Not that I blame him, he's had a neglectful father that locked him up, which left no room for him to learn to pick up signals like that from Marinette, and it's even harder for him to realize his romantic feelings for her. And it's crazy to think that Adrien had already loved Marinette with or without the mask, he was comfortable with the idea of kissing Marinette even if it's just for a school play, and he had loved Ladybug, which is also Marinette since their very first akuma battle.
