- Ever wonder just what your local laundromat might me making in cash every week? Well, I bought one recently and am showing you all just how much! In this video, I show you what we brought in during week #31.

I've had one of those wallets (without the tracker) for over a year now. It's honestly a really good wallet if you don't need to keep a ton of cash/receipts. In fact it keeps you from just cramming in useless receipts and forgetting about them.

I was looking at a Triplex 4 years ago that was a month-to-month only rental. The owner purchased it for $13000 (it was in terrible condition), put about $80k into it and put together the units as 3 bed, 1 bath, in unit laundry. Every tenant was from a waiting list that the local social work office had, looking for housing for their tenants. Most of the time the person had a guarantor of their rent (sponsor, social worker, sibling, parent, etc.) and through a strict house rules policy, charged $500 a month per room all inclusive. Each of his 6 houses made $4k+/mo with tiny overheads and surprisingly low evictions (only 5 in 3 years across 6 of these type properties).
I think there is extremely high cash flow opportunity with running a sober house.

I appreciate these videos so much. I am also looking in to owning businesses and such and have felt quite lost for a while. Living paycheck to paycheck and working as a manager at a retail location. The channel Chock full of quarters seems to have figured out how to do videos and still have the coin noise in it without losing the voice.

Dallas TX has a laundromat/ concert venue. You can literally see major bands and wash clothes at the same time. Great place.

Do you have alot of repair issues at the laundrymat?
Do you pre open the quarter collections things before you start filming? Also and I'm going to repeat this but just please be safe collecting this money. I would hate for something to happen to you and you know with this being on the internet some people are pricks and will find your location just to be punks. So keep some security cameras good ones around your whole entire building inside and out.

If you count the quarters from the washer and driers shouldn't that be all the income you come since the quarter exchanger, whatever you take out you put back in? The $477 is just exchanged money right?

Use a tile for your keys its only $20 and i use it and its so useful
Change machine does make money people are renting your quarters. Say someone gets ten in quarters you keep their money but your quarters go back into the machine
You should invest in solar if you need tax breaks!

Ok I got a dumb question. Money from the coin changer isnt profit is it? Doesnt it just take in bills and give back change. So its a zero sum gain????
Mike Martin from my understanding, the quarters are not profit, those keep rolling into to the changer, the bills that he collects are the actual profits.
I take my own quarters just in case the changer is out or not working.
@@wildman6666 still don't understand. Sorry doesn't make sense. Turning a dollar into 4 quarters makes no profit. Only when the quarters are used does it create a profit.

Well, I was curious about the laundry's income. But I guess I'm still SOL on finding out how much wood a woodchuck would chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
I know its almost like click bait. Leading the viewer in hopes of advertising. Very frustrating for someone that wants to know an estimate on this type business. Never really says. Disappointing.

What about utilities? I would guess your utility cost is around 25%. What about insurance? What about maintenance and cleaning cost? What about rent and or mortgage for the building and property? It takes money to make money. Of course you know that and I know that! Enquiring minds want to know.

Brandon - Maybe, I missed this answer in another video of yours, if so kindly point me in that direction. You've mentioned before 'most' of your quarters go back into the change machine. I guess this means you only need to deposit the cash at the bank, and not roll/bag up the coin? Or do you still need to deposit lots of coins?

@@InvestmentJoy If you're interested in providing mass, cheap housing, you should definitely look into container homes. You can even use them to replace all the run-down crap at the trailer park as well.
They last for 25+ years, are fireproof, require extremely little maintenance, are stupidly cheap and modular (being essentially large, hollow rectangles).

@@Coecoo I've talked to three maybe four container companies and the in cost was 50% higher than I can build a house for. Not a container house with 7 ft High ceilings terrible insulation that gets hot in the summer and ugly design but an actual real house
@@InvestmentJoy You must have spoken to some pretty terrible companies, then. All online sources point towards new, 40 foot long containers costing around 4-5k.
And like i said, they are modular. You can put them on-top of each-other if you want a 14 foot ceiling design. As for insulation, shipping containers have grooves that are perfect for filling out with insulation material with there even being kits available for this.
As for aesthetics.. Well, besides the subjective point of it (and having this be in no way a priority for someone who is homeless/jobless), there's nothing stopping you or any future owner of snazzying the outside and inside up with whatever flavor one desires. Just google "container homes" and browse the pictures to get an idea of what's possible.
