commander_Ninja Awesome, we hope they and our other videos, both discussion and documentary style, will be to your liking!
Gotta say: the part of "Tr4nk unchained" with that music and Trank's photo was SUPER creepy to me.
Excellent video and very informative! Keep it up!
Well made and fascinating little doc there ! well done
Very entertaining, if not informative video. I knew that this movie had issues behind the camera, but wow, I didn't realize it had this much baggage.
Exactly. Wtf? I stopped as well. Interesting content destroyed by competing voices. Poor choice.
Yes, the background music is very disturbing.
Ultimate FF not popular with fans?! Not sure who you've been talking to but myself and every FF fan I know LOVES Ultimate FF. Personally it is my favourite FF book ever (up to volume 7).
Cool!
Great video! Whether all those alleged problems resulted in a terrible movie is the ultimate question though...I still got hope due to the charming cast but man those rumors suggest a massive trainwreck :/
MrFerenginar We will know on Wednesday, be sure to check out our review afterwards!
That noise you call background music chased me away at 8:00. See ya"!
this...this was something...amazing job! I subbed!
oscarnjboy Thanks, and welcome! You might be interested to know that we are right now working on the follow-up to this video, detailing everything that happened in the days before, during and after release.
This was really awesome/interesting. Would love more like this.
Hypno Bloom We have some similar videos on other topics, and will continue to bring you many more in the future!
this is amazing, I'm subed to the podcasts now as well!
Great video
Wow, you did a lot of research for this video. Interesting stuff! Trank sounds terrible.
Someone needs to make a mockumentary inspired by Trank's antics. That would be hilarious.
Good video man keep up the great work you earned a sub!
Thanos Titan Thanks, we will keep it up!
Very intresting! Do more, maybe on batman v superman, Eyes Wide shut, and the avengers age of ultron
r2c123 We will do plenty more! Just give us time, as that is one thing making these mini-documentaries consume a lot of - but check out the ones we've already done on Conan in the meantime!
It seems that the legacy of "Heaven's Gate" lives on...
Wow this was very in-depth. Lot's of info on this disaster of a film that I didn't even know about.
I still find it fascinating to look back at all this.
Great video. I have watched the circus of this movie's production but it was getting hard for me to track everything. Thanks for putting everything together and going super in-depth on the production.
The sooner this piece of shit bombs, the sooner Marvel can get Doom/SS/Galactus/etc. back.
SurgingChaos19 Thanks, that was what we were going for - deciphering this mess of a production, so everyone can see what has gone down, and why things are the way they are between Fox and Marvel.
this channel is wonderful
Amen to that!
Really thorough work. Well done!
Hello Film Guy Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Thank goodness Marvel saved Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan.
Have researched and published, mere whims I had, on some of this info. Great production, information, and video
Technically, there was ALREADY a crossover between the FF and X-Men, as "Francklin Richard" 's name was clearly visible in Styker's files, when Mystic was haking them, in X2
0:49-0:52 one of the most significant elements of the MCU is that there are NO secret identities. Kind of perfect
I can't tell you how happy I am that Fox failed to get their Daredevil reboot into production on time.
Everyone is
Didn't think I'd end up watching the whole thing, but I did.
Is it just me or does Trank look genuinely scary here?
Right?! Though the music may have something to do with that... :)
Midnight's Edge Something about his face just screams serial killer/psychopath. LOL
It's all in the crazy eyes...
Alan Smithee Fox studios gave him those eyes like the opposite of minority report eye scene lol
Alan Smithee Is that you mate,You are like the doctor keep on changing faces! lol
Funny how this is more likely to more entertaining than the new F4.
I wish I had watched this before going to see the movie. would have saved 2 hours of my life.
18:01
Is this Josh Trank we're talking about, or Phil Burnell - aka DarkSydePhil?
