As pretty much every other post says, the solution is bound gold. Somewhere between 50-75% of the current gold converted to bound for 1640 raids makes it unprofitable to take a bus, less efficient for the alt roster, and barely effects a new/returning player. On top of this you could add a new player event where your first 5 clears of each raid on each difficulty per character reward extra materials and bound gold to make getting into T4 raids doable without having an express event up.
The issue with bussing in MMOs isn’t the concept itself-it makes sense for free-to-play hardcore players who can’t or don’t want to spend money but still need extra gold. In an ideal scenario, bussing would allow these players to support themselves while engaging with the game’s economy. However, the reality is different. The RMT Problem The biggest issue stems from Real Money Trading (RMT). Instead of bussing primarily benefiting free-to-play players, the richest players on the server dominate the bussing market. These players buy gold from others who sell it, creating a cycle where RMT flourishes. This not only distorts the in-game economy but also makes it harder for legitimate players to compete. Lack of a Strong Casual/Free-to-Play Base A healthy MMO needs a solid mix of both hardcore and casual players. But in this case, the casual and free-to-play population isn’t large enough to sustain itself. As a result, players can’t organically group up and progress together. Most people aren’t hardcore-they log in for a couple of hours to have fun, not to optimize every aspect of their gameplay. The problem isn’t just that people are “bad” at the game; it’s that the game doesn’t foster an environment where they can thrive. The Economy’s Wealth Gap The bussing economy further deepens the gap between rich and poor players. Those who already have wealth continue to get richer, while those who rely on buying carries remain stuck. This stunts progression for new, casual, or free-to-play players, as they become dependent on paid services instead of improving their skills and advancing through content naturally. Toxicity and DPS Meters DPS meters are a double-edged sword. While they are incredibly useful for self-improvement and optimizing performance, they also contribute significantly to the game’s toxicity. Instead of being a tool for progress, they often become a means for gatekeeping and shaming players. When weighing the positives against the negatives, the toxicity they bring often outweighs their benefits, at least in the current state of the game. The Core Issue: Poor Design & Lack of RMT Enforcement No one is inherently against bussing-it’s the poor implementation and lack of proper RMT regulation that make it problematic. If RMT were properly addressed and the game were designed to better support a diverse player base, bussing wouldn’t be as big of an issue. Right now, it exacerbates existing problems rather than solving them, making the overall experience worse for everyone except the wealthiest players. If the game had a much larger player base-say, 200k active players instead of 25k-the dynamics would be very different. There would be a healthier mix of groups forming naturally, reducing the reliance on paid carries. But in its current state, bussing and RMT, combined with an imbalanced economy and community toxicity, create a vicious cycle that hurts the game more than it helps.
well said, however the current state is the result of failed design after failed design. SG focus only on the whale group and try to milk as much as they can for the last 3 years couple with a L publisher like AGS that cause irriversible damage to the Western server In the KR side, there have been many backlashes recently however a lot of player are still willing to eat whatever sh!t SG throw at them so it will take another long time before it completely burn to fix the issue.

"AGS will do something good" lol. They've nerfed the amount of gold you can earn at the highest powerpass level and even with express events so much that the game is completely inaccessible to new players while everyone is quitting. Getting into T4 requires months of diligent work, these express events are like only useful for veterans, and the player numbers have fallen off of a cliff.
How are we supposed to hone, buy jewelery, and finish transcendance if all our gold is paid for the bus ? I think the actual system is clean it allows us to keep playing, if they make the bus's more expensive than the rewards we'll be left with nothing after the bus, we wont be able to buy the gears or it will make it that it takes literal months to progress, that's not helping anyone.

Its not hard to understand inflation fills sg pocket so it will never be fixed. And only way to fix is simply pumping resources more. Bussing and rmt simply by product of inflation. Rmt or not prices gonna get high if there is no abundance of said items (gems, relic books etc.)
Definitely class balance should come or raid difficulty should be suitable for every class. It is very difficult to make brel hard with characters with low mobility. each attack hits at least 90k and sometimes you can't escape.
Quick and simple solution to reduce bus, it's to force players to play. Add a really soft dps check that 6 out of 8 players in a party must have to start each mechs otherwise boom wipe. That way parties still have a margin of error of 2 dead players to start all mechs but atleast 6 players will have to be alive and playing. Lets say for exemple min dps required for brel HM is 100m, make it that the top 6 players must have atleast 70m to be able to start the mech that way only 2 ppl will be able to be bussed at best per raid and if busser really wanna go through that trouble they will have to heavily increase the gold from buyer, reducing the amount of buyer because most of them are rat alt roster that want gold without playing.
Please do not lower the rewards for aegir and below content. Imagine as a new or returning player you get to Tier 4, you have a bunch of different new goldsinks (Gems, Honing, Advanced Honing, Transcendence, Accessory refining, Weapon/Armor Crafting. What they rather should do is trying to prevent veterans from creating more than 6 gold earners and destroying the market with inflation because they fight amongst themselfes to a race who can get lvl 10 gems and relic books first.
Making lower tier raid rewards bound instead of decreasing the total amount is def the way. Banning bussers / alt accounts is ideal but unrealistic af imo.
They could also lower the gold needed for those systems down to "reasonable for t3" levels. At this point, all Tier 3 content should give minimal gold and require minimal gold. We're already getting free T4 chars from power pass/express events, Tier 3 just needs to be phased out. Advanced Honing 1-20 definitely needs a balance pass, maybe cut the requirements down to 1/4 of what they currently are. It's supposed to be 1630 content, but it's not cost effective to do advanced honing 20 until you're basically 1680.
@@RunItsTheCat Honestly, I think the best solution to this problem would be to leave roster-bound and gold-bound material on the entire account that was below a certain horizontal content requirement (roster level 170+, some continents in adventure book, titles, etc., etc.). No person with alternative accounts would spend weeks or even months redoing horizontal content just to finally get gold again, and in the end still have the risk of being banned. In exchange, for the "real" players who still can't access the market because they have all the bound items, an exclusive store would be created to help them progress more quickly. Obviously there would still be gold sellers, but in a much smaller number. And of course, they should also work on a way to incentivize players to buy carries.
@matheusferreira5076 As effective as that may be for eliminating alts you would still end up with the problem where new players who don't like horizontal content would be forced to stay a rat until they reach roster 170, which takes a lot longer than one might think, even after getting the "essentials" like skill pts and enlightenment potions (note a new player only has 1 char). This would only work if new players basically started off with every aspect of the character they would need to contribute to a raid (at this pace, Aegir and Brel will be the first raid a new player starts with within the year, and by then they'll need all engraving books at at least legendary + like t4 lvl 7 bound gems to be not considered a "rat" and actually join lobbies).
When developers will add solo-raid to ALL RAIDS not 1-2 raid per half year, than game will change for the better, i will be not need this endless sorry-tickets with relic engraving, i will just collect resourses for boosting my damage which give actual raid; They have expirience with turning 4-8 raid to 1 man raid, why they still didnt do elastic raids for 2-16 people; there are no competitors, we do what we want and apologize to those who than go to Marple, wish we will never seen, Marple is looking like game for 70 iq and rmt's; Very many toxic, hypocrite, aggressive, tricky people who were trained to do like that because of game design, good job - you trained so many to be like that and shutting them up without solving the problem; 5 alts are not alts they are 5 slaves for oldest char; Fix the game to be fun, why so lazy.
It's useless to divide the raids into several difficulties if the rewards are different materials, the solution would be to give the same materials but in different quantities, it's like the first raids, why would you do Valtan for several weeks on normal if then you have to do it for several weeks on hard when it's "better" to try it on hard directly, besides the fact that this already seems like a vicious circle, a new very difficult raid comes out, people complain, the director comes out to apologize, "fix" it and say that they will never do it again and then they repeat the process
Memo you are rigth, the major difficulty of this game is people. In brel hard week one me and 2 more friends tried to cleared we had our 100m+ dps but we couldnt cleared because people suck soo much that it was impossible to do it. It was always we 3 at 10 bars in 5sec to berser because other were doing 80mill dps ... so yeah they should balance the game like most people play and that's pugging and director did nothing with this response the core problem is still there adv hone is too expensive for anyone that does not bus or RMT
If you mind a EU player say their opinion, bound gold will solve the problem of 1640 alts. Reduce gold from 1640 alts, and mokokos get gold per each clear they get. As an example, imagine that on a party there's a 1640 alt and a 1640 mokoko. Then the alt would get 5k per clear while the moko would get 5k gold per clear + 5k bound gold. with that system, u make sure the mokoko gets progress up as we have been, while those alt abusers get punished for playing on low levels. Also, with that reduction, u prevent bus and other stuff get beneficial. Even if a veteran creates a new account to get gold from being bussed (that's what happening rn), since the bound gold cannot be traded, the only active gold he gets will be just 5k gold, and u need to pay the buss with that active gold. Also, i suggest as memorizer said to increase the gold of all 1660+ (specially hard mode) in order to compensate those players that actually improve their character, to incentivate all players to gear up a content you would say they will get enough gold. For example, overall 1640 gold gained is decreased by 50%, but the gold gained as 1660 is only 20% reduction, and at 1680 there's no gold reduction, and at 1700 u get 20% more gold. With that, you solve all the issues about buss/alt and new players.
Mokoko system would be that you get 10 clears on brel nm, after that u get removed the mokoko. Ofc a rework on mokoko system prob better than the one i am giving here but i also believe we should suggest good ideas to developers to make changes faster and more predictable.
@@potatoe1975 yes ofc, bound ones u can only use. It's a very safe to do and there's no dramas. And u can seld the ones u don't want with crafting with normal gold.
@@Trastoto17 ok but even gambling for a good life skill tool can cost a few thousand gold… not to even mention, the profits and oreha quantity are minimal until your life skill level goes up so it’s not a great value comparing to just buying orehas with gold off the market which bound gold can’t do.
@@potatoe1975 there's ways to compensate mokokos, here in EU and NA we had an event that each time u were running with a mokoko, veterans were getting tickets and new players were getting another kind of tickets. With that system u can encourage them to play the game and get more rewards of what they need. Maybe they don't need abidos and they need leapstones, then they can chose what they need. And if the lvl it's the problem, u can always give them x2 exp until u reach lvl 30 on the profession. There's systems to make it possible and it already exists on the game. Now, we only need to tell it to the SG ppl to understand that the money mostly comes from veterans, and once the mokoko loses that advantadge, since they will be hooked to the game, it will make them want to spend money etc
A possible solution that might affect their pockets and may never be implemented is to release a way to get t3 systems like elixirs, FULL trans, and honing to t4 content WITHOUT gold and remove gold from t3 raids. Make some new currency that you attain and use for all t3 related content and anyone at t4 levels just gets the previous systems for free.
Idk they literally have fucking bound gold. Just fucking give less normal gold from these raids and more bound to progress. But still gems and engravings are really big problem.
In case of the inflaction, talking about buses, opa system, etc. idk if this is stupid, but why SG dont limit prices in market, like in BDO, i talk about like you can put 250K Gold for each relic engraving or less of course. yeah u fuck up whales and they would be mad, but come on, they should think a little in the pugs that dont live by the game and still want to do the last content
it's simple just give lower tier raids half the gold as bound gold and other half as unbound gold so they are forced to upgrade or stay in lower and gain less gold most of these players are just gold sellers and alt rosters anyway so give them bound gold simple soulation
In other words, they address only very small aspects of what makes the game bad right now, but don't addresses the elephants in the room. Especially market prices. Yep... game is doomed. Time to prepare exit.
Game is getting even worst. Raid is harder, gold is insufficient, shit is expensive, busing, rmt, wtf the list can go so fcking long. Its really a dead game soon.
For me, the changes that would possibly improve the game a lot: - Prevent any account that does not have a certain level of horizontal content (for example, having more than 180 lv roster and some adventure books and collectibles completed) from getting anything tradable, from gold to daily and weekly farm items, and everything is roster bound. In exchange, create an exclusive store for new players with honing items among other things that they would normally buy on the market to evolve. And also, it would give the only option to have tradable gold before reaching these requirements, if the player bought this gold through royal crystal, either by exchanging it directly for gold or selling exclusive royal crystal skins. This would further reduce the game's inflation for everyone. - Put a gold and material debuff punishment for players who do nothing in the raid, or put in very little effort, while rewarding players who put in effort in the raids. This would make life much harder for carry sellers, and would also punish players who just like to do the bare minimum, hoping to be rewarded at the end. In practical terms, I would put a weekly debuff on the entire roster. Every time a player makes "obvious" mistakes in raids, dies too early, or something like that, they receive a level of gold debuff, which would affect all characters on the account. - I would nerf all normal modes even more, in terms of mechanics, damage, and raid HP (except the last two). To the point where any newbie would understand how to do it in 2 or 3 attempts. We have to remember that we are no longer 2-3 years ago, when a new player had a much easier learning curve, starting with raids from t1-2, and the initial t3, so there is a huge difference between starting the game learning how to do Argos and Valtan, and starting the game today, and having to learn how to do Ivory, Thaemine... This is ridiculously complicated for any new player. Leave the normal mode very "noob" to do until Echdina, and start the "real" difficulty only in the last 2 raids, where the gatekeep for new players is completely understandable... - One last thing about solo mode, I think it should be more similar to group mode, solo mode should work much more like a mode where you learn the main mechanics to play later in a group, rather than a mode that is just a convenience if you don't want to do it in a group...
lol so director bozo does not really address any sh!t about core issues 😂 lol anyone hope AGS will do good thing is also coping hard. They have been a big L publisher in everything they touch so far.

This would only work if new players basically started off with every aspect of the character they would need to contribute to a raid (at this pace, Aegir and Brel will be the first raid a new player starts with within the year, and by then they'll need all engraving books at at least legendary + like t4 lvl 7 bound gems to be not considered a "rat" and actually join lobbies).

ty to KR for tanking the hits so we will suffer less
When developers will add solo-raid to ALL RAIDS not 1-2 raid per half year, than game will change for the better, i will be not need this endless sorry-tickets with relic engraving, i will just collect resourses for boosting my damage which give actual raid;
They have expirience with turning 4-8 raid to 1 man raid, why they still didnt do elastic raids for 2-16 people; there are no competitors, we do what we want and apologize to those who than go to Marple, wish we will never seen, Marple is looking like game for 70 iq and rmt's;
Very many toxic, hypocrite, aggressive, tricky people who were trained to do like that because of game design, good job - you trained so many to be like that and shutting them up without solving the problem;
5 alts are not alts they are 5 slaves for oldest char;
Fix the game to be fun, why so lazy.
It's way too late. They needed to fight for changes 2 years ago if they wanted to fix the game, not now.
Noted
AGS is extremely incompetent rn, I doubt they'll do something lol. 50-75% Bound gold for lower ilvl raids would fix the inflation issue most likely
Are people supposed to craft their own orehas if they get bound gold then?
The amount you need to get to 1660 is very high.
In case of the inflaction, talking about buses, opa system, etc. idk if this is stupid, but why SG dont limit prices in market, like in BDO, i talk about like you can put 250K Gold for each relic engraving or less of course. yeah u fuck up whales and they would be mad, but come on, they should think a little in the pugs that dont live by the game and still want to do the last content
new and returning players(with no sweatlord titles xdd) should have a gold earn buffs like some gienah's blessing or some shit
Remove all wipe mechs from the game? Problem solved!
Keep the same gold on 1640+ but make it mostly bound
AGS will suck D about doing anithing how thei should as usual
it's simple just give lower tier raids half the gold as bound gold and other half as unbound gold so they are forced to upgrade or stay in lower and gain less gold most of these players are just gold sellers and alt rosters anyway so give them bound gold simple soulation
Its really a dead game soon.
class balance patch............................................................................
For me, the changes that would possibly improve the game a lot:
- Prevent any account that does not have a certain level of horizontal content (for example, having more than 180 lv roster and some adventure books and collectibles completed) from getting anything tradable, from gold to daily and weekly farm items, and everything is roster bound.
Thank god they nerfed it
lol so director bozo does not really address any sh!t about core issues 😂
lol anyone hope AGS will do good thing is also coping hard. They have been a big L publisher in everything they touch so far.
dont worry. ags is doing a bigger troll to compete with sg
Just make the gold reward 100% limited if the player died during the raid. Stop this bus madness.
TBH, according to Zloa KR players did go to ACT 3 raid undergeared.
1640 raid should only give BOUND GOLD, and BOUND MATERIALS. and forced people to move upper or stay behind.
Main problem of lost ark is the community.
deal less than 5% dps - get no gold easy
