- Back in 2020, just before the whole world went into lockdown, we were gifted one final theatrical treat in the form of 'Sonic the Hedgehog,' the improbably well-received big screen adaptation of the beloved video game series of the same name. Thanks to the charming buddy relationship between Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz) and his human pal Tom (James Marsden), as well as Jim Carrey's turn as villain Dr. Robotnik, the film was a hit, so everyone happily returned for a second go-round, and this time they brought some friends. Idris Elba joins the cast as Knuckles the Echidna, who teams up with Dr. Robotnik, and Colleen O'Shaughnessey voices Miles "Tails" Prower, a two-tailed fox who joins forces with Sonic to thwart Robotnik's plans. Ahead of the film's release, RT correspondent Nikki Novak chatted with Carrey, Schwartz, Marsden, Elba, O'Shaughnessey, co-stars Tika Sumpter and Natasha Rothwell, and director Jeff Fowler about working on the project and what it feels like to be so accepted by the fan community. Carrey also explains how he throws hundreds of ideas into his work and feels heartbroken when only a few make it into the final product, and Elba enthusiastically demonstrates how he recorded all of Knuckles' grunts and groans. We need Jim Carrey in Sonic 3 if someone where to take his place, me and other people would be devastated and heartbroken Jim Carrey is a classic and there's nobody in the world that can beat his funniness and brilliant entertaining talent, matter of fact we should protest and make sure Jim Carrey gets into Sonic 3 otherwise if he's not in Sonic 3 it would be the end of the world and it would ruin the Sonic 3 movie forever,
Perhaps someone can explain this to me. Radheyan Simonpillai gave this movie 4/5 but it displays a rotten grade for it. Someone else can give it 3/5 or 3.5/5 and a fresh rating. Is there any chance we might see more standardization in the future?

The movie was average, the first sonic movie was move down to earth.
Sonic 1 was easily a 8/10 and Sonic 2 personally for me is 9.5/10

@@roygbiv7807 this movie feel more heart because they listen to fans and add a bunch of easter egg and nod to the games the first one is almost a generic animated with live action film they only took it seriously because fan demand it hell without fans the first movie is suck
