One of the greatest songs on the More Tales album..... I never get tired of hearing it even now, some 25 years on! It just evokes so much in me...... feelings of doubt, regret, hope, despair, elation, and vindication - all at once. Holy Joy make music that is as wild and ecstatic as a roundabout careering out of control - orchestrated chaos - and so brilliant with it.
What The Moon Saw has to be number one in my book. It's so difficult to choose just one pure BoHJ moment from so many in their catalogue, but in a very tight contest which features at least eight or nine other truly stellar moments (including You've Grown So Old...., Leaves..., The Boy Sailor, Rosemary Smith, Consumption, Tide Of Life, Nightjars, Tactless, Grace Darling) , that one edges it by a mere whisker!
