Can the GPs please remember that the public have been waiting nearly 2 years for medical assistance. The public have been coping with their medical issues with no access to face to face consultations or referrals to specialists for chronic conditions, some of which are having devastating affects on their lives. There are people needing to be diagnosed and tested for complex conditions and we are having to wait unprecedented times for only telephone appointments which at best are not fit for purpose. We, the public, have continued to pay out taxes which pay for wages and services while we have seen our own jobs become obsolete, businesses closing at a rate we have never seen before and at no fault of the business owners or their staff and the resulting poverty and mental health problems this brings with no access to counselling services because of the pandemic rules. Please can the GP services be patient and understanding towards the plight of patients who can not afford private medical care as I have noticed that there is a massive difference in the way private v NHS patients are getting treated.

Barton Road surgery has always been an unwelcoming place.it's a struggle to get an appointment and then you feel rushed out by the doctor.
" Help your your GP surgery help you " stay away, do not contact us. Suffer in silence !
I wonder how much someone got paid for this.

The receptionist found me aggressive and impatience ?
This is the reason why she forward to me this video?
    I am very annoyed,
she assumed that I was aggressive
I can’t believe it.. I was so calm.
The receptionist of Rosebank surgery need to be less judgmental
    and more understanding.

Tbh my doctors have been absolutely awful most of the time I don't even get a appointment havee to redo another Econsult or get a reply/call when they are supposed to but dont and also the rudeness is both ways the staff haven't been the friendliest either. I understand its been a harder time but the service I have mostly received has been diabolical.

So in other words, most of us are forgotten whilst the very sick are dealt with. I have even tried to sign up as an online patient so I can have an online appointment, did the registration , been waiting weeks for the surgery to contact me so I can go and complete the registration and get a user name and password. Get the feeling they just want those of us with what they consider to be lesser conditions to go away and die. I am a diabetic and three times my diabetic nurse has forgotten to ring me, twice to do with medication changes, so I have been left with no medication. That is why people are becoming frustrated, that is why A & E's are being overrun with people who shouldnt be there. Yes I understand the work that has gone into Covid, my surgery is one of the vaccination centres, but the rest of us are being fogotten.

I understand you have been extremely busy as have many other key workers such as myself and my husband but when a member of your family is extremely poorly with a respiratory illness (not covid) and has asthma and calls to make an appointment to be told we can't see you for a month that's not good enough if we would have waited a month that family member may well have died, she was actually extremely poorly and the doctor that eventually saw her was shocked at how poorly she was. The system is not working and needs to be improved. You can't cope with the patient's you already have at the surgery yet you are advertising spaces for more patients its crazy, doctors need to start working weekends and evenings on shift patterns patients are not just ill Monday to Friday 9 to 5.

Just like any other tax funded service its second rate I'm not gonna sit there and pretend that taking a fifth of my income and delivering absolutely abysmal service is acceptable.
It's not the individuals fault who work there and aggression towards staff is unacceptable but I'm sorry to say it's understandable.

the doctors and nurses have done a first class job, and are still doing it, we thank them for their mammoth effort , It is the Conservative government that have failed all of us. I remember the time before the NHS, people feared to call a doctor, through lack of money , this generation should make certain that the NHS is maintained and fully funded for the next generation ,do not allow those in Westminster to destroy or run down the health service it is our choice r

Christ, blaming the government is an incredibly Ill informed judgement. I'm totally working class, I've never stopped working all of my life, I feel happy that the current government has done all it can do. Torys are now for the working class.

@@paulhiggins3590 is this the same government who's leader hasn't taken COVID seriously? The same government who initially told us not to wear masks? Who didn't close borders until it was too late? Who have scrapped every COVID measure, despite the continuing threat of the Delta variant? If that's doing a passable job, I'd hate to see what not doing a passable job looks like. 🙄

gp surgeries could not care less - that is why accident and emergency hospital departments are always so full - they are the ones doing the real hard work. What happened to booking a gp appointment instead of having to ring at 8 a.m. with everyone else and then told the day's appointments are full try again tomorrow!! Money for old rope.
